We tried the LALA (strawberry + banana) and the Zinging Apple (cucumber, apple, pineapple, ginger, and beet)--both were super fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You can really taste the quality of the fruit, and the atmosphere is cute and welcoming. Service took a minute, but honestly, when everything is made fresh, it's totally worth the wait. Cute little mom& pop smoothie shop in Poway! Was craving a smoothie & didn't want to support a big corporate chain like Jamba Juice so I was lucky to stumble upon this place! Located a bit deeper in Poway but worth it. They have a bunch of different smoothie options both more on the fruity/green side to the more decadent, creamy side. My family and I have tried a bunch of items from this place from smoothies, shakes, kids meals, dip n dots, toast, acai bowls and enjoyed them all. This family owned business is great. They are extra friendly when my kids come. There are a few tables inside and a kids area. It's a nice place to hang out. My favorite smoothie is the green smoothie: it has spinach, celery, cucumber, apple, banana and kale. It's a nice way to get more vegetables in. My favorite toast is the Nutella Nova: it has nitella, strawberry, blueberry, almond, walnut, and shredded cocunut. Nice pick ne upper . I usually like to order a milkshake or a blendded coffee to go along with this. It's between the blended Vanilla Latte or Caramel Latte mixed in with cookies. I ask for it to be thick and the cookies to be out in more towards the end. For the milkshake I ask a special request for Cookies and Cream and make it Matcha. Service has always been great! I've been on the lookout for acai bowls recently! This acai bowl is $11, and comes with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, almond, peanut butter, walnut, coconut, and organic blue agave. The portion size is pretty good for $11. Something that makes this acai bowl stand out is that they have a layer of granola at the bottom, middle, and at the top. Sometimes when I'm eating acai bowls, I run out of toppings before I get near the bottom, so I appreciate how they've layered it so thoughtfully. The owner was very sweet, and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. He also spontaneously gave us samples of the acai smoothie. I like how there's a kids' area where kids can sit and color. They also sell some chocolate, jams, and spreads from Hanna's Creamery and Cafe. Got the Defense Up smoothie, and the young man made it fresh with real fruit. It tasted so good -- not too sweet at all. The pineapple was super refreshing and smelled amazing. I came here at 11:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The shop was completely empty. 0 customers. I ordered a mango bowl with no strawberries and coconut, due to an allergy. I got my order and brought it home and it had both strawberries and coconuts, so they didn't even listen to my order change what-so-ever. I wanted a little something healthy so I stopped by this place after my Costco run. I ordered the pitaya bowl and a lala smoothie. The shop was very clean. It was also very empty. I was the only customer there and they still messed up my order. Well, more like they made the smoothie but completely forgot about the pitaya bowl. I had to show my receipt as proof that I paid for 2 items. A little more of the good old friendly customer service would've been nice...I ended up having to wait a total of 20 minutes to get my full order. What I liked about this place was how they used fresh ingredients to make the smoothie, but I felt they were a bit over priced. The pitaya bowl was good, but for $10, I was a bit disappointed how my bowl had a lot of empty gaps. It would have been nice if they had pressed the frozen pitaya so I could get a little more for my money. They were also limited on toppings, so I actually took mine home and added more toppings. This is the newer of the two Pina Smoothies shops in Poway. They are in a suite next to Dollar Tree that is not highly visible in the Poway Crossings shopping mall. The inside had a cute decor that gave off a tropical, fresh market vibe. I was their only customer when I visited near the end of business hours for that day. Smoothies, fresh juices, acai bowls, ice cream, and milk shakes were the menu offerings. The featured smoothies were available in three sizes at 20, 24, and 32 oz for 7, 8, and 9 dollars respectively. I chose the first one on that list which was the Acai variety. Acai organic juice was blended with orange, mango, and blueberry. The deep purple mix was fresh and fruity although the orange and mango flavors were obscured by the acai and blueberry. Pina Smoothies is a nice spot if you want to get a healthy refreshment after exercising or hiking in the area. read more
