We can't stop coming back here. It is a little pricey, but the flavors are unique and delicious. I always get salted caramel as part of my scoops, and I usually pair it with some sort of chocolate or cookie ice cream. It never disappoints. You can't go wrong with Gelati Celesti. This location is near Libbie on Grove, so parking can be a bit of a bear at times. They have both inside and patio seating, which is nice, as well as an array of delightful ice cream flavors. I had a strawberry milkshake on my most recent visit, and it was great. I also love their rainbow cookie ice cream. Prices are reasonable for the quality and the service is consistently friendly. read more

Another gem located in Richmond! The interior is so sweet! Whoops... was that a pun? Hehe. The interior is so bright, and the accent wall is covered in ice cream scoops. How neat! They had so many flavors to choose from. They also had a cooler case filled with ice cream cookies and ice cream in containers. The pricing was on point! They had some sugar flavors for this interested, and they tasted great! My kiddos raves about their treats! There is a lot of seating inside and a few outdoor seats. There are couple locations in the city. They have a lot of interesting flavors. I had two scoops banana and salty caramel on a waffle cone. The waffle cone are huge taste fresh made. The banana has a good flavor doesn't tater artificial, the salty caramel is just ok, not the best I ever had. read more

Mmmm ... I just had the seasonal peppermint bark which has great big pieces of chocolate chips and crunchy bits of candy cane swirled into the pink and white creamy gelato ... and I flippity flopped! Amazing... we had just come from getting a burger next door, and such a refreshing end to the evening! Yep... I even love ice cream in cold weather! The prices are high... a small is like $5... and yes, you can get a 1/2 gallon at the grocery store for that much. But it's an occasional splurge well worth it. Cute location in Westhampton! This building is so unique and has been a million different things in the past few years, but I think that Gelati Celesti + the business office in the back (real estate?) is perfect. I love the decor of all the Gelati Celesti stores. Modern, not doing too much, and with an emphasis on ice cream! This time, I got the almond amaretto and it was sooo good. There is something about this ice cream that is truly exemplary. It has a deep, rich flavor that you just can't get from a bucket of ice cream at the store. My absolute favorite is anything vanilla based: The regular vanilla, butter pecan, vanilla chip, and Just Ask. This is a favorite treat for our family after a hard week of working and juggling kids. This gelato shop is the front of a real estate agency, which is a little odd. When I went outside, they had a bunch of containers sitting outside of the cooler; I guess they were cleaning the inside or something. The result was a rather uneven experience for me, with some very cold and solid gelato mixed with some that was trending towards melting. The flavors were strong individually, and there were some vegan options there. It's a local chain, and I might try another one of their locations. read more

The ice cream is mid. I asked for gelato in a cone. Instead of putting the gelato in a waffle cone, they decided to educate me on what gelato is. Which requires a very broad assumption about my experience and knowledge in life. To top it off, they then overcharged my friend. Even though I complimented the server's eyes to make it clear, and already paid. I can only assume yet another broad assumption was made. Will not be back. Unless you look like a stepford wife or you just walked off the golf course, in my experience you will not enjot your time. Friendly atmosphere ruined by repeated judgmental actions by staff. read more

Very unfriendly and not understanding female working there. My toddler ordered "chocolate chip ice cream" and she gave us chocolate-chocolate chip and I said it was a misunderstanding and that she wanted vanilla chocolate chip. She was just so incredibly rude about it and then also said I needed to pay for both flavors even though it was a misunderstanding. It was just a very upsetting and unpleasant experience when it didn't have to be. read more

Gelati Celesti serves the BEST ice cream in Richmond, and honestly the best we've had anywhere. The flavors are numerous and popular, they rotate flavors all the time, and the staff is always so friendly. It's very well made ice cream and I highly recommend it. One of my favorite flavors, and possibly the most popular flavor on the menu, is "Just Ask" - white chocolate ice cream with Oreos and peanut butter. read more

Tonight I came here and they were so rude. Their hours temporarily changed and so we walked in and asked if they were still open because we were not sure. The response I got back was so rude and short and condescending. I was told no in a very stern voice then told it "literally says it on the door like what". She then scoffed and shook her head and told us to leave. It was only one employee and I am sorry for anyone who deals with her. read more

I have never been a fan of ice cream. Truly had no problem saying no when I'd be out with my family watching them have some. That was until last summer when I discovered Gelati Celesti. Wow oh wow! As one reviewer said, Just Ask is my personal fave...but that's not to say I haven't tried lots of other regular flavors along with seasonal rotation options. It's now become a weekly ritual for our family to visit Gelati for a few scoops... or pints!! read more

After a rough day of medical appointments, my hubby felt I needed a treat. We popped in this afternoon and Ellen helped us. She was so friendly and kind to us, there's no way she could have known the frightening news we learned today, but she treated us like we were close friends. We were offered samples of flavors when we couldn't decide which of the many flavors they offered that we wanted! It was a lovely day, and we ate our gelato outside. I really enjoyed the Honey Badger flavor- a nice subtle honey flavor with bits of caramel waffle pieces. My husband really enjoyed his Just Ask flavor that consisted of cookies and cream with peanut butter and white chocolate. I went inside to dispose of our ice cream waste and had the opportunity to speak with Ellen again. She was so compassionate and kind that I would return to this location, although it is out of the way for us. The ice cream was pretty darn yummy, as well! I've finally made my husband a gelato convert, thanks to Gelati Celesti. read more

This is the old Boyer's Ice Cream space and I am happy to report that they kept the most important part: Just Ask ice cream. It's a bit sad to see it renovated, but hopefully it will thrive where Boyer's didn't. Generous portions make the prices totally worth it and the product is the best ice cream in Richmond. read more

The Richmond shop is bright and airy and the service is very friendly. I like how they're very open to giving you samples and not making you feel bad about it. At least on my trip. My family and I ordered the salted peanut with chocolate flecks (which I thought was good but needed more chocolate), Texas sheet cake (which I think is the dairy free version of the chocolate blackout cake. I didn't realize it was dairy free so I picked it thinking you could taste the chocolate more but I think most of us preferred the chocolate blackout cake) green mint chip (which was very good and my daughter smartly combine this with the chocolate blackout cake. Salted peanut butter would've been good with the CBC as well ) and double dough which was pretty awesome. I'm actually normally not a cookie dough ice cream fan because I prefer the cookie but I thought this was done very well. My only disappointment was that they did not have any kind of coffee flavor, which is my go to for most ice cream stores besides the classic chocolate, peanut butter and mint chip. It would be nice if they had some indoor seating. I feel like there is potential for it. As for parking- it's on Cary so it's a crapshoot.

One of the things I instantly noticed on the menu was their vegan breakfast sandwich with a homemade bean-based sausage patty. I got myself an egg and cheese sandwich on a buttermilk biscuit (delicious, by the way) with pepper jack cheese, veggies (tomato, lettuce, and avocado), and for a dollar extra, one of their vegan breakfast sausage patties. I was immediately impressed by how flavorful the patty was- you get a crispness upon the first bite and then the creaminess of the beans afterwards. It was absolutely incredible in a way I can't even describe. I also got the Thai iced coffee, which tasted as sweet as a typical Thai iced tea, yet in coffee form. I may only be spending a few days in Richmond, but I'm absolutely coming back next time I'm here to try more things. DIVINE! The woman behind the counter was super sweet too. The Vanilla Latte is one of the best I've had, and their breakfast sandwiches never miss. My husband and I absolutely love the vibe -- it feels like one of those cozy neighborhood cafés you see in the movies. The staff is always super friendly, and service is quick. And, DON'T skip dessert! Their Nutella Brownie = 10/10!

I thoroughly enjoyed the specialty rolls! Service was great! We were running behind our reservation time and I called to let them know. We still got our table when we arrived! They told us about the happy hour and we got some drinks and an appetizer. Water was always refilled. Ambiance is low key. Great for catching up with friends and families. Yume Roll and Jeff roll on bogo. They were actually a bit smaller than I expected. I ate all 4 rolls in one sitting. Some of the roll pieces were kind of thin but it was worth it with the bogo deal. Still pretty good flavor. I liked the Jeff roll with tuna, it seemed like a pretty thin topping and had a nice little kick from the jalapeño. The Yume roll had good flavor but it felt like the filling with the crunch was a lot of the filling which made it a little bland, nice crunch and simple flavors.

Never had a midwest kolach before so when I walked in I told the guy it was our first time. He proceeded to give me so many delicious options and explained to me the type of food it was.
