Absolutely terrible experience. Do not order from this place. Dec 30 - order placed Dec 31 - order status changed to Awaiting Fulfillment Jan 6 - order status changed to Awaiting Shipping Jan 9 - email inquiry, no response Jan 11 - email inquiry, no response Jan 15 - chat inquiry, finally got response that item was back-ordered even though it said in stock on their web site Jan 17 - order status changed to Shipped I thought this was the end of it until I checked the FedEx tracking number and it's shipping to my billing address instead of shipping address! I pointed out this mistake and Mark V's response was "it is our company policy, that we have to ship it to the Billing address if the addresses are different." That's ridiculous and makes no sense - why even ask for a separate shipping address?! So it's now been almost 3 weeks and I won't be able to receive the package since I recently moved. Great prices and personal service! I recently purchased a DDJ 1000 SRT from them along with a Magma Flight Case and Gator soft case. Luis took care of me with personal service and ensured I received a great price. I have worked with Luis for YEARS and he has always operated with integrity and fairness. I am very surprised about the negative reviews. He even went above and beyond for me when dealing with Pioneer with the DDJ SX3 recall. They returned my unit BROKEN. Pioneer merely wanted me to go to a repair facility after they had my unit for over 3 weeks for the recall and returned it inoperable. Luis was able to get me a new unit. Thank you Luis. I discussed an alternate product with the salesperson and decided to go with the alternate product. I was charged for BOTH the cancelled order and the alternate order. Tried to bait and switch. Like many others have said, they sell and charge you for things they don't actually have. Then after you've paid, they try to get you to buy an alternative more expensive item. That's a classic bait and switch and is illegal. I placed an order and three days later it wasn't processed, so I called them. After 20 minutes on the phone, I was told they don't actually have that item (even though they already charged me) and then asked if I wanted to buy an alternative at three times the price. On December 29th I placed an order expecting that the order would not process until after the Holiday. The 29th was a Friday​ and the following Monday was New Years Day, so I'm thinking realistically the credit card order would go through immediately and they will fill the order on Tuesday when they are all back at work. Tuesday evening I checked to see if the order status had changed and it still said "awaiting payment". I tried using their online chat client via their website to resolve the issue and every time​ I started a dialogue​ with them it would close and I would lose any progress I was making. I also tried sending emails to them using the account email portal on their website, but never head anything back that way either. On Wednesday, five days after I ordered, ​I called and spoke with Ronnie, who told me that the credit card transaction hadn't gone through yet because​ of the holiday. This is crazy because e-commerce software doesn't take holidays, it's software. Billions of credit card transactions are processed day and night, 365 days a year, but that was their excuse. So Ronnie assured me that the order was being processed right now and they were getting it off to me the following day. Fast forward to Monday, Jan. 8. It has now been nine days since I ordered. I am expecting that my mics will arrive today, surprised they didn't arrive Saturday so I log in to check the status on the website hoping to see my tracking number and I see that my order status is "awaiting shipment​". Even though the credit card was processed on Wednesday of the previous week, the microphones still had not been shipped. I called Gear Club Direct again and spoke with Fidel. After explaining my situation and how frustrated I am (I have recording projects waiting on these mics) he told me he would look into it and put me on hold. Fidel told me that the mics were not in stock and they never actually had them in stock and they are ordering them from a wholesaler​ and would have them drop-shipped to me. He couldn't tell me why the order hadn't already been placed and he couldn't tell me where the microphones would be coming from, only that somebody somewhere was "closed" and "hadn't shipped them yet". He assured me they were going to ship out to me that same day ​and promised to email me with the tracking number. He never emailed me the tracking number so I called Gear Club Direct back the next day, and spoke with Fidel and told him that I never got the tracking number. He put me on hold again for a while​, then came back and told me that "the warehouse" was behind on shipping orders but that it was going out "today" and that he would call me back in a few minutes with the tracking number. I said thank you and headed to my studio and, of course, did not hear back from GCD at any point. Fast forward to today, Tuesday the 16th of January. I have still not received​ my mics. It has now been 17 FULL DAYS since I ordered my microphones from GCD. I logged on​ their website and was astonished to see my order status is still "awaiting shipment". I decided to call them, again, and speak with Fidel. Fidel, once again, told me that he had a tracking number finally and they shipped last week. I kept Fidel on the phone and put the tracking number into FedEx's website and it was not found. When I asked Fidel about it, he put me on hold then came back and told me that "they" were behind at "the warehouse" somewhere and that the microphones had not yet shipped, but that they were going out today. I got very upset and Fidel transferred me to the "sales manager" named Manny (I think). Manny finally told me that the microphones were actually at the store in Chicago, not at some warehouse in somewhere. He tried to put the blame on the "warehouse" that "accidentally" shipped the mics to them. He told me they had immediately shipped the mics to me and that FedEx already picked them up and he would be unable to offer me a refund. He assured me that they had already picked them up! It turns out this is a lie. As soon as FedEx picks up a package they always scan it. ALWAYS! This is how their business operates, there are no exceptions. I use FedEx all the time, and I always check the tracking numbers immediately to make sure it was properly accepting into their system. Once that package is scanned, the tracking number shows up! Manny lied, the tracking number is now (as of five minutes ago) showing up in the system, and it reads as having not yet been picked up. It will finally ship today when FedEx does go by to pick up the package, but the damage is done. Gear Club Direct and its employees are incompetent, dishonest and lazy. They will lie to you in order to avoid taking the blame for their mistakes and they will fail to follow through on their promises. Do not trust them. Do not spend your money with them. I placed an order online that they were getting in stock in mid-May- they were then able to ship within 2 days. I was initially impressed, then when the item arrived it was clearly a used product and visibly dirty. I was charged the new retail price, with a 10% "courtesy discount" expecting to receive a new item. I have reached out to Luis to resolve and will update my review when they respond. I am very disgusted with GEAR CLUB DIRECT!!!! I NEVER received (2 x ADJ Vizi Spot PRO Led) that I purchased on 11/29/2013. Then, I couldn't believe that the manager Luis Garcia wasn't going to honor the on-line order purchase I made to begin with and tried to switch the product on me without my knowledge for a different lower end model (ADJ Vizi Led Spot) that I did NOT purchase to begin with! Mr Garcia's excuse was that the webmaster had incorrectly priced the product I purchased on-line on Black Friday and would therefore not honor it. The worst part about it is that he tried to switch product on me that didn't have the features I needed (such as interchangeable gobos and 50W led bulb). Had I not carefully noticed the different model on the boxes to begin with, I would have accidentally walked out with the wrong product on 01/16/2014. I am even more upset that Mr Garcia had never mentioned previously that I would not be receiving the ACTUAL lights that I ordered, considering I called at least 3 times to check the status on my order and had spoken directly with him. I requested a FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY on 01/18/14 considering that Mr Garcia canceled my order promptly on 01/16/2014 because he was not going to honor my invoice that I had paid 6 weeks ago prior!! It's now FEBRUARY 10th 2014 and I still HAVEN'T received my REFUND!! My son ordered a DDJ-SB DDJ-SB Two-Channel DJ Controller on Jan 9. That same day, Adiran called him back to say the item was out of stock and wouldn't be in for a week or two. My son called back that day and cancelled the order - deciding to order it elsewhere where it was in stock. On JAN 13 the charge went through. A week+ went by, and no refund. My son called back to check on the status of his refund, and was told he should be receiving it soon. The next week - no refund. I (mum) called, spoke with Adrian, who let me know they had no record of my son initially canceling the order on the order date - that when my son called the week before they THEN cancelled the order, and that the item JUST returned to their warehouse after being re-routed back. I was dumbfounded as to why they shipped an item which was cancelled to begin with. They claimed they had no note of my son's phone call - even though I was sitting beside him during both calls. On Monday, Jan 27, Adrian informed me that his refund will go through, and he should have it in a day or two. LESS a $25 restocking fee. I was not pleased. On Friday, Jan 31, still no refund posted. I called on Saturday, but the one person managing the shop couldn't assist me. I rang Feb 3, and found that they posted his refund on FRIDAY - not Monday. A 5-day difference. Less the $25 restocking fee. Did not receive refund until Wednesday, Feb. 5. I do not recommend doing business with GCD. There are plenty of other sites to purchase equipment from where this situation would never occur, and the customer service level is infinitely higher. It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review but I have given this company (Gear Club Direct) many chances to fix my issue and they continued to drop the ball. Making me feel like i was a worthless customer and my business did not matter to them. Especially the one person I dealt with the whole time - Luis. I placed an order for a pair of monitor speakers and a laptop stand amongst a few other things back in June of 2020. I got one of the two speakers but fast forward until now (August 21) and I barely got my second speaker after me bugging them over and over and over where was my speaker and laptop. Luis would tell me that it was on its way. Then told me it was shipped to his warehouse. Then told me it was shipped to an old address of mine, like geez! Get your stuff together. I finally got the second speaker yesterday - August 20th! Really? So frustrating as I got the run-a-round from them. Now how about my laptop stand that I was told would come originally with the second speaker months later? Nothing! I have screen shots which I will share later showing the days and times that I have texted Luis asking about my laptop stand and no reply for days. I kept on bugging him waiting at least for another reply/excuse. Finally today he texts me a screen shot of the tracking number telling me it will be here today August 21. Guess what? Nothing came. I told him repeatedly, repeatedly that I needed that laptop stand for this Saturday August 22 for an event! Nothing was replied and I checked the tracking number out of curiosity and it says the laptop stand is going to arrive tomorrow but with a deadline of 8pm. Like really? I need that for an event that I start at 2pm. How in the world does this company stay in business? I am so mad at myself for trusting them. Please stay away from this company if you want some real equipment and expect it on time or when you pay for it. They have a warehouse but seems they have nothing in stock. They order it from the manufacturer and rely on them to ship the product which is very wrong. They are misleading the customer, telling them that they have everything in stock. We were searching for a Moog Sub 37 Tribute Edition for our son as a Holiday and Birthday gift. To my surprise this is a hot and hard to find item. Ordered a wireless bodypack microphone and receiver from their webpage. After several days of not seeing a shipping conformation I called the store and found out the item was back ordered. The item shipped a couple of days later, but the tracking number they sent me was wrong. After a three day search they were able to find the item and get me the tracking number, after almost a week after the item shipped, I received the wrong item. It took a couple of days to get the return label. They promised to send me the corrected item, but instead shipped the replacement back to the manufacturer. After over a week again I received the wrong item once again. Promising to fix the problem they insisted that the correct item was in the mail directly from the manufacturer and was being shipped expedited. After waiting a few days and not receiving a package, I called back to find out that the manufacturer no longer carries the item that I ordered. No phone calls, no communication, every time I call someone says they'll call me back and never do. I canceled the whole order and asked for a refund. I placed the original order on May 27, 2016. It is now July 14 and I still don't have a refund. This is the worst company I've ever done business with. Will be spreading the word to all other working musicians in my area. read more

I won some American Audio HP-550 Snow headphones from Club Direct on April 23rd and it's been 4 months and still have not received them. I even posted on their page on Facebook and seconds after they message me saying "looks like we overlooked your headphones. We'll get them out first thing in the morning. Our apologies" on June 8th. I'm reading the same story on here about this place. I ordered a speaker to replace one that had gone bad. i'm in the middle of wedding season. they called me to say they didn't have the one i ordered but would give me another similar product (next model up). i was in a bind so i unfortunately agreed. a week later it was still "awaiting shipment" and i needed something immediately. i could see that the item i wanted was on amazon prime and i could get it in a day or two. so i called to cancel my order. they told me that it "may" have been shipped and they'd have to call the warehouse and would call me back. of course they never called back. so then i called again. i was told again that they'd have to get a tracking number and see if it shipped. i said i just wanted to cancel the order. they said i'd have to wait for it to ship, pay for the shipping fees ,and then ship it back! but they wouldnt even check to see if it had shipped. a week later it still says awaiting shipment. i've sent emails, i've called and have had no assistance, and now based on what i''m seeing here it looks like i might not even get my money back?! the item is only $250 so i'm not going to be able to afford to take legal action of any kind, so i dont know what my recourse would be, just suffer the loss? i guess i can dispute the charge with my credit card company? read more

I bought some American DJ LED lights since my old Vertigo light just gets too hot with its 2 x 300 watt halogen bulbs. I knew what I wanted but couldn't find it on their site so Luis and I chatted and he had them. They were about 15% cheaper than a local retailer with no tax and free shipping. The lights were shipped direct from American DJ in LA and arrived in less than a week, by Fed-x. They were new units, in factory boxes, and well packaged. I hooked them up this morning and they work as expected, look great and are as bright as the Vertigo was, possibly brighter, without the heat. I almost didn't give them a 5 star rating because they were late sending an order confirmation. I had to call twice. In fact, the lights arrived before the email confirmation from Manny. (I needed the order confirmation to register the warranty with American DJ.) Later that day, I got snail mail and there was a copy of the order and a credit card receipt, in a hand-addressed envelope. I may need 1 or possibly 2 more lights and I will use them again.
