Update: 2 1/2 years later got them touched up. I am so glad I went to Quynh. It'll be 3 year in may since I did the procedure and wake up confident without needing to fill in/pencil my brows. I won her giveaway and needed to get my lips touched up because after a while they start to fade unevenly and you get lighter shades of pink spots on your lips. She said she would do it free of charge because I got her services through winning her giveaway contest. I drove 45 minutes to her (Pasadena to Garden Grove) just for her to tell me that she is on her way to LA. I reached out to her a total of 3x within a week to try and get rescheduled and then I finally got a response on the 3rd try. I showed her DM to my friends, family and even my coworkers and they all said she was extremely unprofessional and passive aggressive and I shouldn't go back to her. I lost my phone the night before my appt and I was extremely distressed the next morning so I told her I couldn't make my appt and she said they don't accept cancellations and I immediately asked her for the directions and started heading towards her but by then she was already heading to LA to "go do more important things". I arrived to my appointment on time and she was no where to be found. This woman is the most unprofessional owner I have ever met and the way she responds to her customers is not ok. I paid a lot of money to get my brows done. Not only the resulting brows were "MEH," I was insulted, lied to, and in pain because microblading actually hurts, A LOT! Unless cheap numbing cream was used on me.  I'd give 0 star if I could. From personal experience, I recommend you spend your hard earned $ elsewhere! Don't be tricked by fake reviews and Photoshop pictures. Here's the story. Gem Beauty has all 5 stars reviews and it's one of the most expensive places here in Orange County. I thought she must be really good to charge so much...I also was told no touch-up up is required.  So I took a plunge and made the $100 deposit.  Figured nothing can go wrong, right? Wrong! The day of the appointment,  Quynh was 40 min late! She didn't know which service I paid for and tried to rush me out without completing the Microshading service, which is what I paid for. So before we started, I told her everything I wanted for my brows and that one brow is a little lower. Which I needed her to pay more attention to that brow so both my brows would be symmetrical. Quynh said not to worry to all my concerns.  The result? My brows were underwhelmed. They were thin without shape to give my face a lifted look. They were not symmetrical, which was one of my biggest concerns. Some spots have missing colors and missing hair strokes.  I  was extremely unimpressed with the result. It was an absolutely "MEH" job. I was thinking to myself that I didn't pay $520 to get "MEH" brows!  So I asked Quynh to fix some areas, but she insisted that I come back for a touch-up and then she will fix whatever I need. The day of the touch-up,  NO ONE was at the office! I called and texted, but no one answered. About 2 hrs later, Quynh replied  saying she didn't have me on her schedule. Later, she said it must've been "a system malfunction" and that she would "allow" me to pick a day that works for me! I was very upset since I had to plan my day around the touch-up appointment, which didn't take place. Long story short,  I showed up to the rescheduled touch-up appointment,  Quynh didn't even come out to greet me.  She didn't even apologize for missing the original touch-up appointment.  She was not polite like she was during my 1st visit. Her attitude and way of speaking were curt the entire time.  I told her that one of the brows that she did is a little lower, and it's making my face a bit droopy. She smirked and replied curtly, "Then get botox."  She then told me that she doesn't do any  erasing service to any hairstrokes or color that's done by her.  I was sure she told me that she would fix everything when I come back for my touch-up session. So I left without getting any more work done by her. Needless to say, I was stumped by how people like her can open a business to lie and cheat people of their money! I hope my unfortunate experiences and true review of Gem Beauti and of Quynh Ly will help you to see that you should spend your hard eared money somewhere else. And not to be tricked by fake reviews. So happy I finally got my eyebrows micro bladed after three years of wanting to do so! I got them done April 26 so it's been close to three months since and I am in love!
