Had a great experience with Josh, he showed up with his mask on maintained safe distances while he worked. I called and within a few hours our garage was working like new. He replaced our garage door wheels and secured the lining of the garage. The garage was set to the right speed because unbeknownst to us our motor was working way too hard when it didn't have to be working that hard. Everything was done in about 30 minutes. WOW! Exceptional service. My garage door had been struggling for the last couple years. Pops, cracks, when operation etc. Finally, my spring snapped. Fortunately, I was referred to GDI by a friend. They offered to dispatch a technician the very next day! Jose arrived on time and worked hard to replace my spring and make other recommendations to ensure my garage door would function trouble free for years to come. I ended up deciding to replace my entire motor as the the existing unit was 14 years old. Jose was excellent, in that he never pressured me to spend more, but he also took his time to answer all my questions about the pros and cons of upgrading. No-show from the technician, no call or text from the company. Later received what they describe as a "courtesy call" where I was told their technician was stuck on a job, and that's why they never showed up. That's understandable, it happens. But what's the point of calling me to let me know after-the-fact that the reason they've missed the appointment is because they're running late? read more

Our garage door motor and springs broke and we called GDI Garage Doors out to give us an estimate. After John evaluated our repairs needed he gave us a quote. We told him we wanted to get another quote before we made a decision, but John told us they would price match any other quote we got for the same level of repairs, so we might as well just get the job done. We went ahead and did the work with GDI based on this price match guarantee and then got a second quote for about $500 less. When we submitted the other quote to get a partial refund we were told at first that they don't price match after work is completed. After working through the miscommunication with Devon, he was very professional and apologized for the miscommunication and even though they don't price match after the work is completed he agreed to give us the $500 credit back to us. They could have told us "too bad", but they put the customer first and honored what we were originally told and did the right thing. Thank you Devon. read more

Call this company to come out to fix my garage door yesterday after using them earlier this year. They first fixed my garage 1/14/19 replaced my springs, full tune up and told us we had warranty. They came out today and quoted me an outrageous price to fix a broken torsion tube that was sheared off by a wrong size homemade spring pad that they replaced originally. When asked about the warranty the technician then dropped his price and explained that he can fix the garage door but if required new parts we would have to pay for the new parts and his labor. Don't understand were there warranty stands but will never use this company again. read more

This place has awful customer service. Mainly the guy who answers the phone and does the scheduling. He wouldn't give me his name but anyways they are not reliable they scheduled 2 appointments with and the first time I called they made up some excuse they had wrong number for me and apologized and I was like ok. Then they said they said they would send someone out right away and 3 hours later no one showed up so I called again and they said they don't see a second conversation with me which I stated of coarse not I called when you didn't come the first time and you set the appointment and would have someone on way, he just kept saying yeah I don't see a second conversation. GDI Garage does give FREE estimates on all work related to garage doors. They are opened 7 days a week and they also do after hours emergency calls to work on garage doors. The cost does go up after 5pm emergency calls to cover the cost of the person repairing your garage door. I called GDI Garage on Sunday afternoon to schedule an appointment to have them give me a free estimate on replacing the weather stripping on my garage door. I did like receiving a text letting me know that David was on his way and to reply back just to make sure I received the text. David was great explaining that the weather stripping on my garage is no longer being made. I made an appointment for the next day to have David make the necessary repairs. He is very professional and did an excellent job. I would recommend GDI Garage to anyone who needs their garage door. read more

The owners of our house hired this company to put in a new garage door. The install went smooth but as they were leaving the door failed to work with one of our transponders. They said it was just a motion detector and adjusted it. Seemed fine. Two days later, 10:30 at night, we open the garage door and it won't close. It's completely blocked by a large screw jutting into the track. We can't remove it to close the door without compromising the entire track, it seems as if that screw is holding it up! We called the emergency #, no answer, left a detailed message and asked for immediate help. To this day, 5 days later, we have still never heard back from them. Our leasing agent was then called, they called in the garage door co. they normally would use and those guys were out in 15 minutes. Couldn't believe how poorly this door was installed and fixed everything on the spot. Even took photos of the shoddy work to show the leasing company. read more
