Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Upscale but down to earth hard working men eating their lunch while on break. The restaurant was inviting, comfortable and friendly. The presentation of the food was lovely. Both woman I dined with were pleased with their food. I however was disappointed with the lack of flavor with my chicken pita. My first time here and it was an interesting experience. The atmosphere is part sports bar, part high-end restaurant. I was surprised to see the booth seats were all cracked and peeling. I was grateful to be in sturdy jeans rather than linen pants or a delicate skirt that could have been snagged on the broken fabric. Eddie, our server, was friendly and offered recommendations when we couldn't decide. Sadly, he was the only server working on a Sunday night and while the restaurant wasn't packed, it was busy enough that we waited longer than we should have for our food and our payment to be processed. I ordered the truffle fries which was the best decision of the evening. The malt vinegar aioli was an interesting accompaniment. I also ordered the gouda bacon burger. The brioche bun was fluffy and buttery, the burger (which I was not asked my cooking preference, med, well, etc) had a crispy char on the outside and was nicely pink throughout. I specifically asked for no chips, because if I was eating truffle fries, I was not eating homemade chips and I didn't want them going to waste. I did get 3 pickle spears instead, so the rest of the plate didn't look bare. My friend ordered the Walnut Brussel Sprouts and Pumpkin Risotto. The sprouts were undercooked and the risotto was cold and overcooked. The food options were pleasantly varied and I would have loved the opportunity to try dessert (I love creme brulée) but perhaps going another day when there are more staff. Once she got there and we placed our drink order we asked to order our food as well. We had tickets for Shea's at 7:30. Our food was good. I had the Pasta Armando with chicken. The pasta was very good but the chicken was burnt. My friend had the chicken bomber and she said that was good as well. The service was very slow, especially when we told our waitress we had tickets for a show. Other customers who came in after us were served long before we were. There is a nice atmosphere at this restaurant with a great upstairs area... no elevator, though They have a full bar and many wines... no free refills on soda pop... one glass of soda is $3.95 We ordered lots of different items and it took a looong time for our party of five to get out food...40 minutes after we ordered... Here's the life down on the food... menu is totally a la carte... sides are a minimum of $5.00 The food was very tasty! Everybody enjoyed their meal and had enough to take some home... the Delaware Cajun wings were good, not overly hot, and not very saucy... the Monte Cristo was a generous sized Faneuil and tasted just as y you would expect slightly sweet and dairy... the burgers were cooked just as ordered one pink, the other well dine and were juicy and flavorful... the side of Mashed potatoes was good, but the real show stopper at our table was the caramel set cries.... set patio waffle fries with a little dish of caramel sauce... yummmerific!!! The atmosphere is one of the nicer, trendier ones we've been at within Kenmore. It's well lit outside with patio and has a parking lot. Interior has a large centered bar surrounded by a nice mix of tables and high backed fancier booths. There were a couple small private areas and an upstairs floor. Should have come on a Saturday or Monday for karaoke or live music. We started with tot poutine and deep fried asparagus for appetizers. While the tots were delicious, we all wished they were crispier as they all fell apart when you tried to eat them with your fork. The asparagus was a unique option and came with a couple dipping sauces. For the main course we went with an asiago Ceasar salad, Nashville Chicken Sandwich, Meatloaf wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes and snap peas, Mac & Cheese, a side of parm risotto, and a side of spaetzle (which was a special tonight). The salad was loaded with cheese and dressing with large crunchy croutons. Mac and Cheese was way too rich as a single meal....glad we did family style. Parm risotto was a favorite. I grew up in this neighborhood as a child, this restaurant used to be a carvel ice cream shop which kinda brought me back. We were looking for somewhere to have a drink and some app's. We entered the bar area to be greeted very cheerfully by Jamie our bartender. What an amazing personality, she was helpful with every question we had. We had a couple of Mules and some pretzel bites. My friend and I came here just to check out a spot we have not been to, and this place did not disappoint! We walked into live music. He was playing some good tunes, so we decided to sit at the bar. Jaimie was our bartender, and she was AWESOME!!! We started with the banana pepper dip and a French onion soup. The banana pepper dip had a good flavor but wasn't super spicy. The French onion soup was piping hot and had great flavor. For our meal, I got the pork chop, which came with mashed potatoes and snap peas (seasonal veggie). My friend got the garlic steak tips, which came over a bead of noodles, some spinach and cream sauce. I highly recommend asking what comes with the entree as the menu does not fully disclose everything. The pork chop was awesome. Great flavor, very juicy, didn't need a steak knife to cut it. The glaze flavored the mashed potatoes perfectly. The snap peas were well made. The garlic steak tips are very garlicky. Jaimie did tell us you have to love garlic to get this, and she was right. Overall, we enjoyed every bit of our food. We didn't have any room for dessert, but Jaimie made us a lovely espresso martini to end our experience. I'm not a vodka person, so she made mine with tequila, and it was THE BEST MARTINI I HAVE EVER HAD! Great restaurant, great service, chill vibe, very casual. Tonight was my first time back at a The Delaware in maybe a year. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but sadly I was left very disappointed this time around. We came for dinner on a Saturday and were promptly seated in the patio. My husband and I started off with the asparagus fries which were always our favorite, veal meatballs and French onion soup. The French onion soup was insanely salty and the asparagus fries had way too much batter, although the dipping sauces were tasty. The veal meatballs were okay, nothing too special. My husband got a cocktail and I a simple pop which was flat. For my entree I got the turkey melt. Their turkey sandwich used to be my go to, but the turkey melt was just awful. The bread was burned, and for some reason the turkey itself was grilled? It was so odd. Sadly this was a simple sandwich for $16. The dish also came with a side of pasta salad although this wasn't mentioned on the menu nor was I offered another option by the server so I didn't end up eating it. I really miss the house made chips and dip which I always used to pair with my entree but I didn't see it on the menu anymore. The fact that it came with a mass-produced tasting pasta salad was so disappointing. Unfortunately every dish and even the pop was a disappointment and not like The Delaware I remember. After all of these years of driving by I finally stopped for dinner. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very attentive. I wasn't looking for anything heavy and decided to go with the chicken wings which turned out to be cooked just right. The flavor was excellent and the texture was great. My test of a restaurant is if they can make an old drink called a sidecar. They were right on the money and I didn't have to explain how to make it. I came here with a friend recently and we had a good time. I arrived a little bit before her and was sat immediately. For my drink, I ordered sangria, which came in a delightful mason jar. Unfortunately, it was super pulpy and I was unable to get much liquid out of the straw. I asked our waiter if I could get something else, but he was actually able to fix the issue by remaking my drink with no pulp at all. I was glad to be able to enjoy my sangria. I was delighted to see that they had rice bowls. Being a gluten free individual, I'm always happy to see that sort of thing on a menu outside of an Asian fusion restaurant. You got to choose your protein and a sauce. I ended up going for a bacon sauce with steak because, if I'm remembering this correctly, it was the same price as the chicken. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication and my meal came with chicken instead. I told the waiter, who had heard me say chicken, and he immediately got my new entree started in the kitchen. It didn't take too long before I had food in front of me again, and it was soooo good. My friend loved what she got too, so I was pretty happy. It was mostly a healthy meal too, apart from the sauce. The waiter even said he gave me the price for the chicken at the end of the meal. I know it cost the same, but he didn't, so it was still nice of him. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that the prices are high. It was $60 for two people without tip. I know we ordered alcohol, but wow. I do suggest it here for special occasions, but maybe not for girls night in the future. read more

Second time here and it was excellent! Fantastic service by our server Christine and delicious food. We were celebrating our birthdays (hubby and I share same bday week) and we will be back again. The wings are the best I've had in forever!!! So good. Hands down better than any of the usual wing places in this area. And, that's saying something for sure being in Buffalo New York. The fried calamari, again, the absolute best I've had anywhere in this area and serving it with the tomato cream sauce was absolutely perfect. Steak was cooked perfectly and the meatloaf so tender and not dry at all - it was wrapped in bacon - YUM. The pork was good but not great. Was slightly overdone but still tasty. My brother had the peanut butter bread pudding for dessert and it was lacking a strong peanut butter taste - he would have like more of that flavor. I'll be back for sure - this is a great spot and they were able to seat us in an off the beaten path area for my Dad who's hard of hearing. The interior is cozy and the bar area has a TV for sports. I will start out by saying I have been here several times but more frequently in the past 2 weeks. The deviled eggs are a total must. It tastes like my homemade ones. 4 per order. I would not plate them on the sprouts, as that is not appealing. Try lettuce instead. Next, my smoke wedge salad. It is delicious and everything a wedge salad should be. My sister ordered the apple gorgonzola flat bread. It was supposed to have caramelized onions. They were literally raw. The Flatbread was also burnt along the edges. Service: I have to say it is subpar. The last 2 times, I had the same server. She NEVER asked how our food was (usually a few minutes after you are served-waitressing 101) or if we needed anything. We have been here a couple times and it's been great. The Sunday brunch buffet (now a thing of the past because of the pandemic) was always nice and the Bloody Mary is tasty enough. So when I was considering places to gather a few friends for a birthday brunch I decided to go back. The food was good (the Nutella and banana stuffed cornflake crusted French toast is quite something if you're looking for a carb-coma sugar high) but the options are limited and they were out of a couple things. Also if you want just a regular breakfast you have to order that stuff ala carte. So a couple of eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast will set you back $12 and change. In all the times I've come here, how have I never had a grain bowl before my most recent visit? It's going to be my go-to from now on! Not some dainty health-food dish, this is a delicious, filling healthy dish. I had salmon over farro with the parsley pesto sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Also, I don't think it's mentioned that the dish is also topped with julienned vegetables. There are lots of other delicious food options too, as well as a large dessert menu. My group ordered 4 desserts and split them so no-one had to choose which to eat. The first few times I visited The Delaware was at happy hour. They have a nice happy hour and a fun drink menu. The front porch is great in the summer and I think there is a fire pit for cooler weather. Live music happens on Saturdays and Mondays. There's also a second floor dining space that can be reserved for private events. Because of Covid, my group of 6 reserved the small semi-private space off to the side of the main dining area. It was perfect for us, so that we felt we had space to relax and enjoy our meal separate from the other guests. read more

The ambiance is chill- loft style with a rustic touch. The waitress was very dry, unfriendly, and borderline rude. We didn't see her smile at all. When we would ask for something she would reply "what?" Which is rude. Calamari was on Yelp in their menu photos- but when we got here they stated it was a special and they didn't have it. It was my friends birthday and she wanted to go somewhere with calamari on the menu. I will say The french onion soup was BOMB. If i could rate that alone- 10/10... but the gingerale was off brand and you can tell it tasted way off. The burger was ehhh and the wedge salad was a 1/5.
