There's axe throwing , bumper cars, a go-kart course surrounded by dinosaurs, plenty of pinball machines, laser tag, VR arenas featuring 3D simulator attractions, and a 3D XD Dark Ride Adventure Theater that seats eight people. The pinball machines are typically $1 or more per game, while the classic arcade games are just 50 cents each! I was especially in awe of the incredible pinball machines, including The X-Files, John Wick, Aerosmith, South Park, and more. My family was going there weekly which is quite expensive but was great when they were having fun. My 4 years old has not wanted to go for a bit since he was yelled at twice in one visit for bringing his sippy cup in which really made him uncomfortable. We were in the process of leaving the second time. Every time we would go, multiple games wouldn't work but it's part of the pinballz experience and we just wrote it off as no big deal but the losses do pile up. I was there today and it was busy and more than half of the games didn't work. When they did work; they had glitches. I found an employee which is tough and they saw what I was saying and apologized and said to go to the counter and they can credit me back. The woman at the counter wasn't as nice and told me she wouldn't be crediting me back for games that didn't work and said it with a huge attitude. The way people treat people there is wild. I've literally spent thousands of dollars and when telling them I was having issues with 5 games and would like to be credited back for the games that didn't work; they seemed to take satisfaction in telling me no. I won't be back and no one there cares. Broken games and counter people with superiority complexes aren't a great match but they will still make their money. Place has changed for the worst. Bartender was nice and drinks were good. However, not all the games were not in working condition. Some you pay a quarter or two to play, others you needed a card. If you were even lucky that the game wasn't out of order. Then there was one that the controller only worked part of the time. That goes for the bathroom too. Not in working condition..... This is a huge arcade place for all ages - but I would say it craters more to 8+ years of age . The go cart is the most liked and wanted attraction here ! though the track is quit small but it's great for an indoor place. They have a good sized Laser tag - but younger kids like 5 and under would not like it as there vests are heavy not not for this age group . Lots of fun games - from racing to shooting to claw games ! Every one can have fun here . They have a small section that craters to under 5 age but I felt that was just ok . They have a mini bowling area also. They have a bar and food section inside and multiple rooms for hosting birthday / and or other parties ! Another visit to our closest place with alcohol. They had the carnival back in the parking lot but the whiskey bar was open. We did found out Brian, who was head of the whiskey bar and who we liked no longer worked there but the guy helping us was great. There were of course 2 or 3 games we tried that outright didn't work or broke while using them. On one we got help and she just said yea that happens on this game a lot, go to the front desk for a refund. The first desk had 1 person on the phone with a customer and a line forming so we just gave up. While we have fun with the games that work and the whiskey bar is always good, the broken games and the main bar really drag this place down. The rude woman who didn't help us was offset by the Whiskey bartender who I gave an extra star for. If this wasn't so close I am sure we would have stopped coming. read more

Went back for my second time and I still feel like the value of the place is pretty good if you just play arcade machines. That's avoiding laser tag, bowling, vr, and go karts. If you want to do that I'm sure it's fine but your money will go less far. Back to the machines, I tried to get the kids to avoid the call of the claw machines and there are still lots of fun pinball machines, Mario kart, Halo, and more. Most games are about $1.10-$2 a run. So with $50 that gets you 25-45 games which is a darn good night. There's usually drink specials and tvs you can check out giving the place a lively vibe. So if you want an arcade, I feel like your money goes pretty far here where other places transform to credit and your money disappears more quickly, go here and have some fun. Note: the classic games in the back are great for nostalgia but also are mostly on switch console now or roms. So if you just want to relive those days that will work here but if you want to save your credit on these that's a smart move too. read more

You can easily spend a few hours here playing different arcade games, go karting, laser tag, 7D rides, bumper cars and much more. You also collect tickets on arcade game wins that can be accumulated on your play card and redeemed for mini prizes later. There are some cute, slow moving merry go rounds for little ones, mini bowling for school age kids. We had a blast on the 7D ride experience with werewolves storyline was quite realistic and unexpectedly scary but SO fun!! Totally enjoyed knocking down those werewolves xD The best part is that everything is indoors so this is a great way to escape the hot summer days and have a good time. Today we had a small birthday party at pinballz- Lake creek. The boys really enjoyed themselves and our host Matt/Matthew, was great. He was very organized as to timing of everything to make sure we got a chance to do all the activities we opted in for. He was quick and responsive to the kids and the requests we had. Pizza was average. Large selection of games and activities indoors for the kids. What stood out to me most was the patience and kindness of the employee who was at the prize counter, Chaz. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning in the future. read more

What didn't go well here. I mean this place has everything. It's actually kind of overwhelming when you first go in there because of all the different types of activities and my kids and my husband and I went bonkers so my son is a little too short. He didn't get to go on the go-karts but my husband and my daughter came back another day to do that and they had a really great time. The kids also really love the laser maze, although it's a very quick experience. It is fun though because you can see them going through there and they enjoy themselves. All of us played laser tag with another group and it was a lot of fun. We all got very competitive and it's a really big area. Lots of places to hide people weren't acting too silly. The 4D ride was also really fun and you get to pick through a lot of different options depending on how scary you want it. I think we went with the Western theme one which was enjoyable for all of us. The food was also pretty decent. I have no complaints. I ended up getting a drink that had a whole buzz ball in it so that did me right. It also looked like the VR room was a lot of fun. We didn't check that out but we got to see people doing their thing over there. They also didn't get to try the bumper cars cuz they were going through maintenance but that looked fun. The games overall were also pretty good and I think that for how much you have to pay it is a good value and when we went it was a little bit earlier so it wasn't too crazy or crowded. So we were able to kind of enjoy everything without having to deal with waiting in lines or are people getting disgruntled. I do want to check out the one that's down in San Marcos because that one looks even bigger and the original pinballz of course is always great. read more

We visited Pinballz Lake Creek on September 20, 2025 to celebrate my son's 14th birthday w/ his friends. We ordered food and began playing, but the Wi-Fi went down for over an hour. Because of this, the kids couldn't continue playing their games or redeem points for prizes... my son had over 4,000 points saved up for a prize and the celebration we planned ended in disappointment. We eventually left empty handed after waiting with no resolution. On September 23, I submitted a support request through their website, which promises responses within 48 hours. I never received a reply. On September 26, I also called and left a voicemail, and still have not heard back. The games here are VERY expensive, with some costing as much as $6 for a single VR play (which we also purchased). For a place that charges premium prices and markets itself as a family-friendly entertainment venue, this level of customer service is truly disappointing. When technical issues shut down gameplay for paying guests and we have to wonder around waiting, doing nothing, there should be compensation or at the very least timely communication. Unfortunately, Pinballz failed on both, I've never experienced such low quality customer service. read more

We made it worse by getting tokens out of their machine, to my to learn that only a fraction of their games use them. Furthermore an excessive percentage of games seemed broken. The only reason I am giving them 2 instead of 1 is the service. The food taker was friendly and cheerful. This place is quite rundown and in desperate need of staffing. The day we went, we were told their axe throwing was under maintenance. We lost money on our Groupon because they did not let us use it but the next day they wrote to Groupon saying it was never under maintenance. I can only assume they were low on staffing but then they should've been upfront about it and let us use the credit for something else. The go karting is a joke - they don't charge their machines and refuse to allow full throttle. The track is in shambles with potholes. The kid running it has no consistency on each round - we did 4 and it varied from 2 laps to 5 laps. Felt like a complete waste of money. The VR experiences were also terrible - the headset was broken for one of them and they didn't tell us that before we paid for the round. And the video game machines were being misused - there was a group of kids pulling out those paper rings in the count of 20-30 each to gather enough points for the rewards store. The only cool aspect was the throwback pinball machines - if you're really into it, then plan to visit, else you could skip. read more

I've sauntered out to Pinballz for a few data dates and date nights with husband and it is just the funnest space for all ages and the Lake Creek spot is just Huge inside! They have go karts, the pinball machines, tons of arcade games, bowling and more to get alittle something for everyone. My favorites are the coin pushers and the ufo crane games. Addictive lol. Currently they are celebrating their 12 years of fun in this space and we've just now visited! So many people swing by and the Mikki's Tavern is just a blast for all that you can socialize with if trying to meet up in a group! Dinner can be done too in this have it all building! First of all, this place is humongous, with two bars (including a whiskey bar), axe throwing, bumper cars, go karts, laser tag, several 3D attractions, an enormous arcade, in addition to a classic arcade, and a casual restaurant. The high points for me were the classic arcade (three cheers for Burger Time!!), and I appreciated the selection of Maine Root sodas with free refills. The cost of this place is a little ridiculous, though. Game cards start at $50 (to which they "generously" give you a bonus $10) and you'll apply that money to games that average about $2.25 to $2.50 per play. That just seems so astronomically priced to me. Not to mention you'll pay another $8-$15 if you want to do any of the go karts or other attractions. A family could easily fritter away $200 not including food. Why not go to a theme park for the day? The exception, of course, is the old school arcade, which maybe is just where I belong. I've lived in Austin for over 10 years and she is the best bartender I've ever had. No others are as attentive, friendly and helpful as she has been. She'll also give real life recommendations on good drinks and food while I'm getting my Gamer life on. I have family coming to visit from out of state just so that I can take them to meet Nicole and to experience this location. Not just pinball- this place is a one stop shop for VR games, bar food, derby track, classic arcade, and more. But if all you want is pinball, they have you covered and a $20 card can keep you very happy for an hour or two. It is loud, and be sure to wash your hands, but there are plenty of bathrooms available. The menu looked pretty extensive for an arcade place and they have booths and sit down seating scattered around. They also seem to push a variety of fun events from trivia to amateur wrestling beyond just the standard arcade fun. I'd be a regular if I lived nearby. Plenty of parking at the strip mall and food options nearby if you want a variety. The staff were very helpful in deciding options and readily available to help with the games. read more

I've been visiting this location since they first opened, as I was working right on the other side of Lake Creek Pkwy when Pinballz first expanded north. I had been a regular at the Original location on 183 for a number of years, but having a place to relax right after work made this location my regular after-work haunt. I left that position in 2017 and disappeared for 6 years. Flash forward to 2023. I've finally crawled out of my virus paranoia cave and started to explore the area around the apartment I moved into at the end of 2021. And this Pinballz has expanded in a marvelous way. The number and quality of attractions has increased dramatically. Their game payment system has been set up to use a pre-funded card, which provides discounts on games after you've spent a certain amount of money with the card. Many of the games which would have historically spit tickets out just really then into your card's ticket balance. Plus, it turns out that you can pay for your food&bev tab with the same card and accrue points. And their food and beverage (particularly beverage) offerings today make their 2017 offering pale in comparison. Key to this change is the introduction of their Whiskey Bar, situated behind the go-kart track and restricted to individuals of a legal drinking age. Between the regular tap wall and the whiskey bar tap wall, they've got ~60 beers on tap at any time. If you want to get all the pro-level Untappd check-ins and beer experiences, this is a mandatory visit. At the same time, I could easily be accused and convincted of burying the lede. What keeps me coming back more than ANY other factor is the quality of bartending at their Whiskey Bar. My favorite bartender is this one guy, Doug, whose drink and music recommendations I have learned are worth trusting implicitly. There's another guy, (Mikah I think?) who is also top end, so don't go bogarting my favorite bartender when you roll up in. None of the bartenders are sub-par, but this dude is arms, heads, necks and legs above any of the other staff. He brings a custom drinks menu guide to work with him which he might share with you if you ask nicely enough. And you should ask, because the cocktails contained within take advantage of the plethora of liquors stocked within the bar to offer up some niche drinks which 95+% of the bars in Austin wouldn't be able to make and which you'd be shelling out upwards of $120 to source the ingredients so that you could make it at home. Now, granted, if you're in this area looking for craft cocktails, Prohibition is a short ride. However, if you're like me and appreciate creativity in an environment that's lacking in all the tools available at Prohibition and priced much lower than the Prohibition premium, this is my first choice. An Aperol Spritz, for example, costs 2/3 of what Prohibition charges if you order one at Pinballz. read more

My kiddo enjoyed his first time bowling. They were fast at getting us a lane luckily. The stuffed animal game in their arcade is a total ripoff so don't try it! Pokemon Day was a blast! My only complaint was that they advertised that a pokemon go quest were to be completed and we would get an extra $10 towards gameplay. Instead, it was a specific one from a few weeks ago. We told the front desk person that we were deaf and to please speak louder or write since we couldnt hear him. I even had to show him my hearing aid since he didnt believe me!! He decided to stay the same and treat us rudely. Every time we asked a question about the raffle, changing his speech, or clarification, he continued to treat us like we were stupid. Next time we'll ask for a manager or another employee if we see him again. He is not deaf friendly whatsoever. If none of that happens, we'll just leave. The rest of the arcade was fun! We enjoyed all of the games and all the other employees. They were very accommodating and listened to our requests. The food was pretty decent and the drink was yummy! Go karting shouldn't be an option at this place. For one reason the track is way too small to have 10 people on it at once. It also doesn't help when said people are going extremely fast and not heeding the warnings of not to bump into people. This ultimately ends with people crashing into other people or the track. Please invest in another attraction other than go karting since you obviously can't operate it professionally and people don't always drive responsibly. read more
