Gatti Land isn't just a Mr. Gatti's it's the land of Gatti. I pulled up with Andrea and the kids looking for inexpensive pizza and Gatti's didn't fail to deliver. The kids seem to have fond memories of Cici's but I've always found the pizza to be so so and taste like marinara on cardboard. I'm not looking for gourmet when i go to buffet pizza places but I think they can do better. The salad bar was fairly fresh with lots of toppings available. The pizza was good, came out quickly and it was ok. Crust is ok, toppings as well and what seems like real cheese. Soda is the usual but at $8 a head it allowed the kids to eat their fill and leave them with a sense of being treated to eating out one night. We didn't go into the game room, no way no how. I come here annually for my niece's birthday parties. It's her favorite place. The staff always does such a great job making it her day and managing the birthday festivities. I enjoy gatti's pizza. There was another huge group when we were there and the staff did a great job keeping fresh pizza out despite all the hungry kids. I love playing the games but was disappointed when several of them kept taking my money and not giving me game play. Skee ball is a good example of this. Cost me almost $1.50 just to find a working machine before I could play. read more

Haven't been here in awhile and it's gone downhill. Kids running around like animals in the food area, people cutting in line and going against the flow of traffic at the salad bar. To be fair, people being rude isn't the restaurants fault. The salad bar was decent enough, but if you wanted pizza, forget about it. There wasn't any. It was Friday night, it wasn't super crowded, but they didn't have enough pizza out. The line at the two trays they had out was 6 deep. I saw one guy take an entire pizza on his plate. Go to this Gatti's for the kids and to fill up on average pizza. No offense Gatti's I only like little hole in the wall pizza places like you might find in NYC. Well this place sadly to say it has its ups and downs on the food being edible. I love this place, my family are regulars here and we continue to come here but sometimes the food really sucks and today was one of them. The tables continue to be clean and someone is always making rounds to pick up plates so its a good place and seems sanitary. The food itself wasn't exactly cooked hot ... like the cheese for the pizza wasn't melted all the way which is quite sad Today I got to see the go carts at least though usually when I go they don't have that side on. The plus side is that the layout and atmosphere is excellent with lots of dining areas to choose from, different TVs playing different things, their wifi is good, the video arcade is excellent as well, and they have quite nice bathroom facilities. But the negative side is that the pizza quality is subpar. The buffet selection doesn't have a lot of variety, and the cooks often don't keep it replenished as fast as people eat it, but the biggest thing is that the pizza itself is just not that tasty compared to other pizza places. They actually advertise "the best pizza in town", which I consider to be a bald faced lie. They aren't the best; they aren't even in the top 3. Maybe bottom 3 is more like it. I can't see how any objective person could say they are the best in town. But I'm generously giving them 3 stars because the building and atmosphere are such high quality. read more

Let's see... Where to start... Well, the Mac & Cheese is ok. When it comes to the pizza, the crust is too thick and bread like, the sauce is bland and barely there and variety appears to be a foreign word. The salad bar is ok, but the blue cheese dressing has no chunks. Then there's the game room. This is a loud space filled with, mostly, ticket dispensing games. The rest of the games are in a sorry state of disrepair and the cost of the games are outlandish. It cost $1.50 to play Guitar Hero on a badly calibrated machine. After a short time there, my wife and I really wanted a beer, but there was no alcohol to be found. Take your kids to D&B. Had to attend a party here recently. Contacted them a week in advance to inquire about gluten free options and was told that Gattiland offers no gluten free items. The company representative, Miriam, responded that, "We do not have Gluten Free pizza at our location, however we can make any pizza with no crust. You can also bring a gluten free pizza from our location by the movies 8 and you will have no problem with bringing that in to our location." Since I'm not a fan of crustless pizza, I made arraignments to bring a gf pizza from the location Mariam mentioned. On the day of the party, every staff member I encountered was rude about the gluten free GATTI'S pizza I brought in to the party. Staff acted like I was trying to steal from them because I was not paying for the buffet at their location. When I asked if I could purchase a drink and a salad (no pizza) they said "NO" - case closed, no option unless I buy the full buffet. This Gattiland is totally unwilling to accommodate patron's with food allergies and they are all extremely rude. Will NEVER return! read more

I usually LOVE Mr. Gattis pizza. The dinner began on a sour note.Pastas & pizzas were cold(as if they had been there awhile). Main issue : My older son came over to ask for money to purchase a game card (note he had just ate dinner with football team so he only ate a slice of pizza & a dessert but still paid). He came back & told me the guy up front refused to let him purchase a card because he said my son didn't pay. I went up front I told him I already had paid for him & I would like to purchase another game card. He mentioned he didn't pay. I told him I'm telling you (as a paid customer) I paid for 3 adults,a child, drinks,& 2 game cards. He still acted as if we were lying. That's when I told him I didn't steal his $10 old pizza. He's asked well who helped you,I responded a girl. He said well hold on let me go look for her. I was disgusted by his actions.He said well do you have a receipt I told him I should...I just would have to look for it. After searching I found it. He thoroughly reviews the receipt and questions me. You bought 2 adults & 2 kids buffets. I said NO!! I actually purchased 3 adult & 1 child buffet. He asked how much do you want on the card. I told him I will think about it grabbed my debit card. I asked for his name he told me it was JOSE (assuming that was his real name he didn't have a name tag). He asked if I wanted the spelling (smart @$$)? I told him NO I am capable of spelling. He still began to spell it out, I told him I CAN spell I do not you to spell it. Asked what his position was he said asst. manager. He definitely needs better customer service training. All we were attempting to do was waste more money at the location that employs him...but got rejected. I have been attending this location for years even though we do not reside in Round Rock. I have been to better Gattitown/lands, and Mr. Gatti's in general. This Round Rock can get packed and full of kids. With this type of establishment, that is to be expected. That said, they have a very hard time keeping pizzas coming during peak hours. There are always lines of people, and not enough food on the line. While the bus-staff worked very hard in keeping tables clean and ready, the areas around the soda machines and plates weren't so clean. This place can do better. read more

I've been going here more often, since I'm now retired and qualify for their senior discount. It's a zoo on weekends and any evening, so I usually try to go during a week day after the lunch rush. Given it's a buffet, but in general, the salad is fresh, the serving areas are pretty clean, and they usually have a decent variety of pizzas. I usually love a good Gatti's buffet and they are getting harder and harder to find but now I can see why. They had almost no fresh pizza when I went, but as the night when on I did notice they put a lot more fresh pizza out which was great. However, they never had any desserts out and the one time during the time I was there they refreshed that section, they only put out a small amount. The food was awesome and the games were all in working order. However, one of the girls working at the game counter was so rude, I nearly reached across the counter and slapped her. She interrupted my son mid-sentence (he is 6) while asking about one of the many overpriced toys hanging on the wall. She was rude and cut him off, only to tell me that I wasn't allowed to have drinks in the game room (mind you it was empty) and to say that when we FINALLY made a decision to ask for someone's help, before walking off in a huff. When she was asked by another employee to help us, she rolled her eyes the whole time and acted like helping us was going to end her life. I am normally a very nice person, but i couldn't be as she was killing my child's joy. I love Gattis pizza, always have. Something about the sauce. I love it more than Pizza Hut, and just a tab bit more than Papa Johns. I love the fact that they have a buffett with salad bar since my 9 year old daughter will actually eat salad (with ranch) with her pizza. We've taken our kids here once for a party but it's too much of a hassle with all the kids running around, mostly unsupervised, and sometimes bigger kids (uh hum, teens) pushing and trying to play some of the smaller games. I think they are trying to be like Chuck-E but I don't like my kids running around here because it's a seperate room, unlike Chuck-E where the dining room is situated where you can supervise your kids (somewhat at least.) Overall I like the pizza even if it has gotten a little more expensive since I was a kid and it was just Mr Gattis, in a small section of the shopping center. read more

Yes Gatti Land!!!! The name makes my mouth water. The salad bar is amazing, it always has those yummy little baby corns and sunflower seeds. I load up on cheese sticks like a fat kid. I love that if you ask them, they will make you whatever pizza you want. Such a fantastic deal for only $7 a person. We like to go on Thursday nights because we bypass all those "kid deal" days and there seems to be 1/2 the amount of kids on a Thursday night. We love 1/2 the kids because, like children, we always sit in the cartoon room and stuff our faces. My one request for Gatti Land...please cycle your movies more often in the kid's room. You know I'm not a huge Gattis pizza lover but I do love their salad bar. It's always fresh, very clean & very neat salad bar. I also love that they are the only place I know that still serves creamy Italian dressing. You can't even buy it at the grocery stores. So I like to come here every so often during lunch to get my creamy Italian fix on! I like coming during weekday lunches when all the loud wild kid parties are not going on. I recently started going here every other month or so and every time I go the food and the staff is very good. On my most recent trip I saw they were having a contest for giveaways of an iPad, games, coupons, etc. I registered not expecting to win but sure enough I won the IPad, Gattis contacted me and I received it within a week of notification. I live in central austin and I had a coupon to gatti-land, so we drove 16 miles to get there. Totally worth the drive! Thanks to Mike, who is possibly a manager, we had the best time ever. We received more attention from the staff than I get from a waiter at an expensive restaurant. It also happened to be half priced game night, so after my kids stuffed themselves on delicious pizza, they got to play games for 12 cents per play. The worst part was that it took so long to spend 5 dollars. By the way, how do they profit at all after putting so much cheese on the pizza?? It's so good! Lots of food available. Very crowded but comfortable. Pizza is awful. The dough tends to be raw on the thick crust and the thin crust. I have never had a nice crunchy crust on the pizza. I have tried both double Dave's pizza buffet and then also been to Chucky's and I have to say the buffet rocks, and the games may not be as fancy as Chucky's but my daughter loves it, and that is all that matters. As in any place where there are the buffet herds that move from one buffet place to the other, there are plenty of rude adults who seem to be on the last feeding of their life and hoard pizza, and of course to be expected.....kids that have no manners, (who would of thought).....so don't expect the crowds to be respectful. I dare say that people don't wash very well before they eat, but that is anywhere you go. So as I was saying, the pizza is great, and the tables, are usually very clean. Great staff, even though most of them can not speak English, and if your not done, be careful they will clean your table off fast, and remember they don't speak English well, so they wont understand what your saying to them as they take your drinks and plate's who cares, its a buffet full of pizza, no harm. At least they clean the tables, unlike some places.... Short story, get stuffed with good food and play games for half the price of visiting chuck-e-cheezes...And you dont get ran over by people going to the buffet line like at double daves on buffet night. And I have learned that its best to go on Thursday nights, I pay the extra for less people, hotter pizza, more variety...and sure...less kids, but I have 2 myself. Mom's eat free and kids eat free nights are cool, but every mom and kid in Round Rock show up...I kid you not. And if 8 buses of kids show up...turn around my friend, they will break the ovens and there will be no pizza. My daughter loves the place..and the buffalo pizza with blue cheese rocks!! Because of buffet price we dont go often anymore but when we want a late fun night this is the place to go, I also hear they just renovated it and added a bowling ally!
