Terry was quick and efficient with the CT scan and he was very nice. The actual scan took about 2 minutes and then I was on my way. Once I got there and filled out all the paperwork, I only waited about 8 minutes before being called back and I could see there were 2 people ahead of me. I found out by reading a cold, clinical report in an EMAIL, on my own. Alone. I was also charged $119 for a heart screening called mammo+heart. The results--showing arterial calcifications--were also sent to me in an email with circles on an image showing areas for concern, and still no one called to tell me what it meant OR what to do next. They still haven't. When I showed up today for my scheduled ultrasound, I wasn't even on the books. I was told I owed $428 upfront, and when I asked for help, I was told no one with authority was available. I am a nurse who works in an emergency veterinary ICU. When a patient has a serious finding in a radiograph, ultrasound or specialized test, we call the owner right away!! We explain what it means. We give options. Because EVERY animal deserves dignity and clarity. So why is it that women facing a possible cancer diagnosis are met with silence, disorganization, and complete emotional neglect? This is not just bad service--it's inhumane and unacceptable! To the staff and leadership at Solis: You are dealing with women who are afraid. Who are waiting on life-altering news. This is not the time to go silent. Pick up the phone. Explain the findings. Show empathy. Be better. DO BETTER. To the women reading this: Please know you deserve a facility that will treat you with urgency, clarity, and care. If your experience here mirrors mine, I hope you speak up too. I was terrified, had never seen a doctor, and did not know what to expect. I was an anxious, confused mess. That all I changed when I arrived at my appointment. Makeba has this calming aura around her and she genuinely cares about people, there's no question. The moment she placed the probe on my belly and my baby appeared on that giant screen, I fell in love. I kept asking stupid questions "Are they okay? Are they happy?" while choking back tears and she patiently reassured me of my fluid levels, taking measurements, etc. She didn't need to go above and beyond, but she did because of her caring nature. I went for my second visit at 26w with my SO. We legit drove all the way from Waxahachie, passing MANY ultrasound clinics we could have went to just to go to this one. The machines are far better than other places, and for the lowest price you can find. Seriously, these machines are like the Teslas of ultrasounds. Makeba was incredibly kind and wonderful, that's no surprise. She is seriously talented with that probe. She showed me baby's feet and said "oh look she's kicking!" and I immediately felt kicks. Later that day, I got a notification to my phone and there was a 26 photo album of 4d photos, along with a video of my baby smiling and opening her mouth/eyes. I paid for 4 photos in b&w, you did not need to do all that Makeba you are too kind! I watch that video every single day and smile. My father had heart surgery the day before, and he said that sweet video almost had them wheeling him back in the operating room! lol I'd vote for Makeba for president, just saying.
