Dr. Bogden actually called me at work and argued with me over wanting my records! How unprofessional!! I then turned them into OCR for a HIPPA violation which it was taken over by the OCR for investigation. He accused me of non-payment for products I hadn't even received yet due to their office closing for 4 months due to covid.... yet I was blamed for not paying for a product I had not received yet NOR did I ever receive a prior bill so it could have been paid. I sent in a check with my request for my records and they claimed they never saw the check which was wrapped inside the letter... so if they got the letter, they got the check yet it came off missing - very untrustworty! Receptionist also did not know how to code claims properly therefore my insurance did not pick up the cost for my exam sending it back to me.... BAD service! Watch your bill! And your rights!

I barely sat down when Nurse Kara called me into a room. She was efficient and caring. She did a Covid test and said it would be an hour for the results. I sat back down in the waiting room and she called me in 30 minutes later with a positive result. She said the doctor would be in shortly, and she was! Dr Lew was a delight! Extremely kind and helpful. She prescribed Paxlovid and called the script into the hospital pharmacy. When we arrived there, the staff was working on our insurance to determine the medication cost. I cannot say enough about how helpful Hilary was! I really appreciated her going the extra mile to help us out. Would highly recommend Pen Bay Medical. Everyone there was top level

On the website they say they are open to complimentary medicine "Though we approach most routine health care issues from a traditional "western" perspective, we understand that, for many, complementary medicine plays an important role in their overall health. We respect this approach and, when appropriate, we will weave this into the health care plan." This is simply not true. I have had an amazing Naturopathic Doctor for 15 years in another state that has been the only one to have any knowledge to help me with severe auto-immune disorders and tricky thyroid issues. He called to tell me that he "does not believe in that model of care" and "does not believe in Naturopathic Doctors" and was not even willing to call mine. He then added he would not "just drop me" but would write me one more script for my thyroid medicine. Gee... thanks - considering that if I do not have thyroid meds I could get very sick and eventually slip into a fatal coma (which almost happen a while back with another negligent doctor). My husband had a similar experience, yet not as bad. He went in because he could barely walk with back issues. He was basically told that he is getting old (he is 40) and does manual labor and shouldn't expect much, and because he doesnt have money they won't order tests for him. My husband felt like the doctor made up his mind and stopped listening before he even finished describing his issues and what he has already done to help. The FNP then said he "would probably fail at PT". Who tells their patient that?! You might say it will be tough, it might be a challenge fitting it in or sticking with it, or it might not work for you - but why would a doctor phrase it that way?
