Eric was great! He came over to my house and fixed my Lenovo laptop hardware issues. He came over and gave me an assessment of which part was bad and needed replacing without charging me. Then after the part arrived, I called him to come over and install the part. I could tell that he has a meticulous and detail-oriented personality and did a clean job. What can I say to explain my rating. Eric came to my house, did all I asked, told me that my laptop was slow and should be cleaned. That would be another $100. Sounded sensible, so I gave it to him. He came back with it and did another bit of work for me then. A few days later my laptop stopped working in a major way. Mind you....it worked fine before he took it to "clean it up". I don't know whether this was a coincidence or not....but I contacted him to see if he could fix this issue. Suddenly he was almost impossible to reach. Finally after several days, he said if I hooked up my laptop to my router he could fix it remotely. He gave me a specific date and time in which to do that. So, I did that (i,e. plug the laptop into the router) so he could log in remotely. It is now 5 days later and I've not heard a word from him about this. I've obviously given up on him coming through for me on this issue, and of course wouldn't consider using him again. It's too bad because the rest of the work I asked him to do he did well and he seemed like a nice fellow. But lack of follow through on this issue is totally unprofessional. read more

My boyfriend and I were having very stressful computer issues last weekend and so we found Eric here on Yelp. We were desperate and he was our last resort. Long story, but we accidentally uploaded Windows 10 (from the Internet-badddd move), which then lead us to a virus. The computer was tripping. We had called another "geek" out to fix it onsite, with no such luck. Called Eric and he was super friendly and knowledgeable over the phone and was almost ready to trouble shoot without even looking at the actual computer. We felt like we were in good hands and were eager to set up the appt and get it going. He picked it up which was such a nice service he provides and was able to re-install the old Windows 7 version in less than a 24 hour turn around. We explained how critical it was to get this computer back before my boyfriends work day started Monday morning. He owns his own business and so this computer is pretty much his LIFE! We were very optimistic and even meeting him in person, he was calm, professional and spoke in that computer jargon nerdiness that was exactly what we wanted to hear. Eric went above and beyond when my computer went down recently. Because I rely on it for work, I was in a desperate situation. He came to the house to try a few things and then took it to his place to further diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed, he patiently explained the problems and the various options and their pros and cons. After further questions and discussion, I felt that a new computer would be my best option but asked how long that might take. It was Sunday evening by this time, and he said it was possible to get me up and running by Tuesday. Wow, seriously? He ordered the components that evening, and they were all delivered to him by 9 p.m. Monday, with the exception of the case, which he picked up himself locally. He then built it Monday night and loaded Windows 10 so that overnight it could do all the horrifically long updates, including the Creator's update. He then transferred my data and added all the apps he could. True to his word, it was up and running for me Tuesday, and I was able to get back to my work. All of that for a VERY reasonable price, and he didn't want to accept payment for all the work he did on my old computer. He also made some recommendations regarding backup and use of a hub and some other things that were very helpful. He provided support free of charge for the inevitable little tweaks and questions that come up with new computers and re-loads. All loose ends were tied up. It just doesn't get better than that. He arrived at our home exactly when promised, listened carefully to the issues I had with my older computer, gave me an estimate for replacing the hard drive, reinstalling Windows 7, installing Office 2010, and cleaning up all the files. Two weeks ago when my computer overheated I thought I would lose my mind! My computer is my most important tool for work. Faster than lightening I took my overheated computer to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I bought a new computer at Best Buy and left it with the Geek Squad to transfer my files from my old computer unto my new computer. After three frustrating days waiting and three separate trips back to Geek Squad I picked up my computers. Geek Squad said my new computer was ready to go. When I got home and turned on my new computer nothing was right so I was still unable to work. Meanwhile my clients were waiting for their reports from me and I was ready to pull my hair out because I still was unable to deliver my clients their reports.
