I'm giving this salon a 4 Star because I am very satisfied with how my nails look. The shape is exactly how I wanted and the color is so pretty. Not to mention they have the most colors I've ever seen a salon have to choose from. I even complimented how organized the colors were. My pedicure was nice although they could have rubbed my feet a little more...isn't that one of the main reasons we get a pedi ladies lol the salon seemed very well maintained and prices were reasonable. I got gel on my toes and my acrylic balanced and gel and the total was around 110 with a tip.

    My cute nail design :)

Great service! Everyone was really nice!! Called and got in real quick for a full acrylic set on a Friday afternoon!!The place was cute and clean :) Lots of colors choices and she had no problem doing the design I wanted from Pinterest.. Will definitely go back again!!

This place is nice.....very neat and clean. Staff is efficient. No massage chairs....that was sad. Will return...had my first ombré French and it looks amazing!!!!

Anita did a great job on my ombré acrylic full set! Looks exactly like the picture I showed her.

I had the worst nail experience of my life at Gen Nails and don't encourage anyone to receive services there. I arrived with acrylics and ask the owner if it was safe to remove them and add gel polish to my natural nails on the same day. She said of course and preceded to remove them. I asked to keep my natural nail length and have a rounded shape. When I sat with the tech who applied my gel she immediately filed down my nails in a short square shape and did not understand me when I tried to explain to her that was not what I wanted. When she applied the gel it was extremely thick and uneven. She applied 3 coats to one hand and 2 on the other. I tried to explain to her again and she still could not comprehend what I was saying to her. The "manicure" didn't include a hand massage or lotion and I was charged $45 for my experience. When I questioned the owner about my total when their price sheet shows a gel manicure at $25 she explained that I paid $20 for the manicure & $25 for the polish application. I'm not familiar with a salon charging separately for these services, especially when I don't believe I received a manicure. I truly believe the owner saw that I was frustrated & dissatisfied with the service and assumed I would not be returning and up- charged me intentially. I didn't want to cause a confrontational scene so I chose to unhappily pay the bill, and left vowing to never return. As I got a better look and feel for my nails my anger intensified. There were clearly bubbles and uneven spots on nearly every nail and although there were 3 coats on one hand, my nails were extremely fragile and bending. The edges of my nails were beginning to peel that same day because the polish was too thick. At that point I concluded that it was not a fair situation for Gen salon to have even received payment for such a dissatisfactory job. And I don't think it was the right decision to apply gel polish to nails that were just covered with acrylics. I think the owner said it was alright because she didn't want to lose my business. I went back to the salon in the morning and spoke with the owner about my nails, to request a refund. She took a quick glance at my nails and continued working on the client she was with. She didn't attempt to hear me, or apologize for my experience.. Nothing. She barely made eye contact and attempted to ignore my presence entirely. She exclaimed that the salon doesn't offer refunds under any circumstances and the only thing she would do is repaint them. I'm sorry, but after the horrible experience with this salon, I didn't trust them to work on me again, and I wasn't going to spend one more moment there. The unsatisfactory nail experience is something that could have happened anywhere. What disgusted me the most was the lack of understanding or customer service directly from the owner. This is your business and an extension of you. I would expect you to care about the opinions of your clients. The impression that was left on me is that they are completely focused on how much money they could gain from me, as opposed to my repeat business. I rarely ever write bad reviews. I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt when a negative experience occurs. But I was so appalled with the entire process at Gen, I felt compelled to share this story, and encourage you to seek services from salons that deserve your business.

Very beautiful, clean nail salon! I got a quick, non abrasive gel removal and normal manicure. My too-long nails were perfectly cut down and shaped. Great polish selection! Staff was friendly.

Love the job they did!! Thank you!!

Had a great time both times I've been there...plus it's close to home! They do a great job on my pedicure!

I arrived at 8:45, was called in almost immediately and was in the car on my way home by 9:05. Granted, this was just my annual check and there were no issues but I was still impressed with how fast they got me in and out. Dr San Filippo is a great dermatologist and does a thorough screening.

There have been a…read moremyriad of red flags since I have started there, one starting with me being prescribed an acne medication which resulted in multiple bad reactions from me, to then calling and leaving a voicemail how it wasn't helping me (you know since they never answer their phone or are open long enough to get ahold of them) and them just prescribing me a new one without calling me or notifying me any way. I found out when I picked up my prescriptions and literally looked at it confused as I didn't know what it was. That's when I called and talked to this snippy nurse who said "so you didn't get a call on October 3rd at blah blah blah?" I clearly did not as that's why I was calling and simply wanted to know what this was and what the side effects were. So red flag one was that. Second red flag was my birth control not being sent in to the pharmacy for about the 3rd time, resulting in me missing many days and messing up my cycle, hormones, and overall period. I called in March of 2026 asking why it wasn't refilled, and that's when I was notified my Dr, Dr. Rupert left the practice and that I essentially had to find a new dr in order for it to be prescribed. Now, anyone with common sense would say, "that's not fair". I was never told she was leaving, and when I called they said they sent out letters about this. Never once received a letter and I had to be the one to find this out Instead of being professionally and properly informed like a dr's office should. Again, talked to a snippy nurse (everyone except the receptionist are angry elves I suppose) where she said I would have to find a new dr in order to get this. Frustrated and angry I reached out to my NP for it, but then went and go OTC ones at target. THEN, they suddenly started getting prescribed again? So, why was I told they were not able to if they then randomly started them again? Now, my last red flag was from today. That one random medication I was prescribed in October that I mentioned earlier was Spirolactone. I recently ran out this past week and went onto my CVS app to see why, and it said it was due to Dr. Rupert leaving. So, all this week I try calling them and again, they were somehow always not there or on their lunch break or closed already at 4:30. I'm trying to balance this as a 24 year old woman who works full time as well as is a full time student. I finally get ahold of them and talk to one of the rudest, cold nurses I have ever spoken to, the lovely Nurse Lisa I explain the spirolactone problem to her and instead of speaking to me with humility and compassion, automatically plays the blame game and says it's due to me not scheduling a follow up the last time I came and that I was informed of this in March. First of all, in March, I AM the one who called about my birth control not being filled, not them contacting me. And that's when I was informed if I want it prescribed again I need to find a new dr and see them. I won't lie, I was frustrated and more snippy because her tone automatically set me off of that this was my fault and she didn't care to listen nor help me. So she starts the blame game and I tell her that that was for the BC and if you guys only prescribe things for after a year, why has it almost been a year and a half and you're still doing it and then suddenly stop and one, not give me any warning, and two this is MONTHS after Dr. Rupert left. I listened when they said I needed to see a new dr for the birth control and have now switched to my NP, but for this spirolactone, I was still getting it from them. I have been off of it for about 5 days now and when you stop a medication like that, you clearly have side effects like getting dizzy, which I was getting. So I am trying to explain this all to the warm and fuzzy Dr. Lisa, you has straight attitude towards me, isn't letting me speak and cuts me off and tells me to not Interrupt her. I say are you kidding me, first of all do not tell me what to do, And she starts laughing and says I'm hanging up on you now. I tell her I'm calling HR or whoever on you and she laughs again and says this is your fault and hangs up on me. So I call again and am transferred to their office manager Rachelle who I of course had to leave a message for and now I'm here complaining. This surgical place has always has so many freaking problems with one even answering you, two getting you in, and three just being straight up rude (the receptionist Molly was a sweetheart though). I am clearly THEIR patient who is upset, experiencing scary symptoms from them not refilling my meds, and instead of Nurse Lisa coming in with humility, compassion, and overall customer service and ready to listen to a clearly frustrated patient in distress, she turned into a Karen (who is shocked with a name like Lisa who is a nurse, always the mean girls) who didn't listen and demonstrated horrible skills as a nurse.

I arrived 11 minutes early for my scheduled appointment. The front desk was upset that I didn't arrive earlier because they needed me to complete a packet of paperwork. They handed me what appeared to be new patient paperwork. I've already been a patient for several years. They insisted that I needed to complete the new patient paperwork so I did. When it was finally time for me to see the doctor, he told me that he wouldn't be renewing my prescription because I wasn't suffering from cystic acne. Well, no duh. I've been taking this medication for the last couple of years and it has successfully been keeping my cystic acne at bay. I need to have the prescription renewed so that I wouldn't start suffering from cystic acne again. After much back-and-forth, the doctor insisted that I had rosacea and not cystic acne so I did not get my cystic acne prescription renewed. Wouldn't you know when my prescription ran out the cystic acne returned just as I told the doctor that it would. Needless to say, I found a new dermatologist and don't plan on going back to Central Ohio Skin Cancer.
