    Kimchi fried rice and banchan

This is typically our go-to Korean BBQ spot in town! I'm so glad that they opened a few years ago because we used to have to drive to SoCal to eat at Gen! It is all-you-can-eat and extremely affordable. Everything on the menu is included except for drinks, dessert, and marked premium items. If you come on a weekday, there's typically zero wait, and it does get busier on weekends, especially Saturdays. My favorites here are the premium steak, bulgogi, sliced brisket, and japchae. Definitely get those when you come!

The first time we came here, we had service that was not too fantastic. We came back because of the food being soooo good. We were able to make a reservation the same day we wanted to eat there. It took a few times and a different phone number to reach them, but alas we did. We came in, gave our name and were seated right away! Nico was a superstar and served our crazy, and somewhat rowdy, group with a smile. We all had a beer and soju, and my side of the table got plenty of garlic beef belly!! We had some appetizers as well and they were absolutely delicious. For 9 of us, the bill was around $500 including gratuity for 6+ ppl. Not too bad!! Thank you sooo much Nico and crew!

I absolutely love korean bbq I eat so much its usually the first time I food I suggest whenever going out. I would never recommend this place. I love kimchi fried rice, this korean fried rice was absolutely terrible, the rice was so soggy, and had literally no flavor. It tasted like the just poured ketchup on the top of over cooked too much water rice. The korean fried chicken is nothing like korean fried chicken. It doesn't even taste fried it tastes like they put premade frozen chicken into an oven, and then put sweet and sour sauce on it. Ontop of all of this they are blasting club music. WHY?!?!? I GET THAT EVERYWHERE PLAYS MUSIV 24/7 NOW BUT WHY ARE YOU BLASTING IT I'M JUST TRYING TO ENJOY A MEAL. The meat was fine if you find yourself stuck eating here know that at least the meat is kinda decent. The service was ok no issues with the staff.

I've passed GEN Korean BBQ almost every day on my way to work, so we finally decided to give it a shot. We came in during lunchtime on a weekend, but since it was the weekend, you're required to choose the dinner option even if you're there midday. Everyone we interacted with was very nice. The host, our waitress, and even the manager were friendly. Unfortunately, the service itself was very slow. We waited quite a while just to get orders taken and when we asked about missing items, orders would be re-entered and duplicated instead of resolved which added to the confusion and delay. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. There were definitely some hits with the meats, but there were also plenty of misses. At most KBBQ spots, the appetizers, meats, and entrées are usually consistently solid. Here, the appetizers were honestly the biggest letdown. Several were not just underwhelming, but downright bad. The soup I ordered was completely flavorless, the calamari rings were overly burned, and the fried shrimp was a huge disappointment. It's also worth noting that this place is probably not as busy as other spots and there is plenty of seating. They also play club music which can be a pro or a con depending on what you prefer. Overall, between the slow service and inconsistent food quality especially the poor appetizers- we probably wouldn't come back. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it didn't live up to expectations, especially for the price.

I had a great meal here and would definitely go back. Went to celebrate a birthday and our party of 4 all enjoyed our dinner. We decided on the $30.99 Dinner tier, which I believe is the pricing in the middle, I know it wasn't the Premium; it worked perfectly for our group. Our server was Steph and she was wonderful- upbeat and attentive. We enjoyed the various meats, especially the Gen Premium Steak and the Chadol, thinly sliced brisket. The Fried Mandu (dumpling) was delish and the Japchae was good. The Soondooboo Soup had great flavors- spicy tofu with veggies. I also liked that besides steamed white rice, there was Kimchi Fried Rice, Rice Paper, and Radish Paper. We had the Lychee Soju which we all enjoyed. Most AYCE BBQ places have a dessert included, usually ice cream. They did have dessert for a price- Macaron Ice Cream for $3.75. I had the Green Tea flavor and it's worth it! Although I personally think they should still offer some kind of dessert that's included, lol. There wasn't a wait when we went at 5:30pm on a Thursday. Lots of parking available.

Customer service begins from the top!!! I just left an amazing review for the location on the strip. It was soooo good we decided to dine again!! When I say first impressions are everything..... they truly are! After having Steve as a server, being greeted quickly and having top notch service.. this experience fell flat on its face! Walking in with a party of 6 on a pretty dead Sunday. We had five employees within eye sight of us and weren't greeted for far longer than five minutes. When we were greeted we were told we'd be seated shortly and we were asking ourselves if the server was coming back close to five minutes later. When we were seated, and began ordering the Server Roly couldn't answer questions, didn't know if items were on the menu, our service took so long we had to keep asking for items to be brought to our table like kimchi, or drinks which if you asked for sprite you got coke, if you asked for water or daikon paper you had to ask REPEATEDLY over 20 to 30 minute period. At one point I asked Roly if he worked here, he didn't seem present, wasn't knowledgeable of the menu, and couldn't bring simple items to the table. No pictures were taken of the late lunch/early dinner. It was that chaotic and a complete MANAGEMENT MESS! Training starts at the top. The store was not as clean, the employees were not as trained, simple misses like empty toothpick holders on the front counter and not greeting customers are huge turn offs when dining. It usually means the mark is going to be missed and it was in the biggest way!!! On the strip during a PACKED house our raw meat dishes, straw wrappers and anything else that needed to be cleared off the table were cleared, reorganized and removed almost immediately (which I do not expect) and all done quietly but it made a very loud statement to attention to detail and phenomenal service. At this location our raw meat plates were left quite a long time, service was beyond slow, restaurant was empty, and it appeared as though our server didn't care about his service, us, or the establishment!! Make a new position for Steve from the Strip. Send Steve out to train managers and servers on SIMPLE details that mean the world in customer service... I rarely leave "bad" reviews but definitely believe in being honest. Would I return: Yes, Not to this location!

Service - there is only one server Being host, busser, and server, she looked up at me and my guest. Never been acknowledged. At first I thought she said hello to me. But she didn't. I love the food at gen, but I'd recommend training staff to provide better customer service. I had to walk in the back to find someone to talk to. Two other customers left as well as I told them they have only one staff and we were just waiting there. I don't want to make this review all negative but I believe in good customer service I also spoke to Ana who said she will talk to the "staff" but I couldn't get her name. But The Day I came to restaurant was on Wednesday 11/26/2025 at 1:12pm. There's only one girl working there so if restaurant owner sees this, please let them know how important customer service is. I will come to visit another time but today was very disappointing Ambiance is loud but it's ok.

It's a bit disappointing when there are restaurants that have been in business for years and there's been a change with management. This is one of those places. They used to have a location in Galleria Mall, and it was one of my favorite Korean bbq spots at the time. We arrived on a Saturday around 4:30pm. There were a good amount of people, but not super busy. The place has plenty of seating, but it also looks like this place is understaffed. We weren't given any menus because there's a QR code we can scan to view the menus. I am not a big fan of viewing menus from your phone because you lose connection sometimes and it's not always easy and convenient to view a menu through a small screen. We were a party of 4, and the server said we can only choose 4 meats and 4 appetizers at a time... which basically meant 1 order per person each round for us. This would have been fine if service wasn't slow. We had to call the servers multiple times to follow up with our orders and had to remind them of grill changes. The service could have been better. Also, Gen used to have macaron ice cream sandwiches. They have a freezer up front with macaron ice cream images around the freezer, but no macaron ice cream sandwiches, which was completely misleading and disappointing. The food was good though. They're served in small portions so you can try more things if you like. Overall this place was ok, but there are better managed Korean bbq places around.

It's been a while since we ate here and I will say that japchae flavor has changed which was one of my favorite appies to start. Meat portions are huge so be careful when ordering multiple plates!

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant has such a warm, modern atmosphere with beautiful décor that feels both upscale and inviting. Everything was spotless, the tables were well organized, and the ambiance made it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. They were happy to explain the menu, checked on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The level of hospitality was outstanding. The quality of the meat was phenomenal. Every cut was fresh, beautifully marbled, tender, and packed with flavor. You could really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Grilling everything at the table made the experience even more fun, and each bite was juicy and delicious. The side dishes were just as impressive. There was a wonderful variety of fresh, flavorful banchan that complemented the barbecue perfectly. Every refill came out fresh, and we loved trying all the different flavors alongside the meat. What surprised us most was how reasonable the pricing was considering the quality of the food, generous portions, and exceptional service. It offers fantastic value for the experience you receive. Overall, this was one of the best Korean BBQ experiences we've had. Amazing food, beautiful décor, outstanding service, high-quality meats, delicious sides, and excellent value. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Korean BBQ experience. Five stars all around! Z, Oscar, Jimmmy were awesome!!!!

    Steak, pork belly

We loved gen prior to moving to Vegas. It was the peak of ayce kbbq in California and Oregon due to the lack of options. But here we are in Vegas where they are outnumbered and outperformed. Gen was kind of disappointing compared to the likes of master Kim, doma etc. We got the dinner option since it was the weekend of $30 each but here's the pro tip: you can get $100 gen gift cards at Sam's club for $80 to make it $24 so very good price. But the pork had a bad taste. For the beef I liked the steak, it was more like a picanha steak. The appetizers were ok, not outstanding. Don't order the fish katsu, it's just a frozen fish fillet. The kfc also had too much breading. Might still go to the ones in California and Oregon but not in Vegas.

Service overall was friendly but they did feel overwhelmed. They were very diligent about changing out our grill and checking in if our meat was delivered. As for the food, our favorite was the red wine marinated pork which was a revelation. As opposed to other KBBQ places, they give you robust cuts at an affordable price. You do a limit per order per table. As for the apps, the pancakes were sensational but the cheese tonkotsu was disappointing. For a budget option, this place is a good one to try out. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained including the grill tables.

The people here are very nice. I had a group of 5 with me that were new to the KB concept. It wasn't that busy but a group of 25 entered right before us. They warned us service might be impacted. The only downside to that was that we literally forgot what we had ordered and then ordered more. And they had a new bartender that was having trouble with our mocktail orders. I find it difficult to remember the dinner option of 4from this column, - of these from this one, 2 of these. I would love to see them write that down. Or use tablets to let us order and keep track. The food was good and presented well. Overall a good experience.

Over the last few trips, I have had the naengmyrun, the soondae soup, the spicy pork belly soup, and the bossam.  The banchans are good and they offer a small but delicious assortment. The Bossam was delicious, with no smell on it and good portions. The soups are all fantastic (absolutely delicious), and the naengmyun is absolutely delicious. Hey, y'all…read more Y'all... I guess I've been living under a rock because I'm just now finding out about Cheongdam Food Hall! Where have I been?! Anywhoddles I ordered from Eki Ramen, and when I tell y'all this ramen was RAMENING! Aka delicious. Aka... fire I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, and as you can see from the menu, it was only $12.95. I added an extra egg, extra pork belly, and extra black garlic oil because... why not? Anywhoddles with the extra "trimmings" it came to $18 dollars. Let's get back to the review Now lean in so I can tell y'all about this broth. It tasted authentic to me. It was rich, velvety, silky smooth, creamy without being heavy, and bursting with savory goodness. Every sip had me closing my eyes The noodles had the perfect bite--not too soft and not too firm. The pork belly was tender, flavorful, and had just the right amount of char around the edges. And those eggs? Whew! Perfectly jammy with that beautiful golden yolk. So... if you're a ramen lover--or if you've been thinking about trying ramen for the first time--I highly recommend giving Eki Ramen a try. And while you're there, take your time and explore Cheongdam Food Hall because there are plenty of other restaurants waiting to be discovered. Until next time... y'all already know what time it is! I'll be doing a boomerang back to this spot because there are way too many restaurants in this food hall for me to stop at just one!

Food was very good. My husband's curry was 10 out of 10. My…read moreramen was pretty good also. Tonkotsu(?). A few different places to order your food. Not too mention Broken Coffee. Was full with lots of places to sit still. Ambiance was lively, younger crowd. As far as the service, they bring your order to your table. The curry place, someone came out to ask Mark how his lunch was. I like that. Two things that I found, you can order your food but not drinks. You need to buy from GT Market separately no cash, card only. The men's room was not clean, paper on the floor. TP on the floor, one stall was gross. Other than that, we enjoyed our lunch.
