Dr Sam Kolinski is the best dentist! She's gentle and conservative and I always feel like the work she's doing is necessary. She takes time to explain her findings and treatment plan. I love the whole staff from the front desk, to the assistant and the the hygienist. I don't live nearby but drive out of my way because I implicitly trust Dr Kokinski's judgement as a dentist. Bonus, her office is pleasant and she's got wonderful bedside manor, a rare find in a medical professional. I've been a patient of hers for 9 years now. I highly recommend! read more

Although Dr. Kalinski, the other provider practicing at her office, and the office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable- there seems to be a consistent issue with either double/triple booking or underestimating appropriate appointment times. My first appointment as a new client went great! My second appointment a few weeks later, I waited for roughly 45 minutes in the lobby for my scheduled filling, and then another 25 minutes after being prepped with the topical numbing treatment. I had offered twice during that visit to reschedule out of concern my own appointment time would be rushed, but was assured it wouldn't be and that I was next. I had to return for another appointment a few days later because my fillings needed further polishing because they were left very rough and it was also found that I had an additional filling that had been missed and needed to be addressed at that time. My latest appointment was my 6 month cleaning. There was another girl in the front lobby who the front desk kept apologizing to because they were so far behind. The girl also offered to reschedule but they kept quoting her 5 more minutes. I was called back at that time (only 10 minutes past my appointment time), and the hygienist did a great job with the clean. When it was time to be seeing by a provider I was told they were running behind and it would be 5-10 minutes. After that time was up, the hygienist apologized and said that I would not be able to be seen at all by a provider because of time issues and that they would see me in 6 months. Again, Dr. Kalinski, the other provider there and the hygienists are so nice and knowledgeable and they're the reason I have gone back for appointments. It is possible that the times I have been in their office and experienced delays and what felt like rushed appointments have been flukes, but it seems to be consistent. I'm hesitant to recommend them to family and friends because of their appointment timing issues and hope they can resolved this issue. read more

I saw this dentist one time and they messed up a molar filling twice. After the first repair I found a new dentist, and when he did my x-rays as a new patient he showed me that there was still decay and we fixed it again. This was a long time ago but I decided to finally write a Yelp review because despite never contacting them in the past 10 years, and never agreeing to text messaging, they just spammed me. While this is not my dentist office-they have called me twice in the same day looking for someone else. When I called back the office person used foul language and accused me of lying as to how many times they misdialed-well news flash: most phones show the number of calls and all of the information associated with the number. I have record that it was more than once and I asked them not to call anymore because the person they are looking for is not and never has been associated with my number! This was the worst office I have ever been to. Dr.Kolinski didn't fill my prescription in so when I called the next day to find out where it was they told me they sent it in. I called three cvs to have them tell me no one called and my profile is blank. Called back to the dentist she told me if I don't believe her to find a new dentist and they'll send the medication in now. They never sent the medication on the day she said, the cvs people never got a phone call from her. She was extremely rude I canceled my appointments I would never let someone like that work on me. This office was extremely rude, since I was in pain and had no medication that they never sent in. They could have apologized for their mishap but instead they treated me with absolute disrespect. I went to Dr Sam on referral... Upon arrival, I was told that: xrays could be completed, but not a cleaning (which is what I was there for)... When I was going to leave, the hygienist states that she would work in a cleaning. In hindsight, I wish I would have left... The cleaning was simply abusive... now Im told that i 3 cavities & 3 cracked fillings Second opinion from stated the alleged cavities would have to be created to be legitimate to be filled... and that the crack in the fillings didnt exist... Switching jobs led my 2 kids and I to use the insurance benifits I had before I switched companies. Being new to the area. I went on a client of mine referal. I had Kimberlie for x-rays and a deep cleaning my kids both had Kimberlie for cleanings as well My 6 and 11year old both left NOT being afraid of the dentist anymore. "I liked that dentist" my 6 year old daughter said. Which says a lot. I'm 32 and I would rather be in jail than in the dentist chair!!! Kim made everything comfortable! New patient from SLC. Great experience here from the beginning to the end! I went in for a cleaning/ check up; I had the pleasure of having Veronica work on my teeth who was very considerate, had gentle hands as she worked, and explained/ taught me what she was doing the entire time. Nancy at the front was one of the nicest people I know, made me feel welcome and explained options for additional appointments/ treatments with helpful advice. The dentist (The husband who is there on Fridays) explained things well and enjoyed explaining my questions. I would recommend this outstanding team. I loved that they had sunglasses so their overhead light didn't blind my eyes the whole time! My only recommendation is to instal overhead TVs for procedures. I only gave a 4 star because my heart still belongs to Dr. Wells in Utah. ;) read more

I have been going to Gateway Dentistry for some time now. The staff, hygienists and dentists Dr. David & Samantha Kolinski have always been very nice and professional. They always listen to my concerns and do a thorough job. I have never had to wait long for my appointment and the dental hygienists are always ready for me when I arrive. Dr. David Kolinski pulled one of my wisdom teeth and asked him when the tooth will be pulled. He said that the tooth was already out. I didn't experience any pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. If you need a tooth pulled, he's your man. I also have had a few cavities that Dr. Samantha Kolinski took care of. I again didn't really feel any discomfort during or after the procedure. The only thing I felt in both procedures was the shot which was not that bad. I always feel very satisfied with my visit and would highly recommend Gateway Dentistry to anybody searching or wanting to change dentists. There's a lot of dentists out there, but I would never consider changing dentists for a minute. read more

If I could rate this as a negative 5 review I certainly would! After being a patient at this dentist for over 8 years attending every 3 months for cleanings, many fillings crowns and root canals Dr. Dave felt it was time to stick it to me with not honoring a tooth implant procedure that I had in writing of the patient portion cost. After agreeing to the price the process started and the tooth was pulled and needed several months to heal before the next step, during which now the Dr. claims the process and cost have changed and would cost a lot more money after debating the written patient portion and signed by the dentist employee who handled the billing he refused to honor it saying his employee was no longer with the dentist and he claims he now never agreed to the price so not his problem even though it's signed. After an argument of him telling me he doesn't care what's in writing he's not honoring the cost and now am left with no tooth implant and they still have several hundred dollars of credit I'm now not getting on this procedure. This Dr. is a crook, is unethical and extremely unprofessional I would stay as far away from this business as possible!! read more

Their staffs such as receptionists and hygienists are awesome and friendly, but their dentists seriously lack people skills. The first dentist talked down to me like I was a child, when I am a 28 year old mother of 2. I gave him a pass, as I do look young; maybe he thought I was 18. I had to come back 2 additional times to have them attempt to fix the constant ache in my tooth, on my third trip back the other dentist re-filled it. She also was rude, complaining she is "too old to deal with people who are afraid of needles" Sigh... making your patients feel like crap is not professional. Needless to say my tooth continued to ache, but I didn't like how I was treated, so I decided to just deal with it. I am happy to report I have found a new dentist who is nice and doesn't treat me poorly. read more

Last year Dr Dave extracted one of my wisdom teeth. The procedure was quick, and as painless as such a thing can be. Dr Dave had that tooth out in 2 wiggles. It was a great experience. They gave me the name of another doctor who specializes in sedation dentistry to remove the others but I have no interest in being sedated and the Dr had said he could get the other 3 but I may be more comfortable sedated. I disagree. Today I called to have the same simple tooth extraction done. They rudely told me that they had reffered me else where and did not make the appointment. Now best case scenario I have to wait until the 4th just to have another bloody consult and probably a week longer to have anything actually done. I'm in pain now, it would take them maybe an hour from start to finish to fix my problem but they'd rather try and send me down the road for a much more expensive procedure that I don't need. Very unhelpful, very rude, completely lacking in compassion. Just lost a patient and they won't be getting their finders fee for sending me else where because I will not be seeing the oral surgeon they recommended either. read more
