I asked soooo many questions and was met with honest suggestions, you could tell they aren't money hungry and care about their clients. They started with threading where she asked me how I typically like the shape to look (I'm never asked that, so I was shocked). Then, she made them thinner so the lamination would look natural. I have a sparse tail, so she advised me to get them tinted as well, but I chickened out lol (I'll get it tinted next time) Eventually, I decided I also wanted a lash lift just to try it out. She (I wish I remember her name) took me to the back room and explained every step she was doing with my lashes. The room was relaxing enough to the point where I fell asleep. The lash lift took an hour, then she began laminating my brows . After the treatment, she gave me the do's and don'ts for maintenance. I will be going back for my 5-week brow lamination refresh here on out! I'll never cheat on this place !!

It seems like the salon has a ton of regular clients, showing that they are trustworthy and provide consistently great service. The salon is neatly decorated and very clean, with a cozy seating area for while you wait. I got the shaping and tinting, and my brows look so natural and full. I feel like it brought my face back to life. Would definitely return here!

Most of the technicians seem to be new at this, they need an additional 30 mins at least to do the same refills and often hurts when taking off lashes. They don't seem to understand people can't respond within 30 mins when they need to reschedule you due technician booked is not available. Not everyone is free all day just to come for lash appt. Unfortunately some of us have a busy schedule, cant come during office hour or the following day or 2 with such short notice. Instead of asking my availability and try to accommodate, they asked if I was seeking to maintain the same refill price passing the time frame. Staff needs some serious communication training. This is such a turn off for a loyal customer. Ive been getting refills consistently for many years, I'm taking my business elsewhere after this experience.

I've had falsies that looked better than my results & will NEVER come back here again. I'll run through the main points: * My lashes ended up looking like they were chopped off at the ends, very unlike what I've seen on the advertised Instagram posts so I was VERY disappointed that I paid $186.00 for them! Just like when you get a haircut, there should be some technique to layering the lashes instead of making them look blunt and unflattering. When I brought this up to their IG account, they said "Monolid are difficult to work with, that's why" ... but isn't that what I'm trusting them to do? Especially after they've constantly advertised their expertise in "choosing the right style for your eye shape". * It was a very unwelcoming atmosphere, one of the lash techs quickly glanced at me when I walked in and there was no one at the front desk so it was completely silent. A simple "hello" would have been nice. I've never been there and this was my first time ever getting lash extensions. This was at their new Midtown East location on grand opening day too. * My lash tech (Lia) poked my right eye so many times it was watering non-stop. I brought this up to one of the workers there and he said it was because my "eyes are sensitive". No, it's not only about my eyes being sensitive because it was actually extremely painful, and only on one eye. Please use gentler hands! * Lia didn't take a photo of my lashes afterwards, even though the man on the phone said ALL of Wink Bar's employees are required to do so. I watched 2 clients who left before me get their photos taken. Was it because mine turned out poorly? I asked them about this over the phone afterwards and they said it was because Lia was "tired and must have forgot" and "she didn't eat lunch" that day... ok then maybe don't overwork your techs so they are fully attentive during the session and treat all customers equally! I took a bunch of videos too to show how unflattering they turned out. * They spoke to me in Chinese right off the bat, which threw me off because their Instagram account gives off a completely different vibe. I expressed that I was not the best at Chinese and responded mostly in English, and could honestly barely hear the lash tech talk to me because she was basically whispering. Plus, not every person who is Asian is able to speak/understand Chinese so I'm not sure if they do this to everyone. * I followed all of the instructions and care tips for my lashes, but ~40% of them fell out by day 4. It felt like an overall waste of money and time. I was really unsatisfied with the results especially after having my hopes up / being so excited to finally visit Wink Bar from across the country.

I just got charged a $115 cancellation fee after I left a voicemail canceling for an emergency. Nobody picked up after several tries and apparently nobody listened to the voicemail. That fee is the full cost of the service - not a deposit. As far as lash studios go, this is, by far, the most outrageous policy I've seen. Also, under NY law, a service provider may NOT charge the full cost of a service not provided. Businesses may only charge a percentage. I've disputed the charge. Re: the work - it's pretty good, but def not worth the cost. There are far less expensive alternatives for lashes in the city that are just as good.

Logistics first, since that's what most people want to know: Dinara is responsive, communicates clearly, and her instructions/website are thorough and straightforward. Her office is clean, beautiful, and comfortable. She has wonderful bedside manner -- warm, considerate, and clearly very knowledgeable. I've tried a lot of facials, massages, and laser hair removal at various places over the years, including buccal massage a few times, but nothing stuck until I found Dinara. Her treatment was unlike anything I've had before. She talks you through everything up front and throughout, checks in constantly, and clearly knows facial anatomy, skin, and the body inside and out. Her technique is intentional but gentle, with moves I'd genuinely never experienced. When I saw my face afterward, I couldn't believe it -- I looked 10 years younger. I'd assumed the droopiness and wrinkles were just an inevitable part of aging. Turns out, not to the degree I thought. I felt like myself again, looking back at me in the mirror. That alone impressed me, not going to lie. I airdropped my nail inspo to Noza, picked my color and we were in business. It came out perfect. If you pay cash, you don't get taxed which was nice. They also asked me if I wanted tea or coffee mid manicure and made me a cup of black tea which I needed because I hadn't had my daily dose of caffeine yet. It's a spacious salon with very cute decor.
