Friendly staff, clean facility, but bring a wheelbarrow full of money!! Since I haven't met my deductible for the year, they charged me $889 on the day of the procedure. Then unexpectedly, I received another bill for $660. When I inquired, I was told that the first amount was for the CT scan, then the second was for the contrast. These people should be armed and wearing ski masks as far as I'm concerned. I wish I would have done my research beforehand, but found a website: MDsave.com, could have had the whole procedure done for $310 close by. read more

Had a fine experience, first time to this location, only second time to Gateway. The other place I usually get imaging done does not offer contrast, and their MRI headphones never work. The front desk people were very nice. I met my deductible in February but it wasn't showing up in whatever system they use to view insurance so they let me send them a screenshot of my insurance app showing deductible met. There was no wait to go back. They did the contrast pretty quick (ouch), and then on to the MRI. I'm extremely claustrophobic, so I have to go in with a towel over my face. They were very nice about it. The machine gets very hot so after it started to burn my arm a little, they put a rubber barrier between my arm and the shell. Very accommodating, very sweet about it. I wish I knew her name. Shout out to the lady running MRI's on 5/22/25 in the morning. After the imaging was complete, I requested a disc of the results. Went down the street for lunch and when I returned, the disc was ready. Would definitely come back for MRI's. read more

Terrible experience with north Richland hills location .I had an MRI in March , I asked them to use the insurance that does not have any deductible but they mentioned ( discussion happened multiple times) that the insurance on file covers 100% , and 1 month later they sent me 153 dollar bill ( patient portion). Not sure how lazy or bad the team can be to make such mistakes . They really don't care as long as they get their money( patient have to suffer for their laziness/ lack of knowledge). Had a great experience every time I have been there since I have to go frequently because of lung fibrosis

I went there to get a ultrasound on 11/5/25 for a growth on my neck and the person put me in a very uncomfortable bed and I told her how uncomfortable it was, and she said, OK, but did nothing about it and then did an ultrasound on my thyroid. There is nothing wrong with my thyroid and my doctors' instructions did not say check Thyroid. I could barely walk after I got off the bed. After my report, my Doctor was upset and I called and complained to the Manager, Ms Aisha at the location on Hwy 26 in NRH and all she said was, you can come back and do this again and I said No, I will never come back there, even though it is convenient and close. She also stated she would get insurance to write off the cost of the ultrasound that they did on my neck. That never happened. I called back to complain spoke to rep who said she would contact the proper people and they would call me after Christmas holiday. No one called or left a message for me. They are still sending bills. I have experienced issues with this business in the past, due to lack of customer service to patient. The people in the front are nice, but the people performing the tests are not nice and very impatient. They never smile, so I suspect it has a lot to do with management. If you can avoid this facility- I recommend you do. My husband has been getting the run around non-stop with this facility. Initially, they kept delaying getting him scheduled for the appt even though it was approved through our insurance with one excuse after another. Then when he finally received his MRI they still haven't sent the results/images to his physician. My husband then went to the facility, requested a copy of the images on a cd; and the cd won't open. He then had to go back and get another cd and when he asked them to verify that it will open for his physician he was told "Well your doctor has to have a certain program". If they won't email the images, they still haven't faxed them to the doctor and there's a possibility the cd won't open for the physician- How will the images be viewed? I have never encountered a medical office that makes things this complicated. Avoid coming here if you can. read more

Upon arrival the receptionist opened her glass window with a scowl on her face. It reminded me of the DMV. License and insurance card...you owe bla bla bla. My response- no mame, we have met our yearly out of pocket maximum. She quickly told me if she didn't collect the "false" amount then no service. After explaining it a little slower to her....in a very "threatening voice" she said I will have to speak to my MANAGER. Ok...better get busy....i had to sign something in order to get service. Spot scheduled for 945. I arrived at 930. I called to let them know I was waiting in my car. The person on the other end laughed, told me to just come with a mask. No temp check. Lots of people in waiting area and lots of papers to fill out that should be online. I filled out papers, told front desk to call me when ready and sat in car. I called at 1010 to see if they were ready. Yes! I'm about to get a scan & the tech asks me if my bladder is full. Um, no. Nobody told me. I hadn't eaten since the afternoon before. Very good experience with this office today. I needed an ultrasound, and was able to get an appointment the next day. Very friendly front desk staff. The service with the radiologists was actually great nut my issue is with billing! They told me after they verified my insurance that I would be 0.00 out of pocket. I told them I was sure it was wrong as I have a deductible. They assured me that they confirmed. I scheduled and came to the appointment. The same cost was reiterated. Now I have been battling over a bill over $300! It's their job to confirm insurance. I did my part; you do yours. read more

Got a CT scan and had unacceptable wait time both before and after the procedure. The customer service was poor as well. Not the mention the billing! Twice as much as anywhere else I've gone and when I called for assistance, I was treated with more dismissal and disrespect. So very disappointed in this place. Had an MRI, the staff was helpful and as quick as could be expected. The MRI was an interesting experience, and while I don't consider myself claustophobic, it helped to make a point to distract myself with imagining I was in a large space. My appointment was at 3:30pm and was told to come in at 3:15. I arrived at 3:05. There were other patients that arrived after me. One patient I overheard her appointment is at 3:45 and guess what, she was called in at 3:44. I said ok, ill wait maybe I'll be next....Nope! They called another patient. It is now 4pm and I still haven't been called. Someone came out and told me that I have to wait another 20 mins because there's a patient that they squeezed in. Just great. I totally hate coming here but it's closest to my office and my doctor recommends them. I thought I'd give them a 2nd chance. 2 yrs ago, they overcharged me and I waited 11 weeks to get a refund...after threatening legal action. This go round, they were SO insistent that I arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment time or my appointment would've canceled. I did and have waited 50 minutes beyond my appointment time. Treated horribly and abusively by ONE female staff member. I am not comfortable going to this facility again with her working there! I reported the nasty things she did to her manager and was assured the employee would get a write-up on her record of how awful I was treated. ***Follow-up: I was contacted by one of the owners who again apologized for this ONE person's conduct. They are taking action to correct her behavior and assured me this type of behavior from this ONE person will never happen again. Knee MRIs. Staff is lovely. The MRI on the second kneed had to be done twice due to equipment problems. I was given an estimated amount which I paid. A few weeks later I received a bill for the amount I paid plus another thirty-two dollars. I ended up paying DOUBLE the estimate. In the past, the estimates were spot on. MRI @ Hurst, 09/10/19, of the thoracic, had to ask for foam ear plugs, then assistant was ready, I asked for head ear coverings, then would not fit with the plastic to hold my head in place. I said my ears are not covered for noise protection. " make do, we have to have your head straight " . The assistant was not warm, friendly to make patients comfortable. When ready to leave I asked for a CD with my info which patients are entitled. surprised I would ask. I received after waiting. Horrible business. Went there for an ultrasound, they charged me like 230$ . I asked if that was with my insurance and they told me yes, so I paid them. Come to find out later on that my insurance ALSO paid them ( the FULL amount) and I was never supposed to have paid anything that day. It's been 3 months and I still haven't gotten my money back. Good location near shopping allows you to show up as a walk in, sign a few docs and go somewhere nearby to keep yourself busy if they can't take you immediately. I got the impression that they prefer you walk in vs making an appointment, that part was confusing. Staff was very friendly and the radiologist was friendly and efficient. They have Saturday hours which is a plus. I would recommend them for sure. read more

Took my mom to Gateway over Christmas break to have an MRI over the Holiday Break. They were friendly, quick, and very patient with her. This was her second MRI in a year with major back problems getting on and off the table can be painful and overwhelming they did a great job of helping her and moving very quickly to get her out of the there very fast. They are also very forward with technology mom's doctor would get the results of the MRI sent to his ipad within 24 hours and then a detailed report in less than a week. I have been to Gateway Diagnostic Imaging multiple times over the past five years. I am not sure all the imaging products they offer but I know the MRIs that I have done here and at the downtown location have been top notch. The staff there are caring and are trying to see as many patients as they can since their services are in high demand. They do take their time with you and work with you. Yes, nobody likes to stop their daily lives and have a medical procedure or test done. Try and remember that when you are considering your review of a medical institution. Most of these reviews seem to have their blame in the wrong place. Keep this in mind when you are selecting an imaging provider. read more

The day I came to this place, they had very kind and helpful staff. Waiting area is very small and its hilarious when people always open or push the wrong door walking in or out. My only complaint is that they have the coffee flavors in their offices and they are no where to be found near the coffee machine. Wish they had a public bathroom too. read more

I went to the Plano location of Gateway Diagnostic today for a CT scan. They did not check temperatures, patients in the lobby were not 6' apart and they required you to fill out lots of paperwork (not an option for online). I went to the hall to complete the paperwork as there were already too many people in the office, as I watched more patients file into the small lobby. I left as I did not at all feel comfortable with their procedures, especially being a medical facility. There is no reason to have that many people in a confined area when Covid is at the highest daily rates ever in Collin County. You should be able to sit in your car or be outside until your turn and have paperwork completed online. (Even vets do that for your pets!) read more

I have been to Gateway on several occasions and have found them very professional and a great service for less money. My only complaint comes from their billing department. I have been turned over to a debt collector twice even though I paid Gateway directly but apparently my payment was not applied to my account. Once was on the appointment day when I paid and the other was from a year earlier when I paid my balance by mail. I'm now trying to clear my name with the debt collector and my credit report has been dinged. Just make sure you keep your receipts and that your account is updated with your payments! My Dr sent me to this office for some mri's the front desk was prompt and we only waited 25mins if that in the waiting room before being called for my scanning. Schon was my tech for the mri's that I had and although they were many he made sure that I was comfortable during the process. He worked very well with me making sure that I knew what to expect and what was going to take place.
