It makes me not want to order delivery or even order from them at all. It's very rude and unprofessional. The other night I had to shut the door on the driver. I won't be pressured or bullied into giving more because he didn't like the amount given, he's lucky he even got tipped as tipping is optional..

I wish I could give GARY WOO EXPRESS zero stars. In a order that totaled $67.31 one of the items was supposed to be steamed pork dumplings. Not realizing that it was shrimp dumplings, my husband ate one of the dumplings and within a few minutes couldn't breathe. It took a few minutes to get his Epipen and thank goodness we had one! But those few minutes were the most frightening! When I called GARY WOO EXPRESS and spoke with the owner she kept arguing that I ordered shrimp dumplings because that's what her girl who answers the phone insisted. She said she even read back the order telling me it was shrimp dumplings. She did read back the order, but she read "pork dumplings." The owner even had the nerve to say to me - "who am I suppose to believe - you or my hostess?!" She actually called me a liar! I know my husband is allergic to shellfish and that's why I would never order anything containing shrimp, crab or lobster - not even for myself. And so there's no way I ordered anything shrimp! The owner then told me that I could come and pick up an order of pork dumplings. I told her that I was throwing the entire order in the garbage and that at this point neither one of us could eat anything from GARY WOO EXPRESS, nor would we trust her that there's isn't shrimp in any of her other dishes. I just can't get over how the owner of GARY WOO EXPRESS is so cavalier about a customer with a food allergy. All this owner cares about is taking the customer's money. All I can say is Stay Away, GARY WOO EXPRESS is a VERY DANGEROUS place!!!! read more

The people here are disgusting! The way they speak to America people and treat them is disgusting. They yell and scream and speak to people like they are kings and queens and Americans are garbage. I will never support this restaurant I will never order from them. These people should be shut down or at least taught how to treat and speak to their customers. Especially being in business in Boca Raton. A place like this should be shut down!! I would think twice before supporting these people and their business. read more

Got take out from here recently and was looking forward to "Authentic New York Chinese food". The food was okay, not great. Wasn't disappointed at all, just nothing spectacular about any of it. If this is what I would expect from China Town in New York, then I probably won't visit any time soon. This place is on par with any other Chinese place around. I also added two egg rolls to the order: Shrimp and roast pork. The food was prepared really quickly and it was well-prepared. The egg rolls were fried to a golden brown with adequate filling. Nothing too special about the wonton soup. It was a small container filled with three wontons and a few sliced scallions in a deep yellow broth. The orange chicken was prepared nicely with a flavorful orange sauce. The fried rice was cooked to a soft consistency without salt. I added some soy sauce for some flavor. Overall, the food was okay. It didn't wow my taste buds like the Coconut Creek location, but it was sufficient.

We had a good variety and we were pleased with all of the dishes. They use quality ingredients & also have brown rice. Good portion sizes too (plenty of leftovers for lunch). As a New Yorker, this passes the initial test I look forward to going back and trying some other menu items.

The Orange Chicken was good. The Crab Rangoons were good, but they didn't include the dipping sauce, which seems like a basic thing to include, but things happen. I told the woman at the register that this was my first time there. She directed me to the take-out menus sitting on the counter. I placed my order, paid, and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. Something didn't sit right with me, so I looked at my receipt. I went back inside and compared it to the menu. Each item was $1 more than the price on the menu. I asked the same woman about the discrepancy and she said they "haven't made new menus yet." She then shrugged her shoulders and laughed. So apparently the new pricing is already in effect, but the old pricing is still being handed to customers, which is an interesting business model. I suggested that perhaps customers should be told the menus are outdated BEFORE placing their orders, or here's an idea, put up a little sign letting people know the prices have increased. Her response was that she was busy and they would get new menus made "at some point." I understand price increases, but what I don't understand is intentionally giving customers outdated menus, and charging them more, AND only explaining the price discrepancy IF they are asked about it. Meaning IF they are caught. Considering there are a quite a few 55+ senior communities in this area, this is especially concerning. Taking advantage of people, specifically seniors, is truly disgusting. Hunan City, you lost a first-time customer over a few dollars, not because prices went up, but because you apparently couldn't be bothered to tell your customers about it. There are other places nearby with better food, accurate menus, and a little thing called transparency. Hunan City, do better.
