Staff was very helpful and nice! We visited right at opening so there wasn't many patrons there at first. By the time we left it was beginning to get crowded. The restaurant has a very intimate atmosphere with modern decor. Very chic. Our food was served to use hot and freshly made. This is an Argentinian restaurant. Our skirt steak was moist and tender accompanied by some of the best chimichurri I've ever had. The menu is in Spanish and I am so blessed to have my husband with me. Definitely recommend. read more

This is a very good steakhouse. Food and service are tops. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but it is spacious. There are a few TVs to watch sports. The wine list is good but I for me the beer selection isn't. No craft beer. As many have mentioned, the churrasco is delicious, but so are the asado de tira (short ribs) and the bife de chorizo (ribeye). I also like the chorizos. I've heard good things about the pasta but haven't tried it yet. The other day I went with my wife and son. We had the Parrillada Gauchos. It is an assortment of meats: churrasco, short ribs, chorizos, mollejas (gizzards), morcillas (blood sausage), and kidneys. I liked everything except for the gizzards. I like stewed chicken gizzards because they are wet and softer. These were dry and tough. For dessert we had churros. They were fresh, nice and crunchy. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

We live nearby and pass by it almost everyday. The last time I was here was over 10 years ago with some friends. Finally, we returned for a late lunch on Saturday. We practically had the place to ourselves. Our server was very nice. He brought out the bread. It came with some chimichurri sauce and a tomato sauce for spreading on the bread. The bread was so good. I haven't had bread that good at a restaurant in a while. I asked if it was made in house. It wasn't but it was their recipe. My son loved it with butter. We ordered the parrillada "gaucho". Even though it is labeled as for two people, I thought it has plenty of meat, enough for 3-4. I guess it depends on how much meat you can eat in one sitting. We couldn't finish it. We took it home and finished if for dinner tonight. For dessert we got the churros. They were excellent, although I thought they sprinkled too much sugar on them. We just took the excess off. As we left, it started pouring. The valet guy escorted us to our car with umbrellas. Overall, the food and service were great. read more

We are steak experts (self appointed 8 year old and my Dad) and we know that Gaucho is a 5 star restuarant for many reasons. 1. The speed of service was very fast and the expierence was good while I was playing games on my iPad. 2. The taste of the churrasco steak was excellent - so much so that I'd rather continue coming to this restaurant than receiving three Christmas presents from Santa. 3. The ambiance is wonderful as first we noticed the decor from Argentina with a nice touch of having flags from around the world displayed. 4. The price is a bit pricier, but was worth it as I had amazing leftovers the next two days at school. My updated Favorite restaurants of Puerto Rico are: 1. Asao Steakhouse (Cidra, PR) 2. One shouldn't normally aim to eat steak two nights in a row, but after a mediocre experience at Ruth's Chris (for $200 for two), I wanted to be redeemed. I'm so glad we came here! Less than half the price and more than twice as good. I guess I just prefer the Argentinian style to the American style. It's not that I can't appreciate a good filet mignon with its buttery texture, it's just that the much meatier churrasco with delicious chimichurri kicks it's butt up and down the table! New modern looking restaurant with classic Argentine style steak and fish. Great place in Hota Rey area on Roosevelt street. Had the skirt steak (churasco). Cooked to perfection. The best I've had in Puerto Rico. If you want a nice ambiance with classic food, this is the place to come. read more

i had the meat sampler (skirt steak, veal, chicken) and a side of beans and steamed vegetables. the meat was very tender and flavorful. modern flair and a warm ambiance. most of the customers were couples having romantic dinners with botteled wine service. i guess men bring their ladies here to impress. it is a bit pricey, especially for a place in puerto rico, but a nice alternative to the inescapable puerto rican cuisine. read more

My wife had the fish mero with salad and my girls had chicken milanesa and the other one skirt steak with tostones. Excellent food and service. Very satisfied. The churrasco, chorizos and tira asada are excellent. The provoleta is really "a la provenzal".
