Unprofessional and another doctor not taking women seriously. He waited until the end of my…read moreappointment to tell me he can't test me for what my doctor sent the referral for in the first place. I was told I'm too young to need reading glasses but too old to be diagnosed with a different vision disorder because it's "usually" diagnosed in childhood. He was acknowledging that there is something wrong but then said I'm fine. My primary doctor believes I have a vision problem (the whole point of the referral) but because i didn't have access for proper exams as a kid, I was dismissed. I told him I avoid driving because my eyes can't focus, that I wear prescription reading glasses, prescription sunglasses I wear in stores, and prescription polarized sunglasses, because I'm extremely light sensitive. After I explained my symptoms in more detail, he agreed to write me a referral to a pediatrician. When the staff called to schedule my appointment they confirmed they were testing for what the referral said and my intake form had it written clearly on the top of the first page. During the appointment he suggested I try eye drops and offered to give me a different eye prescriptions, despite me telling him I'm already being treated for dry eyes and just got a new eye prescription three months ago.

My first appointment went very well. The office staff were friendly and patient. The assistant who…read moredid the preliminary measurements etc did not communicate much or explain what she was doing. That's not a complaint, just an observation. She got the job done. Dr. Nicholson was excellent! He took time to answer my questions and he has a good sense of humor. He was friendly and easy going. There was no "hard sell" to choose the most expensive options. The office is short staffed like many places are these days. Even so, the appointment went very well and it was faster than I expected. It costs zero dollars to be kind. So be patient and appreciate the employees (anywhere) who are there to help you. I will update my review after I have cataract surgery.

This place is terrible. It feels like everyone here is strictly concerned with how much money they…read morecan squeeze out of them. The awful dark haired woman with glasses was only interested in selling me treatments that I do not need that weren't even related to what I went in there for. She treated everyone she interacted with absolutely no care or concern. After the appointment, I felt like she couldnt wait to push me out the door. When I got back to my car where my husband was waiting for me, he told me that that some woman from the office had come out to the car to interegate him about his reason for being in their parking lot. When he said that he was waiting for his wife, she insisted he give her my name to verify his "story". My husband has a hard time walking so he often waits for me in the car. The fact that she insinuated that he was lying just to loiter in their parking lot is absurd!! It turned out to be the same pushy woman that was "dealing" with me in the office. I will never come back here!!
