Gattitown has a special place in my heart. It's a general pizza-arcade combo type of place. The food is usually not great quality (except the cinnamon sticks which are so addictive) but if you have kids, there's a lot for them to do, even beyond the arcade games. They have large screens playing TV in the dining areas, bumper cars, bowling, and more. We were a little disappointed that recently it seems you can really only redeem tickets for plastic trinkets. But everyone who worked there was super friendly even though we stayed until close to closing time. read more

Whelp.... needed to update after this visit. We literally were standing outside.... in line..... 30 degrees.... only 2 cashiers working. I mean come on! It's a Saturday afternoon. I will say this... kitchen did a tremendous job keeping up with the food. Nothing ran out and all was hot and fresh and clean! That was awesome!!!!!!!!! Some of the games took out money and didn't work (soccer ball kick game, bowling (twice) and one of the electronic games) and no attendant to be found. We went into the ticket redemption area to ask for help, they called someone to help and we waited and waited and no one showed up. That didn't make me too happy. Overall..... not so good. I have to say, when it comes to getting out with family & kiddos, this place is just about perfect. First, you must pay admission to the buffet to get in, which could be inconvenient if you just want to enjoy the games, however I could see how it could get complicated to control who entered for which. That being said, I loved the buffet & had no objections to dining here. Maybe it's just the fatty in me but, I found the buffet to be quite good, especially for the price. They have different buffet prices based on age ranges of young and older children, adults, & seniors. Children 3 & under eat free so that's a big plus! I believe it is somewhere around $10 & some change for adults buffet & a drink. They have a huge salad bar &, being a huge lover of salads, I would totally come here just for that! Along with their salad bar, they also have quite a few different pizzas on the buffet, a baked potato bar, nacho bar, pasta bar, & a dessert bar along with many different soda & drink options as well as slushies. They also have quite a few different dining rooms you can choose to eat your meal in, one being a theater room for kids playing cartoons, another is a sports themed room playing sports, & event rooms for parties. The game area is nice with many different games and I liked how you load money onto a card that you slide at the machines to start the game. Any tickets you win are loaded onto the cards & can later be redeemed in their pretty large prize room, but keep in mind, any of the big prizes cost a ridiculous amount of tickets & would probably cost a fortune to win enough tickets to achieve. The games cost anywhere from 25 cents to $6 depending on what you are wanting to do. They also have bumper cars which are $2.50 & even my 23-year old boyfriend seemed to have fun on them bumping into his 5-year old son. My only complaints have to do with the game area. They have a Frog Hopper ride for the kids in the game area and when we asked the only attendant in the game area if our son could ride it he exclaimed that he was manning the bumper cars and someone else was assigned to that ride. However, we never saw another person. We assumed they might've been on a break but after spending a little over an hour in this area, we never saw anyone else attending to anything in the game area so our kids never did get to ride it. They also had a bungee trampoline, again no one was ever attending it. The lazer tag, closed for renovations. So the biggest attractions, & the bigger reasons we chose to come here from out of town, were not even accessible. My kiddos were very upset, to say the least. But they did enjoy the few games they could play. The prizes were definitely not worth the amount we spent to play the games but the fun had was more than worth the cost of this trip. We will definitely be back. We were here celebrating our 2-year old's birthday & although there was not a lot of things geared towards his age we could tell he enjoyed it & felt like he was doing things. Our 5-year old said he loved this place and wanted to come back for his birthday in a few months so we may be back sooner rather than later! It's not an incredibly huge place but if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy with kids, or if you're just a big kid at heart & love arcade games, this is definitely the place to go! The salad bar was good but can you really fuck up salad? Good offerings though. The pizza is marginal - but this is GattiTown, not Una Pizza in downtown Chicago, so let's keep some perspective for Christ's sake. What got me was the expense. Maybe it is because I was around during the boon of arcades - quarter a game. This place gouges you for $1 or more a game. My child and her friend we brought along ran through $50 in record time...after all, that equates out to just 25 turns each. I tried to focus them on the bowling game since those turns lasted longer than the machines. The saving grace may have been the dessert pizza. Still a better choice that Chuck E Cheese...been there twice, my kid got pink eye from both visits. read more

The perfect place for a family! The buffets are WONDERFULLY Priced! 6.99 for adults and cheaper the younger you are! The food was all fresh, stocked, and well taken care of. The ladies bussing the tables were wonderful. Great customer service. The games were all in working order. Even though it was packed, there was plenty of rooms around the games and plenty for everyone to do. There is food that anyone, even if on a restricted diet, can eat. I cannot eat anything with fat and there were plenty of salad options and they were amazing. Fresh Fresh Fresh! The great thing? We went at lunch time, ate a small lunch time snack, and then played games for about 3 hours, and the kiddies and hubby went back for dinner! This is a great place! The food is good and priced right. They have a variety of games for all ages- even bumper cars and laser tag! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because they aren't staffed well and some staff members aren't friendly or informative. For instance when we played laser tag- there was no instruction given by the employee or instructional video like other businesses that offer laser tag. Also, some of the games like the jumping or cars didn't have a dedicated staff member to assist customers wanting to use them. So you would have to find someone and ask to be assisted. The pizza was delicious, but when I went to to indulge in some Mac and cheese, the noodles were crunchy and the most of the lettuce was very warm. I had my niece with me and she is wheel chair bound. She wanted to ride the frog hopper or do bumper cars but she couldn't, none of the rides are wheel chair accessible. We got tickets, and took her to pick out a prize. The problem with this place is that, it is a money pit. A night out for family of four was almost 50$ and that was just for the food and drink(soda) and then you know they have an arcade and they also have bumper cars and a trampoline high wire thing, all extra money. The pizza i great the amount of things to choose from is good, but for a night out with family you need to take out a second mortgage. People who have children that live on a fixed income are less likley to ho here, to me its ment to be a place for the people who have more money, i am sure people who cant aford it go there because kids like it there so parents feel presured. I've had pretty good food here and just ok food on separate visits. GattiTown has something to offer to just about every one. I really enjoy their salad bar but they also have a small taco bar, baked potato bar, hot dogs, pizza buffet, pasta buffet, canned fruit, pudding, and dessert pizza selections. 3 adults and 1 child came to $35 with drinks. It's all you can eat. The attendents do a good job of keeping things stocked and clean. The game room is separate and very loud. Game cards can be purchased and recharged. We found the "cafe" room at the front of the restaurant a nice retreat from the louder theme rooms. For the money, I think GattiTown is a good value. read more

Great prices . 2 adults 2 kids 28$ all the pizza you can eat. The salad bar was awesome huge salad with all the fixing . I love the banana peppers and black olives on my salad . Gives it a zang and moist . Wthey also gave the kids both free 5$ game cards . And then obviously you have to go to the prize room and stand at the funny atm thing and put more money on the cards because well let's face it; 5 dollars won't last a kid long. So I put 20$ on each of my daughters cards and it lasted them for hours they loved the bungee jumping thing . My oldest just did her first back flip on this today. (Proud dad here) and my youngest she had an amazing time . She's 3 and she was probably hitting 15 feet in the air. This is a much calmer option compared to chucky cheese. Not nearly chaotic. We will definitely be coming back . And you don't have to worry about any kids stealing your kids tickets because the tickets are electronically on your game card. The spinach pizza was amazing . Not a bad place for pizza and salad. There are potatoes and nachos if you know where to look. I would go 3.5 stars if I could. I think it is a little expensive for what you get. Several of the games were out of service. Two different goes took money off my card but did not start. I was not able to easily find an attendant to ask about it. It was only 50 cents each time and I did not want to take the time to leave to find someone. Overall a good experience but could use a few more games. read more
