My son, my mom, and I went to Junction Gelato today and my son was very sad that the whole kids section has been taken out. It was such a good idea to keep the kids busy. Perhaps the new owners could add back a few items. Getting ice cream is the perfect family outing. Just today alone we saw quite a few kids. Just my opinion of course! Also, maybe there can be more gelato flavors than ice cream flavors since it's called Gelato Junction. I will say though, the almond Gelato was devine, the staff was wonderful and it's very affordable.

After my family and I worked up a sweat from doing an escape room down the street and shopping, we wanted something to cool us down and satisfy our sweet tooth. I ordered the single scoop but split it and had two half scoops. Half was yellow cake ice cream and the offer was strawberry cheesecake. Combined made for a delicious treat but the yellow cake was superb. The staff was a friendly, portions enormous and the cost justified the quality, taste and large scoops. The tables are perfect for enjoying your dessert while catching up with loved ones. Keep doing what you're doing, Gelato Junction!

Rose and Irish cream gelato cones for dessert!

The kids scoped this place out and adored all of the options they had to chose from. Emily ended up with a rose gelato cone, Xavier had an Irish mint that would wake you up with a kick! It was a delicious end to lunch and definitely a place we would recommend to any gelato lover.

These for the two who served a ice cream. They were great.

It's all about service. The gelato was good but the young women, who served me, we're fantastic. They even gave my puppy a doggy treats.

When I saw that this place has vegan gelato, I knew we had to come try it while we were in town!! They unfortunately didn't have any of their vegan gelatos this day, BUT they did have a ton of other vegan options! They had an oat milk ice cream, and a whole row of sorbet! The staff were super nice when I asked about the vegan options as well, so thank you! I got some red orange & some Italian ice sorbet, and they were so good even my non vegan partner kept eating mine! Tasty stuff!

    Gelato case! Mmmmm

Excellent gelato and ice cream. They offer free samples so you don't just get stuck with a flavor you dislike. And there are a lot of flavors to choose from, of both ice cream and gelato. I recommend you trying the more unusual flavors at least once! You'll be surprised how delicious those typically savory flavors are in gelato form! I like that there are the typical "safe" flavors or kid flavors for the less adventurous individuals or my kid, who shies away from those flavors that make her hesitate. They offer cups (different sizes) or cones. Friendly service, with seating inside and outside. While they offer coffees, sweets, even soups, and more...the ice cream and gelato are the reasons I come back.

Answering the most recent negative review: Thank you for the comment, Valerie. It is not an employee's fault that the website wasn't updated. I had checked google the day of and the times had been updated to our winter hours on there so I'm not sure why they weren't on the website. I was not sure what you wanted me to do. I said "the website must not have been updated because we change hours in the winter." And you kept repeating "your website said 6." As if there were something I could do about it. You asked if I could serve it because it's icecream. The first thing we do when we close is take the gelato out and stick it in a different freezer, while covering the icecream tubs. It would have been rock-solid and the scoops had already been washed and sanitized. Honestly you stunned me for a moment. I was dumbfounded that someone was THAT entitled that they would go to an employee of a small business and demand that they be served icecream in a closed shop because they were "supposed to be open for the next half hour." To each his own I suppose. We'd love to have you come during our business hours and hope to see you soon!

I had the pumpkin gelato and thought it was good. I had great service, but it was a slow day too. I'd come by here again.

Ask the Community - Gelato Junction

How much are the scoops of gelato in a cup?

I had their ice cream double scoop. I would think the gelato scoops are a similar size. The scoops are of a generous size. Mine were 3-4 inches in diameter.

However this last time was a tad disappointed. We arrived about 8:35 in the drive through which was packed. No big deal and we were willing to wait. 8:55 still in line one of the workers walks out the back and I hear her say something similar to "what the f**, we close in 3 minutes and we have all these f** people". Wasn't too bothered by it as I get it I've worked in fast food before and it can be annoying when you get a rush right before close. Just thought she should be more professional. Finally we get upfront to order and find out from her they are only doing cups and cones because they "closed 12 minutes ago technically". They wouldn't even let us add any toppings on it. We still enjoyed some ice cream but definitely were disappointed being that we wanted other things and were there almost half an hour before closing. If you're gonna serve the rest of your customers on site before closing at least fully serve them. Also management I would recommend doing some simple coaching with these employees on professionality and such around closing. I get it I've been there myself but you still have to serve the people in your place to the best of your ability before it shuts down. That's just food business.
