Our family of four has been hard on them, with lots of scratches and dullness, and they looked brand new, actually better than brand new. In certain light, they are so shiny, they look liquid. Hugo and his contractor brother Carlos carefully removed and replaced all fixtures so that everything could be cleaned and buffed. He has decades of experience with solid surfaces and knows everything about them. Highly recommend him. The only drawback is now they look so good, I don't want to cook and mess them up!

I also must say that I am a mechanical contractor myself and pay very close attention to the type of service that other companies give me. I asked some questions but they never got back to me. So I called Prestine. I was set up with Jeff on an initial consultation where he explained the process in detail. O like what I was told and ask how long would I have to be scheduled. I needed time to clear up items that were on the garage floor. Once I got that completed I called Jeff to schedule my install. The entire process was smooth up until the install date. The crew for the install was 30 late. I asked what was going on and was told they were getting more supplies,. I have to admit that the idea of undertaking the stress of a remodeling project was not something I was looking forward to. But my master bathroom was in desperate need of a facelift, so I took a deep breath and plunged into the stressful task of searching for a fair and reliable tile contractor that could help me with my project. After a few unsuccessful estimates, I could feel the dreadfully anticipated frustration building up by the minute and as I told a friend about it she suggested I contact GD Tile and Stone. I called the same day to set up an appointment hoping to get something within the week and was absolutely delighted when Guy (owner/partner) rearranged his schedule and squeezed me in for that same day. Guy arrived at the house a few minutes early and after taking a few minutes to introduce his father John (owner/partner) and discussing my expectations and my concerns about the project, they both got to work with the measurements. Two days later I had a written estimate in my hands. The price was fair, (definitely lower then some of the previous estimates) and the estimated time of completion was much shorter than I'd anticipated. The following week work started, and during the two weeks GD Tile and Stone worked on my master bathroom I had no choice but noticing the professionalism and knowledge of their staff. I wasn't very knowledgeable myself about construction when we first started, (and I'm still no expert) but I knew what I wanted and I had a lot of questions. John and Guy were always there answering every question and every call with tact and professionalism. But what really put GD Tile and Stone on a pedestal for me was when I expressed my concern about what kind of material to use and not only they helped me figure out what best suited my needs and taste, but when I asked Guy to accompany me to the showroom he did not hesitate for a second. My master bathroom is now beautiful. It is the place where I love to unwind after a long day of work. Thank you GD Tile and Stone! You guys went above and behind my expectations and my needs and I will definitely use you guys again for all my tile and stone projects. We were interested in refreshing our…read morefireplace in our modern home and had always dreamed of having a black marble fireplace instead of just white drywall. I Yelped and found Del Mar Tile and Stone and checked out photos and crossreferenced everything. He had stellar reviews everywhere. John the owner came out within a day or two (on a Sunday!) to look at the project and gave me a quote the next day. The project involved tiling on the fireplace surround and also into a cutout for our TV and the vent for the fireplace above. The quote was fair for the amount of work involved and I thought, hey if he's already there maybe get him to re-do tile in one of our bathrooms (a much smaller project)? I texted him a video and measurements of the space prior to him working on the space and he was able to quote the bathroom without coming back! Super cool. The quality of work is amazing. I am a detail-oriented, visual person and with the beautiful black marble with white veining that we chose (with a fluted pattern!) I wanted to be particular with what tiles we should use and which we should not. He was more than accommodating and we have a beautiful, beautiful fireplace now and a gorgeous bathroom. Not everybody could do this job. It was technical as a fireplace surround. The tile contractor had to use the right mortar and he had to level it out just right. As we homeowners know, rarely is your house completely true and flat and square everywhere and the tile had to be done to accommodate all of the imperfections in our visually perfect house. The corners and leveling had to be perfect. He had to carve into drywall to make the corner of the fireplace square. It was crazy and it would have taken me decades of experience to do this myself (enter John). The cutouts for the fireplace and the TV surround had to be perfect. The bathroom turned out flawless as well. John is an awesome person and was so kind and courteous to our pets (he told my dog Thatcher she was beautiful) and was respectful of other contractors we were having at the house at the same time. His son Hunter and his other employee Carlos who worked with him were conscientious, clean, and all three were just all around good people. Please see photos! They do not do the fireplace justice!

Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

The team was experienced and responsive. Leanne, Ilan's assistant, communicated with us throughout the project. We were given an estimate of 6 weeks and it took about 8.5 weeks, which is reasonable. Overall, we had no issues and are very satisfied with the final work.

His team…read moreactually completed the work updating the 3 bathroom sinks and countertops and a shower encloser while we were away on vacation. And the house was clean and new when we came back. I was updated with pictures throughout the process. We had a hiccup with low water pressure when we came back, but Guy came out to personally take care of it, so it was resolved quickly (stop valve had not been fully opened). I wouldn't hesitate to come back to them for any future remodeling.

He gave me some sample books to take home and I picked something out after a couple of days. I placed an order for my carpet over the phone and they got it ordered right away. Shortly after it came in, they called and asked if they could install it on a Saturday. I said "sure". Their guys showed up, moved my furniture out of the way, and got to installing the new carpet. They did a nice professional job, and hauled away the old carpet for recycling. Very straightforward process throughout. The price was better than I expected for a high quality brand of carpet too.
