We had an absolutely glorious afternoon with Heather and Heath on their well-tuned and sized bikes, leisurely pedaling around downtown Dallas, stopping to see points of interest, appreciating the many gorgeous murals throughout the city, and discovering new parks and neighborhoods that we want to go back and explore more fully! Heather and Heath are lovely human beings, curious and engaging...though our ages and backgrounds differ greatly, they made it so comfortable and fun with their open and kind personalities. They focus on safety and on tailoring the ride to the desires of their customers and were open to switching things up to fit our interests. They adjusted quickly to our skill levels, and we are confident that they could meet the needs of any group. They supplied everything we needed, even ice-cold water. Additionally, their rates are reasonable enough that we could do any additional, more expansive tour with them if we were staying in town; we'd jump at the chance if we could! We do have the ability to customize the route depending on your needs & abilities. We can rent you one of our own bicycles on request. These will be a mountain bike or a hybrid bike (these are the best types of bikes for Dallas streets). Cycling provides us a way to social distance & be outdoors. Equipment is sanitized between riders. We begin by fitting you on your rental & doing a safety check. You will want to bring your own, $, sunglasses, water & a small fanny-pack or mini backpack if you have items to carry. The tour starts by going through Deep Ellum to the popular Deep Ellum Blues Wall as well as other murals. We will then head to the Trigger Fingers Wall followed by Fair Park. On the way back, we will wind through Downtown Dallas & stop at sites such as the AT&T Discovery District, Dealey Plaza, Dallas City Hall & Pioneer Plaza. Despite the late hour, they welcomed me in and provided exceptional service. I came in expecting just a brake adjustment, but they went above and beyond--tuning my derailleurs better than they've ever been. The bike ran like new when they finished. They even took the time to recommend some great local training routes, which was incredibly helpful since I'm not from the area. The combination of their technical expertise, willingness to help at the end of their day, and genuine friendliness made this a memorable experience. 3 stars--because wow, that price increase!…read more I got a flat on my new bike, and since the tire is bigger than my old one, I figured it might cost more. I used to pay around $24, and I've always come here without thinking twice--my husband introduced me to this place, so it was my go-to spot. Well... this was my last time here. To be clear--everyone is kind and super helpful. They always greet you with a smile, and if you have to wait, there are huge, comfy loveseats to relax in. Honestly, their service is fast. Last time, I walked in, got help immediately, and was done in less than 10 minutes. The tech even showed me exactly what punctured the tube before wrapping up. Less than 15 minutes, and I was out the door. So when he told me $34, I tried to justify it--maybe the tube itself costs more now? But when I got in my car and actually checked my receipt, the tube was only $1 more than my old one. What really cost more? $20 for installation. Wow. That's just too much, I'm sorry. I drove 20 minutes to get here, so with this pricing, I've decided to opt out from coming back. Good luck to you guys!

The Perfect Way to See Dallas from 1,500 Feet Low & Slow…read more My Friends and I wanted to do something different, so we thought getting in a Cessna and seeing Dallas at night would be cool. AND IT WAS! The three of us travel a lot for our jobs and fly in and out of DFW so this would be a bit different perspective. We arrived at Addison Airport and were greeted by our pilot Alex. Alex did a great job showing us the preflight and all that goes into getting a Cessna ready. Alex did a great job showing us around the aircraft during the pre-flight and explaining why an airplane is not like a car and you cannot just turn the key. I sat in the back, because I fly Cessna's I wanted to let my friend who had never been in a small plane sit at the controls. I am going to go off on a tangent here; the rich got it made with the whole flying private! Okay back to my review! We were buckled in and started taxing around 8pm. So it was going to be a night flight for sure. Right after take-off, we were flying over Dallas Love Airport. It was cool to see a Southwest 737 landing right under you. We flew over to Jerry World and Rangers Park; it was a perfect day to fly! Visibility was great. As we were flying over to Arlington we could see all the aircraft flying into and out of DFW. We then turned towards downtown Dallas. To see the skyline up close and all light up is amazing! My photos do not do the actual experience justice. As we worked our way back to Addison we flew over The Star in Frisco and Plano. So think about this real quick the next time you are stuck in DFW traffic; we flew from Addison to Arlington and back with time to do some circles around Frisco in under an hour. Try that that in your car! After we touched down we thanked our pilot for a great tour. We went home and reviewed our photos from a great time! So here is why I would recommend Starlight Tours. 1. If you have never flown in a small Cessna before this would be a great reason for you to. 2. Perfect way to show DFW to family and get some cool points. 3. If it is just amazing to see DFW from the air. 4. Try to do your flight on a clear day during sunset. I'm sure that would be amazing! Our night flight was cool, but sunset would be awesome! So there you go! Because I am a pilot, I will end by saying if you have a kid that is interested in flying. This would be a perfect way to show them what flying is all about.
