I'm giving this store 3stars because of the prices. Some items are reasonable others are outrageous. So if i could of given 2.5 stars i would. But I rounded up because i really like the butcher shop located in the back of the store. The prices are good and so is the selection. This store is located in a urban area so they have many items that you won't find at a Safeway bc they specifically cater to the black and hispanic community. There is a Krispy Krunchy located inside, as well as a hot food lunch counter. The store isn't very big. They do have many items that you won't find at larger grocery chains but I don't feel like they can really compete overall. This is a great place for fresh meat and one off items, but much too expensive to grocery shop.

The beef roast I just bought today. The dates are incorrect but everything else is correct.

I don't know if it's due to hyperinflation or what but today I purchased a beef roast that cost me almost $30. That price was a bit too high especially for the size and I should've just left the store and made something else for dinner. Considering to SES in the community the asking prices are like robbing the community. Despite the prices the organization of the store is neat.

I know it's been awhile since I did a review but after this culinary experience from Gazalli's made me go "WOW"!!! I just had to post it. Great local, community family establishment and they employ others from the neighborhood that they serve and very reasonably priced other than the items they have on sale. You can not only grocery shop, but select almost any kind of ready made food from their great food court to take home or to the park or party. Clearly a one stop shop from groceries to a food court and all in between. Fried Chicken, pizza, Ribs, steak and chicken fries, and a bakery. I had a get together with a few of my buddies and was wondering how I was going to get all their favorite foods ready to eat. Would of had more pictures, but some of the plates where almost finished before I could remember to take photos. That's good the food was. I just hope after this review I won't have to wait longer in line from a flood new customers they get who want to take advantage of the same great food and shopping experience I had and continually look forward to.

The only reason why I say I would "maybe "recommend this store is because it's the only grocery store in the vicinity for most of the people in the area. The problem with that is because of that fact, they definitely capitalize on it and offer over priced items. Definitely capitalistic, which is common in our country, but definitely morally wrong. It's an area where a lot of people may not have cars to get to other grocery stores so they have to settle for what's available. The pictures that are being shared are from the Food Court area. Definitely. It has great food. I love their chicken. Caesar salad. I do love their burrito bowls. The pizza is pretty good. For $5 you can get a slice and a drink and just asked him to cut that one slice in a half. Can't really beat that.

Rude employees who made me feel unwelcome

Over priced and their staff is rude. They treat black customers like they are invisible until it's time to take their money.

    Meat left out..

Meat market is horrible. The meat looks old. The staff seems unconcerned about the health and wellness of the community.. Major reasons why we remain sick and have health issues. I even saw meat that was sitting out all day it has flys on it.. Why do we keep these horrible places in our community. We have the ability to speak up and shut this meat market down and replace it with one that cares..

Expired food. It's March of 2022.

Sells heavily expired food. Ordered through door dash so it's not like I can return it or anything. Fucking nasty.

Over priced a** groceries, it's sad to see because the people in this area really don't have many options.. it's hard to get on the bus just to go grocery shopping somewhere else then get back on the bus with a bunch of groceries and have to walk blocks to your home with tons of bags The meat market in the back has a lot of stuff but i often wonder how fresh or clean the meat is. Some of my favs from this section are the party wings, guac, salsa, and ceviche. Sometimes they have good deals on meat packs for 40 to 80 dollars depending on what you want The food court had okay items.. the chicken is alllllways flavorless but thats just my opinion. I had the chicken hoagie.. bland! Had to add BBQ sauce, I've also had the chicken cheese fries, which would be way better if the chicken had more seasoning

The prices are reasonable, and there are some good sales too. I was able to find vegan Mochi in many different flavors including matcha and mango. I purchased the matcha flavored ones and they really brought me back to my mochi childhood memories. Along with other satisfying products, I purchased their freshly made veggie spring rolls that include layered thinly sliced avocado, shredded carrots, lettuce and cucumber. The sauce that comes with it is sweet-chili flavored, and all the ingredients for everything are simple. The presentation is nice, and the rolls are well-held together. I don't need to worry about anything falling out, so it makes this a good snack/meal for on the go. Finally, the customer service is exceptional. I felt welcome, and the place had an overall friendly atmosphere. After a day full of anxiety, it was nice to have it calm down in this grocery shop lol. I went in one night to buy a couple things. I even asked the cashier to help me find the items in the store that I was going to buy because I couldn't find them. when we're at the check out counter, he asks me if he can look inside my bag to make I sure I didn't steal anything. I ask him if he is serious. he says yes. I kindly tell him that yes he can check my bag, but that once he does he will lose a customer because I don't support businesses that racially profile customers. he says he's not racist and then proceeds to tell me stories about people stealing. I assure him I'm not a thief and that I don't care about his reasoning. if he has an issue with customers coming into the store with bags (I had 1) he should ask everyone (not only Black customers) to leave their bag at the counter while shopping. I would have left my bag at the counter without a problem if he had asked. but, again, I let him know he has my permission to look inside my bag. but that once he did, he would lose a customer. he did check my bag and got a look at my takeout box from the Korean fried chicken spot. What I was gonna buy at Nature's grocery story that evening I left on the counter and I haven't been back since. during my interaction with the cashier, a white woman walked in and shopped.q I imagine that she had no problems not if every customer is not asked to show their bags or leave their bag at the counter, it's a shame because its a block or so away from my apartment and I love the idea of supporting a mom and pop's business, but I don't support racial profiling. it happened to me, so I know other Black people have gone through it at Nature's and it's unacceptable.

But there's a reason for my continued patronage at this store: it slashes my grocery budget by at least 50 percent, if not more. It makes a big difference during these inflationary times. I used to stick with packaged goods, but in more recent years I've also been getting as much produce as possible at this GO. It's quite a bit less than at the other grocery store I often frequent, a family-run business in the Dimond district. It's not hard to find quality produce here, and they have a respectable amount of organics. The one thing that keeps me from giving this store a full five stars is the fact that they allow signature gatherers to set up shop by the front door, and these people thrust their their damn clipboards and pens in your face when you try to walk in. Today, when I politely declined to fork over my signature, the woman told me, "You should try to give a hoot about this," which was quite annoying. In any case, I go to Grocery Outlet to do my shopping, not to debate ballot initiatives with people I do not know, and certainly not to be shamed by them when I don't give them what they want. I really, really wish the GO would not allow these signature gatherers to harass their customers, who are not there to engage in political discussions.
