They we're having a sale when I was there and all dresses were 20% off. I bought three dresses and already have worn them several times. I see most of the negative reviews about the shop are from sellers. That is a different category from customer reviews. As a customer I always have been delighted about my experience there. The shopping center is a little ways out of town but it is not too far and fairly easy to find. BTW they specialize in the Eileen Fisher brand, which always is very good quality and the items seem to stay in style. I can't wait to go back to Linden!!

After meeting the owner Connie at our club, my husband and I thought we would pop into her store. Whilst browsing, we saw a small green purse on a display. Seeing that we are golf fans and the Masters was a week away we decided to purchase said purse. The tag on the purse stated $128. I took it to the register, paid and went about my merry way. This is where the story starts! Approximately a week later, I receive a phone call from the store manager (I assume they scoured through our directory at the club to track me down) stating the item had been mis-marked and should have been $528 not $128 and DEMANDED I make up the difference immediately with a credit card over the phone!!! With purse already in hand and on my way to Honkey Tonk row in Nashville, I wasn't going to let such a bizarre and outrageous demand alter my weekend and whilst I felt some understanding as we all understand mistakes happen but that the purse was only worth $128 to me and not the $528, and it was being used currently on my trip so we would have to come to a solution after vacation. This is where bizarre event number 2 evolves. I decided, being a business owner myself, and feeling empathy for the perceived plight of the sales associate, I said why don't we split the difference and I'll pay cost for the rest. I felt this was a fair proposition and not to mention I have already used the purse at this point on my trip. To my surprise they stated they wouldn't be discounting the purse at all and that I needed to return the purse, USED!!!!! Now mind you it wasn't gently used at this point, my girlfriends and I hopped around Nashville for 3 days celebrating a bachelorette party. I thought she must be kidding and ended the call as clearly my compromise of paying cost was outside her authority. Lo and behold, Ten minutes later I receive a phone call from the owner, Connie. She doubles down and tells me that I should pay full price PERIOD or return the item to the store!!! Flabbergasted to say the least and shocked as never in my life could I have imagined a store owner request USED, receipted merchandise back! She then CAME TO MY HOUSE and picked up the purse!!!!!!! Needless to say, if you see a green purse in Talloni for sale, it's used (with a little honkey tonk love) and whatever you do don't give them your information unless you want a visit from Connie. I'm not sure if a business can get negative stars, but this experience certainly warrants its own classification.

So we stopped here on our way out to the national park. There were no hard sells, no baits and switches, just great customer service and knowledgeability. Kaleb asked if I was looking for anything specific. I explained to him the situation and he asked what shoes I wore at home and what I was looking to do while I was in NC (which are the perfect questions, in my opinion). I told him and he not only was aware of the brand but also the important factors of that particular "model". (I am severely "duck footed" and need a shoe so wide that it might as well be a clown shoe). He brought out a few shoes that also met those criteria. I was impressed by the options he brought out because clearly a lot of thought went into the selection. One was the brand/model I wear at home (but the only color they had in stock in my size was pure white). Another was an option that was more hiking-focused (since I had mentioned we would be walking through Pisgah). And another was similar to the brand/model I wore at home but a more neutral color (since an all-white shoe worn while hiking will quickly become not-white). I wound up going with the brand/model I wear at home (Altra Escalante) in white because the aesthetics aren't particularly important to me, and, I wanted something more all-purpose. But the fact that he had really considered what I would be using the shoes for and presented several great options was really impressive. And all in all, the entire experience from entering the store to checkout took less than 15 minutes. No long waits, no hard sells. And no markup either - same price as Amazon. So I was very happy that I was able to support a local store with such knowledgable and helpful staff

I have Type 2 diabetes and the peripheral neuropathy that is associated with it. Walking lately has been painful. Specifically, in the balls of my feet. My doctor had told me to visit them, so I did. Wow!! I am so very happy that I made this decision. Kaleb spent 90 minutes with me explaining what I was experiencing, watching me walk several times, and then trying on multiple shoes until we found the best ones. He taught me so much about my feet that I never knew, and how to take care of them. I now feel like I'm walking on air, and there's no more pain. I'm so extremely happy and pleased with this experience. I highly recommend Kaleb and the Pisgah Forest location!! Call to make an appointment.
