I stopped by Sapporito for dinner a few weeks ago. It seemed like a decent pizza joint. The menu had a huge variety of pizzas though. They even offered zeppoles. Unfortunately I did not have room for those after my dinner. :( I got an order of garlic knots, which were super doughy- just the way I liked. My kids and I were so impressed with the Sicilian pizza slices that we brought the whole family back to try an entire pie, and it didn't disappoint. The sauce was delightful, not too sweet nor tart, and perfectly complemented with a just-right ratio of cheese. Plus, it was cooked all the way through, not dried out like at some places, and definitely not runny. The service was fast and friendly, and the no-nonsense, family-friendly atmosphere provided a place to dine where we didn't have to worry too much about our kids being too noisy or too messy. Saporito's will surprise you if you visit. I remember the first time i had it was at work. we ordered pizza and wings and it was perfect. The wings were flavorful and crispy. the pizza was warm, soft and thin. it was a day to keep eating even when you were full. it was that good. The second time i went in person and got a few pizza slices out on display and some freshly heated wings. the pizza was definitely just as good as it was before, maybe even better getting it freshly heated in their oven. While I was in the area today for a client meeting, I went into this pizza place for a slice. On Route 22, you will literally find every chain restaurant, Smash Burger, Taco Bell, Wendy's, White Castle, Popeye's etc. It is nice to find a well-run local pizza shop that does it right. Went in today for a slice of the butcher block Sicilian slice and a can of Pepsi. First off, the price point, for a giant slice and a can of soda, it was 6.50, which was a fair deal, if not on the cheaper side. The slice was fantastic and warmed up fresh in front of me. The slice was easily 4 inches by 4 inches and 2 inches high. The slice was perfect. It had the exact amount of sauce, the cheese was in ratio as well, and had 3 meats on it, making it a butcher block slice. The meats were pepperoni, meatball and sausage. The best compliment I can give it, was it is perfect as is. There was no need to add any oregano, garlic salt, crushed red pepper flake, extra cheese, nothing. While I did not have another slice, as I was full, they had a full array of slices behind the counter as well as garlic balls, zeppole, Jamaican beef patties, calzones, etc. Finally, the place has a large parking lot with ample parking. Was in town on business and had a meeting near by. I asked what the best slice in the area was and they said "Saporitos" is the place to go. Stopped in and grabbed a classic cheese slice and a Brooklyn slice. The two slices and a soda was about $9. They grabbed the slices and threw them in the oven to reheat. I think they could've left them in a little longer because they were warm, but not hot. As a matter of fact, by the time i got through the regular slice, the Brooklyn slice was kinda cold. Either way both slices has tons of flavor. The classic had no flop, but rather it had a good crisp while having a good chew in the crust. The Brooklyn style was not something i was used to. It was more like a tomato pie slice with no cheese on top. I threw some parm cheese on top and it was DELICIOUS! I bet it would've been even better hot. If I'm ever back in the area, i will definitely drop in again, but I'll ask for the slices to be left in a little longer! read more

Honestly, I come here for just the one variety of slice, the grandpa (fresh sweet sausage, green and red peppers). The toppings are plentiful, and the crust is wonderfully thin and crisp. A while back originally I gave Saporitos a 3 star review for being our new weekly Pizza place. And to me 3 stars, that's good. The pizza is fresh hot and delicious. Lots of options. And staff that is friendly and helpful. My family loves the pizza. My mom could not stop saying how good it was. She even took a pie home for her husband to try. After frequenting now for about a year or more I am kicking the rating up to 5 stars! Why the change of star? What did it for me is the bruschetta pizza! It is AMaZING!!! It is my favorite and I always get a slice. It's the basil drizzle that does it for me. It is exquisite! Clearly the owner cares greatly about the ingredients. Oh! The sauce is something really special. The plain pizza, the grandma pizza, the grand pa and the Brooklyn. Lots of variety. The place is clean. Heard a lot of great things about Sapporito but our first experience here was just meh. Hopefully just a bad day and we'll be back. 4 specialty slices and a plain + a ginger ale cost 18 bucks, which I guess is average or a touch high priced. The slices themselves varied in quality - plain slice was too salty. Grandma slice was good and flavorful. Sicilian was not bad and the meat lover slice had some sort of mystery sausage meat that was very brittle and soft. read more

The square pie is great. You have to emphasize that you need plates. I had a mishap once where I asked for plates and the cashier was rude to me ""I already gave you some" and quickly went to another customer. I patiently waited for her to be done and I asked her for more. She said "ugh how much more" my response - enough for my $125 order." This happens every single time I order. I can order 2 pies, sandwich and salad and they want to give 2 paper plates and half a napkin. And hardly will they give me utensils for salad. You really cant go wrong here.. at all! This is a usual go-to lunch spot for my work crew, and we are never dissatisfied! While i dont have a specific meal to rave about right this moment, i will provide a list of some of ny favs.. 1. Slices are all great, esp the bruschetta, chicken parm and chicken bacon ranch slices. Cant go wrong w plain/pepp/saus either, the more traditional way.. 2. Chicken caesar salad. Plentiful, tasty grilled chicken, and the dressing is on point.. that matters a ton. 3. Chkn caesar wrap. Equally delicious to the above mentioned. 4. Ital chicken cheesesteak. Really not much that needs to be said.. its justt made, well, perfectly. They work all contents in together on the sangwich, as opposed to stacking and not getting the full effect of each part combined. These round out my top go-to meals from here. The cheesesteaks are just steak'ems with cheese slapped on them, they are actually steaks like you would get on the Boardwalk. The amount of fries you get for a single order is amazing!
