Called and spoke with staff twice about dropping my truck off confirming they do a free diagnostic. both times explained what the symptoms were with my transmission so they had a clear idea of the problem. both times I was told it would take 2-3 hours for a FREE DIAGNOSTIC to let me know what was wrong with my transmission. I dropped my truck off on a Friday morning and waited at home. Saturday I was told by the owner, his technician was gone and he would get in touch with me Monday afternoon. Well Monday at 415 pm I finally called and spoke with Josh who said he would try to have an answer for me by the end of day if not he would call me first thing tomorrow (Tuesday). I called back an hour later and just told them to forget the entire thing I just wanted my truck back. Ironically enough Josh asked me what was wrong with my transmission! For a 3rd time I explained what it was doing to which he said "that's going to be inside your transmission we don't do that for free we would have to drop your transmission and look inside it". DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE JOKERS THEY ARENT WHO YOU WANT TOUCHING YOUR VEHICLE!!!!! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!! read more

veteran too veteran don't go here, I had my vehicle here twice, the first time i picked it up because they told me it was the catalytic converter, I got called 4 times being pushy trying too sell me the convertor. Ended up dropping it back off due to needing my vehicle in a timely manner and decided to give them another shot. (needed vehicle quick due to taking my daughter back to her mom per custody order) I was informed that I'd have my vehicle back to me an fixed with what needed to be replaced by the next day, was called that day and told it would be the next day before I had it which was pushing it bexcuse that was the day I was supposed to leave too drop her off, but they told me I would get it back in the morning so I ran with it even though I would be a couple hours late. I get called that morning saying id get it the next day after that due to them not ordering the right convertor even though I was told two days ago I'd have it back and fixed. i go pick it up after two different unprofessional yelling matches with the owner and manager, had to go find my vehicle in their back lot after the owner threw my key up on the desk. unprofessional through an through and also lairs, because my convertor was not the issue after taking it somewhere else, it was my O2 sensor which I had asked them if they were okay which was responded with they look great. My experience was awful. I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours by myself waiting for just an oil change. Nobody came up to me and gave me updates nobody ever checked in. My car was on the lift the whole time and never got touched. One old man came in and wanted somebody to use a scanner on his truck and he sat in the corner for an hour and nobody looked at his truck so he left. Awful service would not recommend. read more

Horrible service so far, had my transmissions replaced and it's shifting 10x harder than it was before. They said it was a problem I had to fix, I fixed the problem and they still won't fess up and sort it out even though the work is still under warranty! I wouldn't even give them 1 star . I called and talked to them about rebuilding my transmission and they sounded very eager for me to bring it in . I got the truck there and all the sudden they want to go up on price $3000 and offer no warranty. Josh was polite but the older guy that works there needs to learn how to talk to folks. Very displeased with them and highly recommend not wasting your time with them . Needless to say I sent a wrecker to pick my truck up and do my business elsewhere read more

I brought my 2007 Chevy Silverado Z-71 to Mr. Transmission after it started having severe problems. A buddy of mine and another mechanic told me the problem was in the transfer case but, the truck didn't have Park or Reverse... I didn't want to waste time buying parts and guessing what the problem was so, I took it here. They were very upfront about what the problem could be then they diagnosed it, fixed it, and had my truck back to me before lunch on the third day!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! If there were an option for a negative number of stars, this establishment would get it as many as it would allow. I went in knowing I had a leak in my transmission and a bad front passenger axle. After being told that I needed to have my transmission rebuilt due to damage from the leak, I was quoted $1300 give or take one to two hundred dollars. I was guaranteed the best price around. (The owner will show you some rebuilt transmissions lying around. He'll say since he already has them, that's how he can offer such a low price.) I called my husband with the verbal estimate. (They wouldn't even give me a written estimate, saying they wouldn't be able to know the extent of the damage until "opening it up.") He thought that price seemed a little high, so I told the shop I'd have to think about it. After calling around, I ended up at AAMCO, which is on the same road just a few minutes down. All I needed was to replace the axle and have my transmission serviced, which involved replacing the leaking pan, not completely pulling and rebuilding it like Mr. Transmission had said. I got out the door for $301 and change at AAMCO. PLEASE DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY MR. TRANSMISSION! *I'm going to list this post in as many places as I can think of* read more

My Mother's 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan recently broke down on Thanksgiving day in Atmore, AL as she was traveling from Georgia to visit my home for Thanksgiving dinner. The following day on black Friday, I called Mr. Transmission in Pensacola, FL and they sent out a tow truck within 30 minutes to pick up the van and tow it over 25 miles to their repair shop on Davis Hwy. After they diagnosed that the transmission would need a full re-build, my Mother explained to them that she needed to return to Georgia as quick as possible and that she was paying for a hotel until her van was repaired. Mr. Transmission is normally closed on Sunday's but worked on their day off to fix her transmission and have her van ready to go by lunch on Monday!! Additionally, they found a crack in her radiator after repairing the transmission. With the knowledge that my Mother didn't have the money to pay such a large repair bill. They gave her a $500.00 discount and replaced the radiator without any labor charges!!! Everyone in the shop and office were very polite and kept in constant communication with my Mother throughout the process. She received a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty for the repairs. I highly recommend this shop of professionals to anyone with a transmission problem. read more

If there was a smaller number to rate them on then they would get it. the work is still not finished it has cost me way over the amount because of other things they said it needed done to fix the problem, but the problem still exists. In August 2014, I took my business truck to Mr. transmission shop to be repaired. the transmission that was going into neutral while driving. Mind you when i bought it in 2010 it had 78k on it when i took it to them it had about 98k so i don't drive it long distances. Well they didn't fix problem and cost me more money and time out of work to find the correct problem and still has the issue. In the amount of time between Aug. 2014 and June 2016 my truck has been at their shop several times to fix the neutral problem and many many phone calls about it. The more I called the more impolite he got. now they want to charge more money to fix a problem that it didn't have before ever, when it was picked up from the transmission shop the last time they looked at it. it slams into each gear. I called them immediately he told me it would get better as i drove it that the computer had to reset itself and the original problem is still there. i called around and found out you can't reset a factory computer. i have done everything this company wanted me to do to solve the original problem costing me more money and time out of work, because it is a business truck if it is not running i don't make any money. the owner / manager of the company lies to me so much about what is going on with the truck and things that he said they did, that he doesn't even remember his own lies, tells me he didn't say that. i would never recommend this company to anyone at this point. read more
