Grilled Chicken wrap with tater tots

Went in for a quick bite after leaving the airport. As always, the waitress was friendly and I was seated promptly. The game was on everyone was just sitting there Alabama jerseys. I got the chicken wrap with tater tots and for an appetizer I got the spinach dip.

Came here for a late lunch today and had a very positive experience. Nestled in downtown Decatur, this restaurant is kind of small but it's cozy and the vibe is very welcoming. They weren't super busy but I didn't expect a large lunch crowd at 1:30 on a Thursday and hey, just means faster food and service for me! They have a fairly simple but thoughtful menu with lots of American favorites -- think burgers, sandwiches, steaks and chicken. As a result of their more steak-oriented dinner menu, they also have a few more upscale / less fried options as sides like asparagus or broccoli if that's more your speed. I went with the Buffalo chicken wrap and French fries, with a sweet tea to drink. Overall, I was quite pleased with my meal. The sweet tea was delicious, and I was especially thirsty, so that was a huge plus! The French fry portion looked a little small at first but I was plenty full by the time I finished. The fries themselves were crisp, very hot, and the sprinkle of peppery seasoning gave them a little extra pizazz. The cup of ranch I got for dipping was great ranch, too. The wrap was nicely griddled, with lots of crispy chicken. It actually had some heat to it, too -- which I enjoyed (and I was doubly glad for the good ranch, lol!). The lettuce inside was maybe a little anemic, but honestly I didn't order the wrap to eat lettuce, so whatever, right? Haha. My food was certainly enjoyable, but the real reason behind my 5 star rating has to be the service. Call me dramatic...but it was like, fine dining level of good service + some extra on top. I never caught her name, but my waitress was a taller woman with bright blonde hair and blue eyes and she was working at 1:30 today (Thursday, February 1). I think her daughter was seated at a table and coloring quietly for a few minutes early in my visit. If the owner happens to see this...please know you have a true gem on your team. To start, she was great for just me. Always prompt with a refill (and I needed several), brought ketchup without me even having to ask, knew intuitively when I was ready to order and when I was ready for my check, brought me a to-go drink because she remembered I laughed and apologized over how thirsty I was, and just made me feel right at home and very welcome. But even more important than that, she showed true and genuine kindness to multiple guests, going above and beyond the call of duty. A few minutes after I sat down, an elderly gentleman came in, seeming confused and a little worried. He was looking for directions on how to get to the social security office. He had the address and knew it was nearby but didn't know how to get there. My waitress spoke with him at length and tried to explain directions she pulled up on her phone. When that didn't seem to help enough, she painstakingly wrote the directions down for him, step by step, on a piece of paper -- Mapquest style! This seemed to help him a lot, and he left smiling and visibly relieved. And THEN, toward the end of my visit, two gentlemen sat down behind me. When she came to their table, it became clear quickly that English was their second language. Nevertheless, she took extra care in ensuring they were taken care of just as meticulously and carefully as they deserved: making recommendations, asking thoughtful questions for clarification, etc. Make no mistake: everyone deserves to be treated with the level of dignity and respect she gave to these other guests. But it would have been beyond easy to shrug them off or get away with giving them minimal care or attention. She didn't, though, and her care really did move me. Kindness matters more than anything, and she was truly kind. So kudos, Bank Street Grill, and biggest kudos to your waitress who was working today! Her good deeds did not go unnoticed.

Atmosphere is nice and quaint. Nice looking place. Came in and tried the burger and fries. Had it plain so as to not be moved by anything. It is a homemade burger but found to not be anything special and quite dry. Which leads me to wonder is not precooked some. Fries were good and it was ok. Was looking and hoping for a WOW place. Will be here all summer .

I Stopped in for dinner tonight while traveling for work and was thoroughly impressed. The downtown Decatur area is very cool, just feels quaint and nice. Great decor inside as well. I started with the cheese curds which had jalapeños and were good. The real winner of the night was the Hot Pepper burger. It was a burger with cream cheese and a perfect pepper jelly on the buns. Just fabulous. Definitely worth the return trip. Wish I had gotten a pic of the great burger and Brussel Sprouts. The service was great start to finish as well.

The best strawberry margarita I've ever had. The wings are cooked to perfection. It's such quiet, cute, little sit down restaurant. Our waitress was awesome.

A really good menu, great burgers and drinks. The service is exceptional and the ambiance very sociable and energetic! Prices are pretty good too.

You can tell when owners are passionate about their food. This was my second time, here last time I came I had the reuben rolls and a blue cheese house salad. Today I came in with my boyfriend for dinner. Since I loved the reuben rolls so much the first time we ordered them again to split. They were as good as the first time. For my main I got the mushroom burger with a blue cheese house salad. This burger was one of the juiciest burgers I have ever eaten. The quality of the burger rings through. The beef is house ground, a mix of ribeye, filet and chuck, this makes it super flavorful. I have been here twice and know I will be adding this to the list of local places we frequent. The ambiance is cozy and chill, the food delectable and the service is fantastic. Support local for sure.

We are…read moreproviding TWO stars because it was clean and the staff was very friendly, but the food just didn't "do it" for us. It all started when I went to wash my hands. I washed my hands & then dried them, but the only way to open the trash can to throw away the brown 'towel"l was to physically use my hands to open it. So, I had to use my clean hands to open the top of the trash can...leave it open...and then rewash my hands so I could throw stuff away. I am not a germaphobe, but I prefer to wash my hands before I eat. There are better bathroom trash cans options at Lowe's or Home Depot that create a more efficient bathroom. Then, our food arrived. We ordered some wings and split a Philly Cheesesteak. The Philly Cheesesteak was average, but they had already run out of mushrooms (@ 11:45 in the morning). The bread on the cheesesteak was good; however, the wings were a colossal disappointment. They were so "not good" that we didn't even finish them. We REALLY wanted to enjoy Buffalo Luke's, but even the fries were overcooked. Also, when a Buffalo wings establishment charges 35¢ for an "extra" sauce (blue cheese or ranch), that is 100% fine, but the containers were so shallow that there was barely enough blue cheese in each cup for two wings. Finally, and this is picky...but it matters. I realize that times are tight because our economy is in complete shambles...so buying the cheapest paper towels from the dollar store is an easy way to save money. But, when a patron tries to pull off a "full" sheet to wipe his or her sticky fingers that are soaked in Buffalo hot sauce..,you really need a full sheet. Repeatedly, every single pull resulted in "half a sheet" (or less) because the paper towels were so cheap. So, I probably used twice as many paper towels as I actually needed...and that added frustration for me because it took away from my dining experience. I recommend purchasing better paper towels (to go with the upgraded trash can in the bathroom). Sadly, we gave Buffalo Luke's a fair shot, but we will not be returning because it just didn't cut the mustard.

First of all, we got nasty glares and even a head shake from the employees when we approached the door. They all disappeared behind the wall and not one, not two, but three employees one at a time poked their head out, glared at us, then went back to the kitchen. We were about to leave when a sweet older cashier came out to take our order. I ordered the Cookout burger, House style which is with Quesadilla sauce, and a small Cajun fry. My husband ordered chili cheese fries. I usually take pictures of my food but I was so uncomfortable because of the employee glares and then I was shocked at how awful and sad my food looked, pictures were the last thing on my mind. The burger was tiny overall, bun was dry and grainy, beef was thin and dry with a quarter-sized spot of quesadilla sauce, a leaf of lettuce, and one slice of tomato. Also, when I ordered Cajun fries, I was sadly picturing Five Guys' Cajun fries. These are not even close. These are the crinkle cut fries with some Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. They were room temperature & kind of dry. I usually try to do good reviews, but we were so disappointed and a little annoyed with our first ever visit to a Cookout.
