Went in today for extensive treatment due to letting things go for so long. I have to say, Rene is absolutely AMAZING! I was definitely afraid of what everything was going to cost, but she maximized every bit of my insurances to get the most treatment possible for the lowest cost to me. I cannot thank her enough for going above and beyond for me! Finance is often the scariest part of seeing a dentist, but her empathy and reassurance made the visit that much better. I had serious dental anxiety and avoided treatment for three years. I found Gateway Dental in October 2016 and have to have extensive treatment. I have had three procedures so far and have to have two more and then I'm done! The Drs. are wonderful. Dr. Samira is patient and skillful ... and the specialists are as well. I also have to say I definitely see a big difference with the level of patience and care from the female drs. over their male counterparts. Approximately 6mos. ago, I embarked on one of the most time consuming, financially costly journeys in my dental lifetime. I required periodontal surgery and opted for a decision to pull four of my teeth and replace them with a bridge. All the people at Gateway Dental, which started with Becky, the office manager, Dr. To, Dr. M, Carol, Monica, Hortencia and a few others made my journey more comfortable. They offered me information so that I could make more informed choices. Friendly, courteous and able to do the work that I required. A colleague recommended Gateway to me. I moved to the Inland Empire and was desperate to find a dentist because of an accident which may have resulted in a fractured tooth. Luckily they accept workman's comp and was patient with the paperwork issues that probably caused some messy scheduling for Dr. Montgomery. The staff and most importantly Dr. Montgomery were great. Dr. Montgomery was technically very competent and knowledgable. The office was surprisingly high tech, largely because Dr. Sood does orthodontics, who was very kind to drop in and give an opinion. Dr. Hussainy extracted all four of my wisdom teeth about a month ago and my recovery has been great! He was extremely professional and thorough with going over the procedure. Following all his instructions, I made a quick recovery with minimal swelling and getting back to eating most regular foods within a week. I had been trying to fix my front teeth for about 10 yrs now. I decided to try Gateway Dental Group. I had been so self contiguous and embarrassed with my front teeth due to one of them was discolored from a previous dental group that didn't catch a root canal needed in time. Every dental office I went to they said I needed an Implant. I made my appt being a new patient very hesitant but all the staff was friendly and helpful. I am so happy I tried Gateway and beyond thankful to Anna Lucas Dental Assistant and Dr. Khatib these two ladies have made my world turn around. Turns out just needed a crown which saved me lots of money. Anna made the temporary just like a real tooth, i was happy with the temporary already. I am so pleased with the out come of my new crown and how beautiful my front teeth look now. I am so confident now to smile and have received so many compliments on how great my teeth look. This place is a ripoff. Went here one time for cleaning and exam. Charged my insurance $500 for deep cleaning and checkup. Told I needed 3 cavities filled. Didn't even give me the option for normal cleaning. Had to pay $140 out of pocket. Went to another recommended dentist he said I only had 1 cavity and didn't charge me for checkup. The one cavity will cost $15 after insurance. Gateway said after the 3 I would owe $220 out of pocket w/insurance! read more

Just went for my first visit, and knew I needed some work, always a huge stressor, despite trying to save my teeth I'm just not one of the lucky ones. However, these folks are top notch and bend over backward to explain your options thoroughly, and they're just amazingly nice. The office itself seems to be outfitted with the latest technology, unlike my last dentist's practice, and is comfortable and attractive. I really like the dentist here. She keeps me very informed and always explains to me what is going to happen. I feel informed. On the other hand the front staff has been short with me in the past, I think it's because they are always busy when I come in (a good sign?). I try to ignore it because I really enjoy the dental service I get there. My teeth feel really clean! I think the front staff were fussed at because the last time I went the front service was much better. If they just do some changes in the front this place would be perfect. I recently got my insurance going again after three years of not having it, I called to Get an appointment was seen that same day! Had a few bumps in the road with insurance but the lady at the front desk got them all figured out! Went in the office that night! Super clean facility very nice and professional staff, great prices! I Currently have waited 1 hour and 55minutes for my daughter to be seen and still waiting. They gave us an appointment time to fix a previous mistake, but now say they are "fitting us in" so we have to wait (with no estimate of what to expect). The office manager just came in and basically was defensive and did not care how long we were waiting because the scheduled patients take priority. So disappointed that my time has been so disrespected and wasted! read more

This place is great! I'm not one to rave about dentists, but Dr. Montgomery is the best!! She immediately makes one feel calm and confident no matter what you are having done. My kids get excited every time they see that she will be working on their teeth. She's so patient and talks to them, not over them. You can tell that Dr. Montgomery cares about what she's doing. My daughter also really likes Jennifer, a dental assistant. She's encouraging and very gentle, which helps when a patient is worried about a filling or any other procedure. My hygienist, Gabby, is so wonderful too. She's friendly and not heavy handed. My teeth always feel nice and not sensitive after a cleaning. The office is clean and bright with a family friendly movie playing to entertain the kids. The staff all seem really nice and efficient, so we don't have to wait too long before we are seen. I had such a good experience with this office. As a new patient, I met with the orthodontist regarding a broken permanent retainer that was installed 8 years ago at an out of state location. He was helpful in removing the retainer and offering the alternative removable option. Not only was he extremely competent, but the all of the office staff were incredibly helpful, receptive, knowledgable and friendly. I just recently had an appointment at Gateway Dental, my experience was great! I was greeted kindly in a timely manner. Shortly after arrival,I was taken back by the dental assistant for my x-rays. This was a smooth process. After the x-rays I was sat in a room where I would meet the hygienist; she was extremely nice and made my teeth cleaning an enjoyable experience. Not one time did I feel pain or discomfort and she educated me throughout the process. During the cleaning the dentist came in and did a quick check. Gateway Dental is a great place if you have great dental insurance and extra money to spend on dental care, besides all of the other mandatory health care costs. My problem with this office is that they always offered you a Lexus as if that was the only option. Then once you gasped at the cost of a mandatory procedure, then they would give you other less expensive options. Although making it clear that you need to buy the Lexus if you really care about your dental care and the dental care of your children. Being a single mother with very limited funds I felt this type of high pressure sales in a dental office was of poor taste. I had to repeatedly tell them that I can only afford what my insurance covers. I left the office feeling like I short changed my daughter because I could not afford the white fillings at $170.00 a piece for fillings for a couple molars. My insurance covered the silver ones at no charge. The staff was very friendly and seem to be very concerned with my individual dental needs, but gave me the impression that everyone was working on commission. This is also a very modern dental office which you can view your records on line which I found helpful. I'm probably going to try to find a new dentist that can understand that we all want the best for our kids but sometimes we have to choose between a roof over our heads or white molar fillings. I have gone to this dentist 4 times and had the same experience each time. read more

I had a root canal done last Saturday and I was in and out with in an hour! And since they are open on Saturdays I didn't have to miss any work.
