YESSSSS! This place is the bomb.com. I grew up with Mr Gattis... it's literally the BEST PIZZA IN TOWN. I still remember the jingle by heart. I came here to bring the kids for a break from being at home for summer. It happened to be a kids eat free day so one of my little ones got in for free. Normally, I am a pizza lover and love me some Gatti's pizza. Recently became gluten intolerant, so I at least knew they had a decent salad bar. Some Gatti's locations offer Gluten Free pizza but this one didn't. However, they did offer to make me a crustless pizza, which took me by surprise. Basically the sauce and toppings warmed in the oven with the cheese on top. I wanted all veggies. This was really helpful in me curbing my cravings for Gatti's pizza. I normally don't care to leave reviews but felt compelled to inform other parents. Where to begin? When getting food, there is no line system. Tons of kids and others running/cutting/crashing into you while you attempt to help yourself in a free for all to the sub-par lukewarm pizza and cardboard flavored desserts that our sugar-obsessed Children didn't even enjoy. The arcade is wildly expensive, and 30$ got us nowhere with 5$ and 3.60$ prices PER KID per some of the "better" games. Don't even think about prizes, you'd have to spend so much money to let your kids take home some Spree Candies and a few bouncy balls. The children were put off by the volume of most games, literally screaming at them to the point they had to cover their ears to withstand the ride. Just go to Mount Playmore, it's amazing, worth your money, and the kids will have so much more fun. Wouldn't recommend! read more

Ehhhh, why can't fun places for families have better food? Just because I have a mini me, doesn't me I want to eat subpar food, especially pizza when we go to family events. Just saying... Here are my thoughts on Gattiland Land: -We went here for a kid's birthday party. We had to pay to get inside because the other kid's parents didn't want to have an official party at Gattiland. It was my hubby and I and our 3 year old. It was $25 since we all had to pay for the buffet. It was $7.99 for each adult and $3.99 for a kid who did not eat one bite of food. We also got drinks, which got us up to the $25 mark. It's a bit annoying to pay for a kid that I know won't eat. -The buffet that we paid for was just not good. I'm not a pizza snob, but the pizza here was just blah. The salad bar looked pretty, but I am anti-veggie, so that didn't help me in the least. It was just disappointing all the way around. -The game section was pretty impressive. There are a lot of games for all skill levels. They even had strategy games like Connect 4 and the like. This section redeemed the fiasco of the buffet. The prices were a bit high, but the games were super fun. I'm sure we will be back for future birthday parties, but it is definitely not my first choice to go to on my own. You have been warned. read more

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. I have only been here two times and really would rather not go again. The first time I went was summer and my child asked to go as local kids had mentioned Gatti Land and my child wanted to play the games. Thinking it was like Chucky I headed over for the Tuesday game special. The place was empty and I was told when I asked to buy game cards that we HAD to purchase buffets. I explained that we were not there to eat just to play. (Food allergies - we really had no intention of attempting the food.) They said they would make an exception 'this time' - I am guessing because they had little other business at the time. So, we walked past the buffet line, and we played and it was fine. The kids had fun that afternoon. I have since only been here when invited with a group, and meeting there at dinner time, on weekend. It is NOT the best. I will break it down here: We had a coupon for $40 for four buffets and (4) $5 game cards. So, when you consider that none of the games are .25 the cards are quickly expired and the food is cheap and low quality. You get what you pay for with the food here. Upon arrival I noticed that the place was packed with people. Seriously packed. People standing outside, in the lobby, and every table area completely full. There were several parties in full swing. The environment is one of crowded, loud, blinky, grimy, chaos. The table areas had debris on tables and floors. There were people busing the tables actively. As one would get cleaned people quickly swooped in to occupy them. One table area had various sports media. The rest of the table areas featured only spanish language media. They offer pizza, pasta, and salad. Although the kids in our group were happy with the pizza and pasta it is definitely not high quality. The salad bar was my only food interest. The heels/stems of the lettuces were included in the salad. The mushrooms were unwashed. Who ever is over food prep clearly knows nothing about salad prep/presentation. This is a place you don't go to for the food - unless high volume is your primary interest. The one high spot was a fountain of Horchata. There were some other drink options there that were not typical as well, but I do enjoy Horchata so that's what I stuck with. This is a great place to practice/speak Spanish. The employees spoke directly to me, unprompted in Spanish several times. The kids in our group enjoyed the game area but found they had to wait in crowds at each game due to the volume of people. As a result it took a long time to exhaust the $20 in game credits our family had purchased. We survived. I would rather not go again. The kids just want to play the games. I agree with another poster, I just wanted to wash my hands - and bathe the kids when we left. read more

Haven't been here in many years so, went here for my nieces birthday and although the pizza is still pretty good I feel like it was sub par now. There needs to be a wider variety of pizza to choose from like they have at Cicis or other places. If so it would be great because then you have all the pizza you can eat plus arcade games. On that note there are still bumper cars plus the upgraded games that you can win tickets or even stuffed animals. We still had a wonderful time and I'm sure we will go back at some point just want to have a variety. read more

This place can be a ZOO. Kids and chaos reign. The playroom is pretty loud, even when it's not packed. But I like the variety of food on the buffet...good salad choices, pasta, pizza, and desserts. The value is really good compared to other pizza/play places. A friend taught me the tricks to really making a trip here work with my 3 year-old, and we have had a great time ever since we started following her advice: Tip 1: Moms eat free on Mondays. So, you pay $5 for a kids buffet and you both get to eat. Nice! (This cost doesn't include games, btw.) Tip 2: Go early! Be there when the doors open. It starts getting crazy at 12:30ish. Tip 3: Play first, THEN eat. Play until the playroom gets full, then go through the buffet line...it usually moves pretty quickly. And this really shouldn't have to be mentioned, but for goodness sake...WASH YOUR HANDS before you eat. :oD After eating, we usually take a little walk to the Teacher Supply store in the shopping center....I forget the name, but it's a neat little local place. They always have fun stickers or educational toys, usually at a decent price. I include that in this review just because it's a quick extra activity that we almost always tack onto our Gatti trips, and my son loves it. read more

This is my favorite place to bring the tots on rainy days. The pizza tastes like it was frozen, but even after our frequent visits, I still look forward to the salad bar, breadsticks, and desserts. My tots love the mac & cheese. We always sit in the "movie theatre" room to eat, but my husband appreciates the "sports bar" room. ;-) Dear Gattiland: PLEASE turn up the volume (or at least add captions) in the movie theatre room!!!! My kiddos LOVE the game room, and it's always a "challenge" getting my older tot to leave when it's time to go home (think: the loudest/craziest dramaliscious-diva-meltdown that a 2 yr old can muster). ;-) read more

Disgusting disappointment! You need to get your act together when its a student holiday! Tables were not cleaned fast enough.. you ran out if forks for salad? Really?! Can't keep up with demand on pizza and your employees moved slow as turtles but they could stand around and talk. Horrible! Oh btw look at the RRISD calendar for the next holiday and overstaff and let your people carry tubs to get the dirty dishes out of a room! They just piled the mess on tables and disappeared! Gross. We were a walk in birthday party with no reservation and we just wanted a regular table not the party room. The manager(?) was amazing and went out of his way to make everything special and accommodate everyone. The pizza and salad buffet was great, much better than I expected. The manager almost immediately served our special request pizzas to our table. The games all work and the entire facility is clean. The arcade room is huge and had plenty of room to run around. I am very grateful for our experience and everyone at the party was impressed. The employee who went of his way to help us was about 5'10" and had neatly combed whitish hair and he took amazing care of everything, I would be very surprised if it wasn't a manager. Took my 3 children here last year and all 4 of us got food poisoning. It was horrible! Took my kids to play games after eating that death trap they were run down kept taking the credits but would freeze. I eventually just left. I still have credits on my game card I'll never use. The staff is super friendly (minus the face painter). The kids had a great time here and the food is cheap. I do have 2 complaints that each took off a star... 1. I feel the face painter needs to give priority to kids. We were in line for over 1 hour because there were a group of adults who wanted their face painted. The face painter spoke Spanish and was calling her fellow native speakers to the front of the "line" to get their face painted. We don't speak spanish so initially we didn't know whats going on but we figured it out eventually. The kids never got their face painted. =( 2. A bunch of the machines will take your money but give you no credits to play the game until the 2nd or 3rd swipe. Keep an eye on your credit balance as you swipe. We lost approx $5 in credits due to faulty machines. Overall a great place still. Going to take the kiddos to ChuckeCheese soon so we can compare. read more

It's a good place for some meal specials and a special meal time with fun for the family included. I appreciate how they have cleaned and expanded the back play area and games. The buffet area accomodates a lot of pizza and pasta choices, but I wish they would offer a few more salad additions. I am not knocking it, the pizza choices are good, fresh, and tasty, but sometimes I wish the salad bar was a little bigger and the ingrediants a little cooler. We came here for a birthday party, and had low expectations coming in. Overall, the seating area, restrooms, and game area feel outdated and dirty. The buffet seems minimal, and every time a pizza comes out, it swiftly disappears. We made a request for their Apple dessert pizza, but never got to have any! The pizza tasted fine, but eating off dirty dishes was disconcerting. The game room seems decrepit and filled with germs. I wonder if the the machines are ever cleaned off. I felt like I needed to bathe in bleach after coming here. Don't except to win any prizes here, unless playing the horse race game, which you need a minimum of three people to play. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for an employee to start the game for us. The restrooms were filled with trash and unkept. Hopefully we don't have to come back anytime soon. read more

As soon as we got to Gatti Land I loved it. It was so awesome. There were so many places to discover there. We first went in and picked up our food. You could serve yourself you and can have food there whenever you want. That was the part I liked. Because if you get too full you can have more latter. After that we went to go see the exciting games they had like bumper cars, video games, and mini bowling and etc. The most fun was playing mini bowling and doing video games. The food at Gatti Land was great because you can make your own salad and dessert and the you could have pizza. When you finish making your dish you sit in the theater and we watched 'Wreck It Ralph'. If I was to rate Gatti Land I would rate 5 stars. read more

First time, and I went by myself with 2 toddlers on super bowl. It went great. They had a movie room plying toy story - love that, dinner and a movie. Only issue was the volume should have been louder - that room was packed and it was hard to hear movie - but once all the adults cleared out it was good. I have a 2 & 4 year old, we ate for $14. And I was surprised that they had games for my little ones! We got $5 worth and that was plenty. They have a small 3 horse carosel, and I would say about 8-10 games/rides they could easily do (and mom approved) We will be back. Saving for rainy or cold days. I have to give them 4 stars for being so consistent on dropping me into a food coma when I visit this place. I try to limit myself to no more than 1 comma every two months or so. They have a nice system down to keep the buffet loaded and fresh for the mass amount of plates and hands passing by on what seems like a continual basis.The salad bar is constantly manned by someone refilling and cleaning the area up. I like Gattis and solely based on the pizza buffet I would have to give them 10 stars over Austin Park and Pizza down the road (YUCK, NASTY, Bluuuaaa'ck). The only thing I don't really care about is the pasta. Never have been a fan. I have family members that love it but that is where my bar drops and I feel I entered sub par zone. The people are always nice - food always is fresh as hot. For a pizza buffet capitalizing on it's indoor entertainment it isn't a bad deal. read more

If it were not for my 3 1/2 year old daughter, I would not be here but I think that's the case for most parents. I don't think I can be too judgmental of this place being that it is very affordable but with that aside, it could use some work. The pizza is palatable and they have 3 places to eat: Room with a projection tv playing kid's moves, Room with a projection tv playing sports, and dining room with no tv's. We have eaten in the kid's room twice and the sports room once. The kid's room feels like it needs to be flooded with bleach. There is a smell similar to a dirty day care center. It's pretty gross and some of the booths are torn. That aside, the pizza isn't that bad and kid's expectations are pretty low so she was happy. If your like us, you will come here more for the games than the pizza. This place is no Dave and Busters. All of the games are 10-15 years old and are more for kids and carney lovers so you "gamer aficionados" will not appreciate this place. Overall, my daughter does enjoy this place but I feel like I need to wash my hands after touching anything in there. read more

Hosted my niece's birthday party here, and Gatti Land sure made it a nice time for everyone. It was so easy for kids to get food and whatever they wanted off the buffet. They helped to cut the cake we brought in, and took care of handing out game cards at just the right time. I was delighted when they gave my niece a complimentary face painting by the artist who was in the main area doing balloons and face painting for kids. We had an hour and a half for the room. While I would have liked a little more time than that, it was easy enough for those of us not playing games at that point to find a new location in one of the big rooms. The food is so-so, but considering it's an all you can eat buffet, it's pretty reasonable. I also wish they had better/more games. Overall, though, it's a great place to take a child where they will be fed, entertained by good movies and reasonable games. I would definitely pick Gatti Land again for a child's birthday party! read more

For kids or family Gatti-Land is the best place in Austin. Huge projector screens showing sports in one room and cartoons for the kids in another. Moms eat free on mondays, kids eat free on wednsedays, and half price games on tuesdays. The food is just so yummy here. The salad bar items are bright and fresh. The pastas are delicious. One of my favorite foods is their orzo and beans dish. Their pizza is so flavorful. I crave this place sometimes. Another thing to mention is that they have good deals with Moms Eat Free Mondays, Kids Eat Free Wednesdays, and valuabel coupons in the mail. The games can be overpriced and reward you with little, but the food is good enough to cover that minor irritation. It can be extremely crowded and anxiety inducing, but you can figure out times to go when you have ample room and peace and still a steaming, full buffet. Lastly, the staff is great. This is a review on Gatti's just up the street that does delivery, there was no where else for me to rant about our order tonight. We have been disappointed before by them but tonight was final test, and FAILED. Our pizza was burnt, not just over cooked it was BLACK all over edges and crust. Then we ordered both pizza's with half and half toppings but they were both thrown on so sloppy that it was more like 3/4 to all over double toppings. I get so frustrated with them. The actual Gattiland is where we will have to go for now on when we want pizza because they never disappoint! Love Gattiland and the array of food you can get along with the amazing game room. This place is cool for young kids! I have a five year old and he absolutely loves this place. The buffet is ok, not the best, but still pretty good. They just reworked their play area and its GORGEOUS! My son was in game heaven! Mediocre prizes. I did feel like you end up spending ALOT on the games for iffy prizes. The games range from 50 cents - $2.00 or more. I havent seen them all so i cant say for sure. Overall my son loves it and thats good enough for me. Have brought my family every few months for several years now...this is our first time since the renovations. Very impressed by the improvements....the larger game room allows for more space in between games and more games. It always felt so cramped before. Now it has seating areas spaced throughout the game floor. Food was, as always, good for a buffet. There are lots of choices and they will make up pizzas upon request. My daughter loves eating in the movie room though my son and husband would prefer the sports room. I prefer the quiet room with no tvs but that is personal opinion. read more
