The owner is a thief. I took my truck in cause my AC wasn't working and clearly specified to him that I had just done the service,that I needed him to find the problem. My truck was at the shop for a whole week every single day I would have to call him To see the status and every single day we would tell me a different issue. I got frustrated and ask him on the 5th day if he was gonna be able to fix my truck and he told me he didn't know what was wrong with it, but he still charge me $250 just for him to put Freon. read more

However, perhaps the most important factor is the ability for a mechanic to take on new jobs as many potentially new customers get on Yelp to find someone who can get the repairs done without having to bounce around from shop to shop. Unfortunately, Gary's Auto Electric was unable to take on new work and they were heavily inundated with other backed up work and the lack of experienced technicians. Gary did a wonderful job repairing the A/C. He checked and very meticulous in figuring out what is wrong with it. The job took longer than planned. Gary has been my families mechanic for many years because he will carefully diagnose your problem and will be honest about what you need and what you don't. Its been many years since I brought my car here because I moved to orange county. I know Gary personally. I was there with that customer who came in and requested to add refrigerant to the car because it came from a body shop that did some work. He was nice and ask politely. Gary added refrigerant to the vehicle then the Air Conditioner still did not work. His attitude changed and got mad after Gary told him that it had electrical problem. He is adamant that it is not the problem. So Gary asked for the charge for Air Conditioning. He refuse to pay after agreeing to pay for the service. He was strange man. What he has telling to Gary about the car's problem is untrue. Knowing Gary, he told him to leave the premises politely after recovering refrigerant. read more

Gary is an awesome mechanic. I regularly come to Gary for my oil change, which is cheap for synthetic, and he checks out other parts of my car to make sure nothing is about to break. During my last oil change he saw the screw for the oil pan was stripped and replaced it for 15 bucks. A lot better than having oil gushing from my car. Wow!! What a gem of a find! Gary, owner of Gary's Auto Electric, is awesome!! He is extremely honest, personable, fair, and conscientious of his work. Previous to taking my truck here, I took my 2015 GMC Yukon into the dealer for a regularly scheduled oil change and they called saying I was in desperate need of replacing the front and back brakes. They claimed my front brakes were metal to metal and it was dangerous to drive that way. They quoted me $925, so, of course, I did not authorize the repair. I asked around for a reliable and trustworthy auto mechanic and was referred to Gary's Auto Electric. I told Gary the findings by the dealer and their price quote. Upon inspection, Gary notified me that the back brakes were absolutely fine and the front were in fact not metal to metal; however, they could use changing since the pads were very low, but it was not an emergency situation as I was told. I authorized him to go ahead and change the front brakes, without even requesting a price quote. He had them done within a few hours and personally test drove my car before releasing it to me to ensure all was as it should be. The cost was a mere fraction of the price the dealer quoted me and extremely reasonable. He is thorough and prompt, and it's obvious he takes great pride in his work. Very nice owner, fair price. I went in for a service job on my AC. Everyone else was charging $20 higher. Went in not expecting much of customers service, as most mechanics aren't very friendly, but I was wrong. The owner was a nice gentlemen, who even had them top off my fluids, and check my oil. He even found that my AC valve was leaking a little, and fixed it, without adding it to my bill. Even said if we notice in a few weeks ac not blowing out cold. I found Gary through sheer luck about a year or so ago, I was having issues with my A/C went to dealer and they wanted to charge me over a $1000.00 for parts and labor. Found Gary he took a look and he was so kind that it was less then half then what the dealer wanted to charge. About a week or so ago was having issues with car again found out it was the transmission, it was still under warranty and Gary helped me out and talked to the dealer and helped me get it fixed.
