I wasn't totally clear on what to expect with this place. I knew it had something to do with "game shows" - as the name implies. So I kept an open mind and went with some coworkers. We had a blast. You're basically led through several game show style games/activities. Some are hands on, some are brain teasers, others are pure luck. You participate in a private game room and all the scoring is automated so you just follow the prompts from your host. I would gladly go back. This is fun for a wide range of ages/interests. We want as a large family, and had a lot of fun. The kids in our group included a three year old as the youngest, and 13 year old as the oldest. Although we all had a great time, I would say this experience is best for kids over 7. Any younger, and it might be too difficult to answer trivia questions and to understand the games we were playing. Overall, all of us really enjoyed it and would happily go again. Yes! So much fun. Did not know what to expect really. I was part of the Trivia game show. There were two teams of 4, red and blue. Various games are thrown up on the monitor with questions. Depending on the game it's a team response or you chime in with your buzzer. You get a snip video once done. read more

The Great Big Game Show was such a fun group experience! The one thing I will say it is pricey and if you don't have a bigger group to go with it might not be as fun. Also, you are paired with strangers- unless you pay a huge premium to have a private party. But aside from that I really enjoyed my time and loved the competitiveness. This would be so fun for a corporate team building activity. Our host was super funny and made the time a lot of fun. I wish the mini games were longer but they were super fun. The only suggestion I would give is to book a room with a group of 12 people. Our group of 9 got placed with a father and his 2 children (whom we didn't know), which ruined the dynamic of the room a little bit. Otherwise, the whole experience was fun and took an hour to complete. Cooper was a great host, and I regret not making him squirm when he asked each contestant a "get to know you question". We played a total of 8 games, which consisted of 3 separate trivia games, a Plinko style game, a block stacking game, a wheel spinning game, a mental timing game, and a nerf gun shooting game. I didn't read up on this venue because I wanted to have no expectations. When we got there, they didn't really tell us what to expect except that we were put into teams. We had eight people in our party and they notified us that might that another four people would join us whenever they arrived. That's odd. Sucks that we could get the room to ourselves. We go into a small room, but as we are walking down the hall, we heard other teams hooting and hollering so we knew it was going to be a good time. We split into our teams and waited patiently for a few seconds before our host entered the room. How neat to have a live host! That made it feel like a real game show. She was enthusiastic, charismatic, and hilarious. We played games such as stacking, trivia (two), spin the wheel, Plinko, and Nerf guns. It was a lot of fun. The best part is that you didn't have to pick up all the Nerf bullets. As long as you have the right kind of people in your group, you will have a fun time. The only downside is the price. I can't justify $42 for 30 minutes of fun. I don't know. I might check out the Trivia session to see if that would be more worth it. read more
