If you have older kids, this is definitely not the place for you. * Broken Games: The "video game" area is a joke. They only have 12 older games, and only 4 of them actually work. * No Basic Amenities: There is absolutely nowhere to put your shoes. Just left Nerfies and couldn't have asked for anything more! We took a group of special needs adults from 11-1 and it was top notch. They opened just for us! This allowed for all of our participants to be involved and not worry about the general public and smaller kids! One of our participants was able to get out of his wheel chair and enjoy the bounce house! Oh the smiles! The employees interacted with our participants and even called them by name! We rented out a private room for our party of 20 kids and everyone had a lot of fun! I think the bad reviews are for the shared space so I highly recommend renting the private arena. Even the guests loved how we all had our private space. I was able to bring my own playlist of music to play and you can bring your own food. They don't charge extra for that when many places do. Also, if you order pizza for pickup or delivery I highly recommend ordering from Heirloom pizza down the street, everyone at our party raved about the pizza including the party host. read more

In the shooting area, kids are completely unsupervised, no rules and they shoot each other in the face at close range. Called and they were very nice and helpful when we got here the manager on duty I did not catch her name but she was very helpful with it being our first time. The deal for unlimited nerf games and arcade games is epic! My kids were so excited and shocked they got to play so much with no problems. The place was very clean . So, if you decide to have a party here don't. They throw everyone in the same area no matter the age. So our 14 and his teenage friends were in the pit and 3 year old kids came in. They told our boys not to run, not to shoot them, etc. well if they can't run and shoot each other why the heck did I waste my money. The manager Alaina Alexander is terrible! Tell me you haven't work with kids. Then she screamed at them and said they were brayed and bad. I find that funny when all of them have been nominated several times for great behavior and academics. Ma'am this isn't the job for you. She needs to be fired and learn how to talk to children because she is going to come across the wrong parent. The owner decided to respond on Google with lies so I guess I have no choice but tell the truth. Thank you for responding and thank you for being dishonest. As you can see from the Yelp reviews you need to change how you handle your business. You don't have to worry we WILL NEVER RETURN. There is definitely a lot of potential here to be the next great birthday destination. We did have a good time. However, the lack of execution from the staff made it confusing when it came time to check out. It was our first time here. I believe a designated party person should be able to check in with the table. It was also frustrating to learn that the supplies they offered for the parties were not available when we requested it. ie. Napkins, plates. We held our son's birthday party here. Overall, our experience here was substandard given the price that we paid. I would have expected that for $350+, our booking would have included some sort of 'high touch' service by a staff member (escorting us to the table, slicing our cake, providing a gift table, recognizing the birthday child, or even explaining the logistics of the party e.g. when cake will be cut, etc). We didn't receive any of that. When we arrived, we had to find our own party table (not even a sign for the birthday kid??). Staff appear to all be high school students and were not helpful. No staff is assigned to the birthday table and at no time did they help us...not even ONCE! This was unfortunate given that there were at least 8-10 staff members onsite who, at all times, were more focused on chatting with each other and playing on their phones instead of attending to customers. Normally with a birthday party, one would expect some sort of game, announcement, or some sort of spotlight on the birthday child, but we received none of that. When we asked if they would make an announcement that it was time for the cake, the staff told us that 'all they could do was pause the music and let the parents yell the kid's name. In addition, at no times were the staff monitoring the physical safety of the facility. There were multiple instances where older teens were climbing on top of the bounce house, causing it to collapse on small children who were inside. We, ***THE PARENTS*** had to intervene to prevent children from being harmed while all the while, the staff members were at the front desk playing on Instagram. All in all, I have to say that the experience at this facility was rather subpar given the amount we paid (other parents agreed). Amazing 5th birthday we had for my son! It was like a kids dream come true. We had the 20 people package private party and let me tell you it is worth every dollar. The staff set up everything for you, went above and beyond to making sure everything was smooth and taken care of. I brought in a small cake to give the kids after we ate the pizza we bought it. A team member approached us informing us that because we had a cake (mind you they saw us bring this in when we first walked in) we would have to pay the birthday party fee of $350+. New kids' place that does nerf wars. It took over the space where Jump Mania used to be. A fun concept and they have a really good starter deal that I would assume is just the get people to realize they are there and come check them out. Regardless it is a good deal. It was something like up to 10 kids to play and get 2 cheese pizzas for $99. For our family, it is always hard to find things to do with kids during July and August in Texas to get them to burn some energy so they don't tear apart the house. This is an awesome thing to do esp when hot out to get the kids in the AC and run them around. It does seems like they are still getting their systems down but I don't hold that against them much since they only opened a couple weeks ago. read more

Went here recently for a birthday party and **sigh**...well this is how it went down... We arrive for the private party to find the place packed! The private room was not ready for our group so we just sat and waited. While we waited, the kids had fun in the battle area-a small section of the room with padded walls and a few inflatables. Nothing exciting but the kids had a blast! Later, we finally got to the private room which was actually a shared room with another large party making it nearly impossible to keep socially distant. Our pizzas came about 2 hours into the party as people were getting ready to leave. On a positive note, the owners and staff were very nice and they did try to wipe down all of the nerf guns after the kids played with them. I could honestly see myself coming back during the week when the crowds are sparse, but the Saturday crowd was too much for my comfortable level. The next time one of my kid's friends has a party scheduled for this place we will have to politely decline the invite! read more

Wow! Just wow! The customer service at Nerfies Plano is incredible. Yesterday I called to confirm that open play would be available today and they confirmed it would be. When we arrived today - a camp of all girls was having an event. I was bringing lots of boys! The Nerfies crew jumped into action to keep all the parties happy and opened up the private room for my children and their friends. We were meeting several other families there... Vanna was especially helpful and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. The entire playdate was very special for my kids and our friends. We felt valued. We will be back again! NOT AS ADVERTISED! There is no organized play. No teams or games while in the ONE AND ONLY nerf play area. A lot of the dart guns don't work for the basic fee, but you can upgrade to balls for $10! There was no way we were going to do that because the lack of organized play makes it not fun to play. read more

Had our son's birthday party today and it was awesome. The place is so much fun and the two hours passed so quickly. They let you bring in your own food and drinks and there is even a private room. The kids played the whole time and had a blast with the nerf guns, air hockey, arcade games and there was even axe throwing and a jump house. Can't wait to come back read more

The area as whole is just visually stunning, the art is very up to date the carpet is eye-catching and overall very pleasing to the eye. The nerf is small and compact which it light work for reloading the vast types of nerf guns they have to offer. Not only do they let you play your own music, the customer service is excellent. The nerf experience is also amazing as you can bring in your own nerf guns and they let you borrow theirs. t's probably not surprising but there is no oversight on how children behave in the arena so what eventually happens is the older kids seemingly begin guerrilla warfare on the younger kids, holding them "hostage" by "nerf gun point" not allowing them to leave their "pens" for fear of being pummeled with the automatic battery operated nerf guns at close range. One kid put a nerf gun to my kids eye under the "protective goggles" and forced him to drop his nerf gun then escorted him up these stairs where he cried for me. It's dark so hard to see as a parent what is always happening behind the mesh "wall". Staff did not step in even though there are two of them inside the gameplay/arena area. read more

We booked the private room for my son's 8th birthday party and the whole experience was perfect. From the day I scheduled and paid for it, to the actual day of the party everything went smooth. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for the party. Having a whole section with our own Nerf guns, inflatable and bathroom gave us peace of mind that the kiddos would be ok and we could relax a bit. I like that you can bring your own food and that you are not tied to a specific restaurant. Everyone including kids, parents and grandparents had a blast. This place was horrible for a birthday party. The kids had fun but..... the lady running the place was rude and had a horrible attitude. They provided no place for your food, cake, gift bags. It was expected you just put it on the floor. I asked for an little table for these things and was told no. Meanwhile, still a bad attitude. We took the tables so we could put our food there. Suddenly, extra tables appeared to replace the ones we borrowed. There was no service, no help running the party. So unprofessional and incredibly disappointed. This place is more than awesome in everything. The idea of the place is new and unique. It is one of the best places I visited while I was visiting Plano during the spring break week . The place is clean and decorated in a perfect and in an amazing way. The lady at the front desk is super nice and smiling all the time. She and another staff have so much patience to tell the kids the difference between every single type of the nerf guns on the wall. Also, the owner is super nice, friendly and welcoming. They are allowing you to bring food from outside which was an awesome option for me. My kids had so much fun and spent more than three hours without feeling bored. The place is probably a lot of fun if it's exclusive to children of a certain age (5-10) who were initially allowed in there. But watching teenagers yell, "What the f-- are you looking at?" in my 8-year-old son's face was the final straw. A group of those same kids also repeatedly shot at a 3-year-old girl's head and the staff be nowhere to be found. Fathers sprinted in to protect their own kids. My entire family had a blast here. I was hesitant visiting this place because of the reviews but decided to give it a chance anyway. I am so glad we did because we truly enjoyed ourselves and all 3 of kids with ages 5,10 and 15 had an absolute blast. I will say paying the 6 dollars extra for a better gun just made the whole experience that much better, it is worth it.
