His office staff is caring, and gets you to where you need to be. It may take some time, but you will get there. All in all, he's a very kind, compassionate human who wants the best for his patients. He's a very nice person and the staff in his office are also pleasant. But from a quality of care perspective, you should find another primary care physician. I made my appointment as a new patient a year ago. As is the case with US healthcare, I had to wait months for my appointment. My initial appointment, even though I had health concerns, was mostly just a meet and greet and filling out paperwork, including records request for prior doctors and specialists. And that was it. Paid a copay, and they billed my insurance company. Second visit was 4 months or so later. This was to give Dr Carlson time to review prior records. When I showed up, again, no exam at all. Dr Carlson spoke briefly about the records he received and wanted to send me out for blood work, even though I had blood work already. Turns out they didn't receive records from everyone, including a specialist who had just done an extensive blood panel a month or so prior. So, Dr Carlson sent me on my way while they attempted to get that paperwork. Had me schedule another appt in 4 months. Copay and insurance billed again, for nothing. Fast forward to this past week and my last appointment. Dr Carlson spent most of the time talking about all of the data he received from the specialist. And while he did ask me if I had any health concerns, he told me my questions were good ones for the specialist and I should ask him. He also suggested getting another opinion on my issues. But that was it. Once again, no exam. However, this time he said he was going to bill this as my annual physical because then I won't have a copay. I don't know why I didn't say anything then and there. I should have. But that's 3 visits. 3 times billing my insurance company and two copays. And one of them billing as an annual physical without giving me any type of exam. What kind of doctor or medical practice is this? How do you have me come in 3 times without giving me any kind of exam? Apparently, they are just here to bill your insurance as much as possible. People come to primary care doctors specifically to help find any issues early, but you can't detect issues in advance of them becoming problems if you don't conduct basic health exams. Moreover, the visits he had me come for could have all been handled in advance of any visit. The office could have contacted me at any time before my first visit to have me fill out records releases. And if any records didn't show up timely, they could have contacted me to follow up with those other doctors. That would have eliminated the need for those first two visits. Instead, they were inefficient - presumably because they just wanted to needlessly and endlessly bill my insurance. Anyway, long story short, Dr Carlson is a nice man and maybe a good doctor, but the way this practice is run is horrible. It's clearly more about billing your insurance and collecting your copay than it is about your health. Don't waste a year of your life like I did. Go somewhere else for your PCP needs.

Tell me why she only refilled my Xanax after telling me she can't write it sent in a baby dose to try to wean me off of it did not refill any of my everyday meds. Was too busy and in a hurry about leaving at noon and then saying she needs to see me again within the week when her nurse said she has told her multiple times that her schedule is booked out for the month so to say less, I would not recommend this doctor

He reported I had high cholesterol scores which could lead to stroke heart attack, and he then proceeded to go over the 30 other blood test results and when I wanted to go back to the one that he flagged as a problem high cholesterol and he said oh, he already told me the score. Very dismissive. I tried writing down the scores he told me don't bother he would give me the sheet. He asked why I wasn't coming every six months and I said I wasn't aware there was a problem. I asked to see last year's score and they couldn't do that due to a computer glitch. He seemed annoyed that I wanted to ask questions I told him I didn't appreciate that and then he stated it seemed we're having problems communicating. At that point I just said we've always had this problem and then he just got up left room and terminated me as a patient. When I first started seeing him his niece would come into write notes on each visit. I recommend he go back to that.

My medical emergency at this clinic yesterday was conducted sloppily by the PA (Marisa) who barely…read morebrought herself to examining me and expedited a misdiagnosis arguing it was "just" cellulitis. I was then prescribed antibiotics that could only minimally help. What's more concerning is I directly informed Marisa that I had had the same type of issue in the past and believed it to be an abscess. I asked why she wasn't considering that diagnostic and she didn't seem to second guess herself. I was also refused pain killers which I requested. Upset with ever-increasing pain, I followed my intuition, went to a second urgent care clinic today, and luckily got the proper diagnostic and treatment this time. It so happens I actually had two developed abscesses in the same body area that needed to be drained.

Stay clear of this place. I went in on a Saturday due to a rash on my chest. They charged me 160.00…read morefor seeing me for three minutes. The so called nurse practitioner immediately diagnosed me with shingles and wrote a prescription for a shingles medication which I was on for three weeks. The rash got worse and spread all over my chest, back, neck and shoulders. I went to my primary care doctor he took one look at it and said it wasn't shingles and sent me to a dermatologist. She had to cut two pieces off my chest for a biopsy which came back a week later. If I could give them a zero star I would have. It wasn't shingles it was hives! Give me my 160.00 dollars back!

Got here in plenty of time for 0830 appointment to encounter a pleasant front desk staff. They took…read moremy paperwork and within five minutes I was taken back to be entered into their system. Pleasant lady (Karen?) asked me for the remainders of my medical history, etc. She made me feel quite at ease as we did all the preliminaries for a new patient. etc. So I was seated in exam room all ready to go by 0825; pretty quick for a specialist's office!!! Dr. Beljic entered the exam room very soon after that. He went over my family and personal medical history with me quite efficiently as he typed away. He seems to have a great "bedside manner," and was very thorough in explaining everything. Dr. Beljic is one of a few doctors at this practice, along with a couple of nurse practitioners. Soon after Dr. B finished with me, he sent me back to make sure I get scheduled for the procedure I need. That was quick since he downloaded all my info to the front desk at what seemed like lightning speed. I did this with Shannon, the scheduling coordinator. Yet another pleasant, efficient and caring soul! She was very good at explaining all of what I needed to do. She was very thorough in going over my particulars to ensure I was set up properly without any hiccups. Yet it was just a few short minutes and I was done! I walked out of the office and went on my way by 0855! Considering this was my first visit with an 0830 appointment time...holy cow! It helps that I downloaded all the forms I needed from their website and filled 'em out ahead of time. I'm also gonna guess that since I had an early appointment (they open at 0800) I was ahead of the curve too. Either way, I was very pleasantly surprised by how fantastic and efficiently this practice seems to run. Having GI issues can certainly be embarrassing (I know they ain't any fun), but these folks put me at ease in no time flat. If it's at all humanly possible to have a good doctor's office visit, then I surely had one. If you have a cranky colon, dismal duodenum, spasmodic small intestine or other such maladies, then I lucked out with the referral I received from my general practitioner (thanks Melissa)...BTW: make sure you have your referral squared away. Have your ID plus your insurance in order and with you too. They sent me a few emails and called me a couple days out with my reminders and so on. You're also encouraged to set yourself up electronically with "Healow," which is a medical app. I already have it through my general practitioner, but quite frankly it's one of the clunkiest sites I've ever had the occasion to encounter. Sometimes old school is better...in this case, at least, I certainly believe so!
