Awesome time!! The staff were all so very nice and accommodating. They kept calm and were very organized during the chaos of several parties. We had a kids party but the adults played too and we had a blast. They have lots of tables perfectly spaced for parties. Space was plenty. The info video was short and informative. The trash cans were constantly being emptied. They have two battlefields and several games to play. Breaks as needed. We brought all our own food and drinks. Me(far left), my boyfriend(beside me), and the guys had my birthday party here. Hex(middle) and I got hit a lot but we all had so much fun! I am a tomboy so paintball was up my aisle for my 16th birthday party. My parents got the silver package for everyone which allowed us to choose whether to get gloves or torso protection. Everyone wanted the torso protection but I only needed the gloves. The paintballs still hurt through my hoodie and shirt but I use my hands too much to reason putting them in danger. We got about 2,000 paintballs which left all of us about 3 hours of fun but Sully(on the right of Hex) bought another 100 paintballs for another 1/2 hour of fun. So worth it! I am not one, but reading the negative reviews I can conclude this is not what you are looking for in a paintball venue. We had Alfredo's Pizza delivered (Amazing). Everything went on without a hitch. You have a table reserved for you, you can paintball as much as you want you just have to buy more paint balls. We all wore hoodies and pants and none of us had welts or marks on our bodies when finished. I have to say one of the most sweetest parts of your visit was when one of my son's guests accidentally left his hopper open and all his paintballs fell out, the referee noticed it right away. Was okay. Was not wowed by the establishment. We had a friend going off to another state, so we decided to do something for their last weekend with us. I had suggested we go paintball. Service was good, when you could get it. The few employees seemed to be stretched real thin. Problems arose when they would be engaged... it could take 10-30 minutes to "be next." Field was... okay. The inflatables could be inflated. Still was nice layout. Gear was... okay. My gun kept chopping paint. Maybe it might have been me and my rate if fire, but it felt .. off. The deal with getting full gear (coveralls, gloves, chest protector) was appreciate by my group. Game time. It's a relatively small area. 4, max 5 people in a team. Also, ref, why would it be a good ideal to make 3 v 4 teams? That last walk on should not have been put in a private party. Either that or there should have someone else there to round it out. There's definitely fun times to be had... but for me there were minor annoyances that could have changed it from an okay experience to a amazing one. read more

These guys run a real efficient, clean and organized facility. Props! The setup- You walk in to the staging area, fill out the waiver, watch a ten minute orientation video (has a few laughs), grab your gear, select one of three skill levels, wait for your level to be called upon for action. The place is inside a big hanger-type building. There's a door separating the staging area from the main field, and the smaller field is all the way behind that. The staging area- Its kept nice and cool inside, even on the hottest of days. The insulation on the ceiling helps a lot with that. There are many tables available so you don't feel over crowded or as though you're getting too close to other people's gear. There are cameras all over the place so as to hinder any theivery (common on fields, especially when it comes to paint). The fields- Both fields are Astro Turf fields and as the website describes it, "This turf feels like real grass, except softer as it has tiny bits of ground rubber for infill that cushion your steps, slides, and falls." They only use air bunkers. The main field is not that big. A game of six on six will start to feel crowded. The back field is smaller, but not too much smaller. Pros: -Air conditioned fields allow for longer playing time since you won't get exhausted from the heat. -Proximity of the field to the staging area allows for more playing time and less walking in between. -Very organized, seamless work flow. They have a system in place and they actually maintain it. There's always a ref on the field for games, beginners only play against pros if they want to and optional game rules are strictly enforced, e.g. cross 50, no shooting within 15ft. -Rental guns are pretty reliable. -Their website is updated, unlike many paintball fields (ahem ahem, Fort Paintball). Cons: -Field paint only. I understand why (look at their website), but I still think if they allow certain brands/colors and charge a little to use them it would be better (from a consumer's standpoint). They state, "Our specially formulated paint is a top grade premium paint that shoots great, breaks easy, and cleans up nicely, and we have this premium paint for just $65.00 a case (2000 rounds)." -Beginner and Intermediate games tend to end in a draw frequently since near the end of most of them there's always someone one team who just cowers behind a bunker all the way in the back. That sucks if the people you're playing with want the Dont Cross Halfway Rule enforced. So the alternative is to play against pros who'll shoot you within two feet if they could. Not cool for most players. Well that's all I have to say about em. We all really enjoyed our experience and we look forward to our next one. read more

I was looking for something fun for my 11 year olds birthday. I have to say that every step of the process is very easy and professional. I called first and asked a few questions and they were very helpful. I then went to the website to make a reservation and that was also easy. I was also able to pay and sign waivers online so there was no paperwork or payment when we got there. They are very big on safety also. Everyone must watch a detailed video before playing and the guns have barrel socks and safety buttons. We we got there, we had our own table reserved and had it to ourselves the entire time. Every staff member I encountered was professional, from the owner to the field judges. The smaller caliber guns are perfect for younger kids and is great for kids or adults who have never played before. There is also a dummy proof air fill station that let the kids easily refill their air tanks. I could see expert players getting bored fast with the 2 small fields. This place is perfect for beginners and families though. Highly recommended! read more

Fun fun fun. My company booked this place as a retreat for all of us. paintballs, or known as painballs, actually do hurt quite a lot when you get hit by one of these things. If you're afraid of a bruise that would last a week or so, this is not the place you want to go. Lots of parking space and the place can easily accomodate a hundred people or so at the same time. The paintballs they use are 100% washable, just wipe it down with some wetwipes. if you forgot your long sleeved protection, you can rent them for 5 bucks(some thickass hoodie) which actually helps to absorb some of the impact from the paintballs before it touches your skin. THANK YOU to the staff and crew at the Lewisville GatSplat - we had my son's 12th birthday party there, and it was truly the BEST birthday party experience we have ever had.  The paintball games were fun and exciting, but what really made it special for me, the parent, was the exceptional customer service of the staff.  Each one was friendly, patient, helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a top-notch visit, and that everything was going well for us.  Ryan did a great job of making us feel welcome - checking in on us frequently to see if we needed anything, and making sure we were happy.  (We were!)  He took time to answer all my questions about future visits, booking another outing for my business, and just a lot of general questions.  I appreciate that very much.   Omar was great!  Most of the kids in our party had never played paintball before, and they were asking lots of questions - Omar answered them all with a smile, while at the same time making the kids feel at ease.  He was extremely patient while helping the kids get fitted with their coveralls and accessories.  As a parent, and as the party host, I really appreciated his positive, upbeat attitude.   Marcus did a great job with the kids, especially before their first game, letting them go in as a group (rather than mixing us in with other groups) so they could get comfortable, since many had never played paintball before.  He was great about reminding the kids of the rules, without sounding like a drill sergeant.  He really got them excited and kept them engaged while they were waiting in line to play, while at the same time keeping them orderly and focused - just amazing to watch.   The refs did a great job running the games.  I felt like they were focused on safety first, but at the same time they kept the games moving, so there was not much down time at all.   Overall, the day was really wonderful.  They obviously have systems in place to keep things running smoothly, and the staff really executed them well.  The self-fill air stations were fantastic.  Customer service was very good from all staff.  The whole experience was very, very positive.  (Two of the party guests are planning on booking their kids' birthdays with you.)   My sincere thanks to GatSplat for making our party a memorable, fun experience! PS - If you are thinking of booking a party there, I strongly suggest that you book the GOLD package.  It may look expensive, but you will SAVE money in the long run.  When I booked the party online, I chose the silver package.  After we got there, I quickly regretted not getting the gold package, since every kid in the party wanted the extra protection package (at $10 each x 12), and I ended up needing more paintballs almost immediately (which would have been included with the gold package).  Thank goodness Ryan went ahead and bumped me to the gold package, just letting me pay the difference.  (Did I mention the GREAT customer service?!?) read more

The whole crew was really amazing. I came to check it out prior to my husband's birthday and Jason answered all my questions (considering I know nothing about paintball). I felt comfortable enough to go ahead and reserve before I left. When we arrived the day of the crew was super friendly and very organized. I purchased the Silver package and got three or four games in two rounds each game for six people. The bogies are quite not the biggest and my husband and his friends are pretty tall and the arena isn't very large. It is however a fair price for just a cool time out if your an average player. I wish I would have went ahead private play some knuckle head kids wouldn't get out when they got shot. The refs did the best the could, but they can't be every where at once. read more

I was drawn in by a few things: 1. I've always wanted to go paintballing, the thought of it possibly hurting made me laugh. 2. It's indoor so you don't have to be super sweaty and gross. 3. I found a Google Offer for a pretty okay deal. I went on a Sunday at about 3pm (they close at 5). At first I was overwhelmed by the number of children and birthday parties but they managed to have us playing against the older crown and the kids weren't so bad. Due to it being my first time I had to watch a 15 minute video on do's and don'ts, pretty basic stuff. They give you a gun and a face mask, load it up and head on out. They have two courts, one set up like a capture the flag deal (as beginners that wasn't so fun), and the other was set up more like a dodgeball court with obstacles to hide behind...more fun if you ask me. I have a deal that got me in with equipment for $10 and then ended up sharing the 1000 paintballs for $45 that we shared three ways...I think this is the best option, to share with your group. Overall, not a bad deal but not a cheap hobby, either. They have special paintballs to use indoors that break and are made of an oily substance. They left a pretty gross substance on everything so the whole place was a bit sticky and gross...to be expected, I guess. We left for dinner and I left my car parked there and when I returned to pick it up they were thoroughly washing everything so This was a great experience and I am so glad that I went. I was hit twice in the back and the paintball didn't break (more painful?) and once in the face mask (that one didn't hurt at all)...as much as the shots in my back hurt it just made me laugh at the idea that I signed myself up for that. It's really just a sting, layer up and it will hurt less. I definitely recommend trying this out...grab your friends and head on out! read more

"Intermediate Player Review" We wanted to try an indoor field, since it's way too hot to play outside. We went on a Saturday and there were really only small groups of beginners playing. Since we brought our own guns/gear we were labeled intermediate players, however, there were no other intermediate players to play with.We were told if we shot with field guns we could play with the beginners. Nobody with guns/intermediate ever showed up so we were stuck with the beginners. So... they only have 2 fields, one is a castle and one is a normal set up. The fields are short, so it's pretty much speed ball style. I can see why people with their own guns don't come here. Like most fields it's field paint only, EXCEPT, unlike most fields it's $95.00 a case. Gatsplat is probably great for beginners, small groups of beginners, and kids... but beyond that it's a waste of money for non-beginners. Positives: 2 refs per field, which was nice and unusual for paintball these days. Clean, air conditioned, staff/refs were nice and rental gear seemed well maintained. Oh, one more small gripe, the field paint color we were using was white... which is a really hard color to tell if you got someone out.... read more

The was my first time to go to Gatsplat and I had a decent time. I have been playing paintball for years and this past Christmas, I gave my two nephews paintball guns. The oldest decided he wanted to play for his birthday, so here I am. So I see that my nephew is using .50 caliber paint. This is good for kids because it doesn't hurt as much. It's also easier to clean as it's less than half the amount of paint. This also means i can't use my paintball gun. Sad. The rental guns are just run of the mill guns. Almost every time I went out to the field, I had a paintball break in the barrel. Why is this important? If you have paint splattered all inside the barrel, your paintballs won't fly straight. This means you shoot 3, 4, 5 more paintballs than you normally would to hit your target. Not only that, but those paintballs cost money, almost $.05 each. So between games, I'd have them clean my barrel, and the 3rd or 4th shot on my next game, I'd have another broken paintball and curving paintballs. It's really annoying. Most people don't understand what's going on, so it's no big deal to them. Another reason why I don't like to use rental equipment. (Please don't look down the barrel, it will unscrew and then you can look and see if there's paint inside your barrel) The actual fields are actually run quite well. They were constantly asking for our team to go to the field. It's a little rushed and I would have liked them to space out how quickly they called us as you had to wait around some for the last group to finish. I realize that the faster they can cycle the fields, the more money they make, it's basic economics, but if we have to wait for a whole match, that doesn't make sense. There are only two fields, the front speedball field and the rear castle field. It's not enough but they run it well enough that it's acceptable. I really liked the refs. There are two per field which is helpful. If you're planning on coming here on a Saturday, it's a mad house. Literally kids running around everywhere. If you get nothing else out of my review, here's what you should get: If you're playing, bring a baseball hat and wear it backwards. It helps to keep your head protected and the paintball mask strap in place. Move unpredictably. Don't poke your head out the same place over and over. Especially, don't just stand and shoot. It looked like other groups had pizza delivered to Gatsplat. Bring a long sleeved shirt as the fields are air conditioned and it's just a little chilly if you're not playing. If you have two infants, do not bring them in a double (side by side) stroller, you're just asking for dirty looks. It will be in the way no matter where you put them. Conclusion: I'd come back here, but only because I want to play with my nephew. If I had my choice, I would go elsewhere but this is because I'm an intermediate player that likes woodsball. read more

Saw several large parties there with kids of all ages and adults they have 2 separate lots to play. Front lot and back lot.
