The server was very attentive and the food was really good. I didn't take a picture of it .. the I wagyu beef was really good. This place was awesome and I'm so happy I came across it on TikTok. The music is great, a little loud but every song that came on during our meal was entertaining. A lot of seating area and the decoration goes nice in the space.

We came to this restaurant on a Tuesday dinner time. We opted for the all day AYCE. The restaurant had great interior and made us feel like we were in Japan. Food was phenomenal and we were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. They don't skimp out and they make the dining experience feel like high end fine dining experience. Their spicy ramen is a must. Their ice cream is the premium one in a small package instead of the usual scoop of ice cream Service could have been better. One of the waiters was visibly chewing gum when he interacted with the customers. When staff dropped off food to our table, they would not mention what the item was. They would forget to bring non ticketed items requested a couple of times like side of spicy mayo. I would hate this restaurant to be known as the post 9pm happy hour place when it has so much more potential. It still says "we are coming soon" on the From this Business section. I want to keep coming back so here's my two cents.

With "Sumo" in the name, you'd think this place is huge, based on the gigantic front signage, but no. Hidden away in a back corner, this All-You-Can-Eat sushi joint looks like a tiny tansu store from old Kyoto--if old Kyoto served Hot Cheetos. I rolled up for lunch, and threw down $24.95 for the AYCE deal and proceeded to order half the ocean. Here is the damage: The Nigiri: Yellowtail, Albacore, Super White Tuna, Sarada Lobster, Aomori Scallop, Lemon Salmon, and Yuzu Yellowtail. The Cooked Stuff: Seared Yum Yum Shrimp and grilled Honey Bee Pork Toro. The Half-Rolls: Wagyu Beef, Coconut Salmon, the "No Name," the Amazing Spider, the Kiss of Fire, and yes, the spicy Hot Cheetos roll. Honestly, A+ to the chef for turning sushi into a wild, creative flavor adventure. It easily cracks my top 25 favorite sushi spots in Vegas. Next time, though, I'm showing up after 9 PM to snag their $19.95 late-night special--because the only thing better than an absurd amount of sushi is an absurd amount of discounted sushi.

They have a late night special starting from 9-to closing for only 20 bucks!! You really can't beat that price in this economy lol. I came here with my bestie and I must say I was pretty impressed with the food and service. The sushi is fresh and there's so much to choose from. When we arrive the restaurant was a full house but, we were seated right away. The establishment had a really upbeat and chill vibe also, the Japanese decor is unique in it's on right. There's a cute Totoro statue in the front entrance you can have a cute photo op. Our server was attentive and he came back to check up on us a few times. From the nigiri; salmon, tuna, red snapper, to their specialty rolls it was scrumptious! Lol will recommend this place to everyone!!

This is my husband's second time here, he finally got me to try it. Everything was epic. I was hesitant because, omikase has skyrocketed... but not here. No one let them know here at Sumo, the service alone supersedes the price, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful sushi restaurant outside of China Town. The ayce premium is a wonderful deal that is worth every penny. The dishes come out fast and are perfectly done. The beers are large size so you get more bang for your buck. The only issue was one of the staff delivering dishes to the table didn't know what the items were and had to wait to ask the waiter what was what.

Everything is pretty good but some of the sushi rolls just all started to taste the same I love super white tuna but they put basil mayo in it which is absolutely weird to me. The Cajun albacore was phenomenal and the eel as well. My boyfriend liked the udon but I didn't Fish to rice ratio on the nigiri is fantastic Fun atmosphere the food runners need to tell you what each roll is because they drop it and walk away leaving you hanging

Bruno Mars Roll and Demon Slayer Role

First time trying Sumo Sushi on Decatur and it was actually really good. The place has a chill, casual vibe--nothing fancy, just a solid sushi spot where you can sit down and eat comfortably. The rolls came out fresh and were bigger than I expected, packed with flavor instead of just looking nice. Fish tasted clean, rice was soft, and everything felt made fresh instead of sitting around. Service was quick and pretty relaxed, and even though it got a little busy, we still got our food pretty fast. Overall, really good first impression--definitely somewhere I'd come back to when I'm craving sushi. My favorite was the must try No Name Roll and the Bruno Mars Special. Both lived up to its name for being Sumo's Top 8. The Demon Slayer Roll was probably my favorite thing I tried. It had a really good mix of flavors and the sauce brought everything together without being too much. Fresh, filling, and definitely something I'd order again. The Bruno Mars Roll was fresh, flavorful, and easy to finish. Definitely one of the better specialty rolls I tried. Service was quick and chill. Staff was friendly and got everything out pretty fast. They checked in just enough without being over the top, and made the whole experience easy. Thank you Giovanni and staff for helping my party have an amazing experience.

Go to their sister restaurant Sumo Hotpot for muchhh better quality AYCE. Thought their sushi would be sourced the same, which maybe they are, but not enough customers so it tasted a lil stale. Friday 5:45pm dinner, there were only 4 other filled tables. Also lol why'd they give us a salmon fillet as a salmon collar? Service is pretty fast and good about clearing tables. Clean and nicely decorated interior.

Located in an insanely packed parking lot, their happy hour all you can eat sushi is worth going around looking for a parking spot a few times. Offered from 9pm to 11pm every day, this is one of the most unique offerings with classics like sashimi, seared sashimi, fun apps like corn cheese garlic toast and rolls like the Grand Canyon. The service was super friendly and helpful with items served quickly and at an appropriate temperature. The ambiance is nice with large booths that make you feel like you could be somewhere in Asia but not Vegas. It is definitely worth checking out for $20. We didn't even miss the premium options that we normally want to order. The only reason for the 4 Star review was that not all items that we ordered were delivered.

Great food options! Sashimi was great. Their servers Eduard and Ming were friendly, fast and great service! The lady server was nice too. The ambiance is great, not too crowded. Good spot to go when you visit Las Vegas. Definitely coming back!

New favorite sushi spot? Possibly! We originally attempted to go to one of their other locations but they couldn't put our party together (6 of us) so we tried here and I'm so glad we did. This location is spacious, has a great atmosphere, and every single person we've come across is extremely friendly! We've come a few times now and it never disappoints. Their rice to fish ratio is amazing on their sashimi as well. Everything is delicious and they have a huge menu. We hope they never get rid of the $20 lunch special!

What's better than late night sushi at 11 PM on a Saturday? We called ahead of time because they close at midnight, last call was at 11:30. No wait and staff was so friendly when we arrived. They were also quick with the orders! Was defeated after round 2. Standout orders were the yuzu yellowtail and candy salmon nigiri for me! The yuzu yellowtail was very evenly balanced with the citrusy yuzu flavor, topped with a jalapeño and a dab of hot sauce for the perfect amount of heat. Candy salmon was unlike anything I've ever had at a sushi place in America. Lightly seared with unagi sauce and topped with a sprinkle of sugar. Sounds crazy but works so well! Everything else was tasty too, including the side dishes we ordered: takoyaki, garlic edamame (YUM and full of garlicky goodness), baked mussels, rice cakes, KFC, gyoza... the weakest was probably the cucumber salad--not enough vinegar, and the mochi ice cream. It was too frozen. Love the ambience in here, look out for some of your favorite shonen on the walls! And they were playing good music and space was very clean.

Assuming you coordinate your order(s) with your table and don't order rolls with a lot of rice, it's totally doable to get a great bang for your buck here! Drink wise: 10/10 would recommend the Strawberry Lychee Soju cocktail Nicole's customer service was on point during my family's most recent visit. Everything we ordered came out at a reasonable time and our water jug was proactively refilled without us having to flag her down. She even greeted my dad for Father's Day! That was a lovely touch, seeing as we came in right before the dinner rush. Coming from a brief food service background myself and in the interest of mindfulness, I try to make ordering a lot of items as easy as possible. It helps a to have a server that's personable and attentive. We're so thankful for her taking such great care of us! Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto.
