It's hard enough to ask people for help - it makes it harder when the request itself is ignored. Turns out I only needed to upgrade my subwoofer from a 10" to paired 12"s - so H2 lost an easy $3.5k sale and gets a bad review out of it. The storeroom is a nice place to shop, conveniently located in Proctor with ample free street parking in the area. We got a consultation in our home so that we could see the products in our space. The quote was given right away. The salesmen was very helpful and told us that the Hunter Douglas line is a lifetime type of purchase and therefore pricier than other options. Ultimately we chose a less expensive option but I think this store is worth a look, especially if you want something less common or have a more complicated situation.

They had a few issues with the process, but what blew me away was that every time I found a problem the owner immediately wrote me a check to cover the damage with no hesitation. Overall though it is a good product, it did a great job of sealing around all of the top and bottom plates, and I'm sure a bunch of other places I can't see. The aerobarrier got me down to 1.2 ach50, which surpassed my target. Their main guy was out of town, so they sent a less experienced tech. They ended up not taping off all of the plumbing penetrations, so we ended up getting sealant stuck in the dryer vent, b-vent, and a few other places. They either sent someone immediately to clean it up, or paid to replace the item when cleaning wasn't possible. They gave me an extra refund for the trouble. I wished I had the more experienced tech for the blower door, as this guy missed several things that would have improved the score. There was a window which was ajar, some plumbing penetrations which weren't taped off, and the HVAC duct work to the original house (which was square footage excluded from the test) needed to be taped off but wasn't. He also didn't know how to do a duct leakage test to the exterior (running duct leakage during blower door essentially). But I can't complain too much, as I still received a score which exceeded my expectations.

Having just completed a remodel, I was not interested in ripping into the newly painted walls and ceiling. Steve came up with the idea of a Samsung Frame TV, using the existing long unused ceiling speakers, and adding a Sonos 5 for music streaming. Within 10 days from start to finish, the project was completed. The installers were efficient, respectful of my space, and tidy. The entire experience was very positive and I love the end result. We wanted to install a 70 inch tv on a moveable mount in the only place it would fit (above a weird, fake fireplace that came with the house). Friends suggested going with one of those cheap $70/hour places but we wanted it done right and safe. When we found this place, it first seemed a little too fancy and I worried they wouldn't do a small job like this, but Rob was great about explaining the cost and process and everything worked out. Very happy with the end result and we can sleep comfortable knowing it won't fall on one of our pets. Highly recommend.

Patricia responded in a very timely manner to my inquiry, and had Jack scheduled to come out for an estimate pretty quickly. Jack was prompt, to the minute, the day of our scheduled estimate - that speaks volumes because contractors typically give you a large timeframe of their arrival, and you end up waiting around for hours wondering when they would show up. Jack is super personable and gave his professional opinion on the camera/light installation we wanted done around the outside of our house. When we got our first quote, we did go back and forth via email a few times to finalize the scope of the work we wanted done for the budget we had. When we came to an agreement, a day and time was scheduled for Jack to come out with a colleague. When that day came, Seattle had a snow day with icy roads, and therefore Jack wasn't able to come at the scheduled 8am time. Patricia attempted reaching us very early in the morning to inform us of Jack's delay. When I didn't respond to her first few text messages to acknowledge the delay, she found another way to get a hold of my husband. To me, that is dedication and putting the customer first - she didn't want us to be waiting around wondering where Jack was. I consider that excellent customer service! The start time ended up only being a 2 hour delay, and Jack showed up promptly again. He and his colleague, True (sp?), completed the project within 2-3 hours. They went above and beyond, spending time to help us label our entire circuit breaker box. This was certainly not expected, but extremely appreciated!
