Mr. Spencer Hill's initial response on yelp was quick. My first impression was that he seemed cleancut and ready to do good work. He came over, handed me a card with email and phone number on it and said he was available Thursday and Friday. I said i would like to book him those days. He would give me an estimate. He sent an estimate. I said yes please. He took several days to get back to me, and then said he no longer could honor those days. He offere me monday. Although i had plan to leave the state, I again said yes please. I was only available to be there that week, and i changed my flight so i could meet him Monday. I sent some follow up messages. I sent a confirmation query the day before. He informed me the morning he was supposed to arrive to work that he couldn't come. Another problem is that he arbitrarilly wants to continue communication through the yelp platform, which is really just for finding businesses and sharing feedback. As a cultural norm, people communicate by phone, text and email for regular communication. It's weird to arbitrarilly move communication back to yelp after making phone/email/text contact. It's very odd to expect someone to use yelp like a texing platform on a continued basis. How would a customer even know to look there for ongoing messgaes? I hire a lot of workers and i have never encountered this before. It's especially odd after meeting in person and handing a customer a business card with a phone number and email on it. A business should take in to account what the customary mode of communication is, especially for the client base it serves. In particular, I feel strung along by this business at a very real cost.

I found the stove online and called to place the order so I could discuss delivery specifics. I spoke to customer service, but they couldn't take my order, so I needed to get to appliances. The phone rang, and rang, and rang. If they were trying to discourage me and have me give up and order online, they did not know who they were messing with! Someone eventually got sick of the phone ringing and picked up. I placed the order and was assured I would be called Fri for a Sat delivery to break down the time range for us. Fri came and no call. I had to let the propane guy know when to be at the house to unhook/hook up the new stove. I called Lowe's and after another marathon ringing session, was told someone would call around 6 pm. No one called. By. 8 pm, I called Lowe's to advise them I was coming 3 hrs up there and needed a time, and was given a 4 hr window. Great. Next day, we called to get more of a breakdown and was told about a 3 hr window. There was no talking to the vendor who was actually making the delivery and everything had to go through Lowe's. We did finally get Lowe's to switch our delivery position as gas guy was on his way and somehow by the grace of God everything pulled together, but it was extremely stressful trying to get coordinated with it being a gas appliance and the delivery drivers won't touch it unless it is unhooked. I feel this process for delivery could have run smoother and there could have been more coordination without me having to battle for specifics. On a good note the price and selection of items is typical box store and reasonable.

When it was not here by 1330 I called the store 4x, let it ring 20+ times and never got an answer. I called the nationwide customer service. They connected me with driver dispatch, who connected me to the store in a way I actually got an associate. After she got hold of her manager they said they could leave it without a signature. I did not even care what time it got there As I needed it for 10/5 in the morning. I thanked her and took the girls to Fryeburg. While in Fryeburg I got an email saying the order was delivered. When I got home I found that was untrue. A third of it was delivered. So now I am going to have more hours on the phone tomorrow (Sunday) trying to get my order. And because I need it tomorrow and they probably wont deliver on Sunday I expect they wont bring it and I will have to spend a few more hours going and getting it. What a horrible experience. Don't ever use this store.

I refused to talk to anyone or turn out my pockets without a lawyer, police and proof on video tape. That was the only way they let me go. Cost me a whole day at police station, but now im suing their ass off. Do not shop here if you are a young woman. They are suspicious as hell, no training in shoplifting and will call cops thinking you stoke a $5 item. Who are these people????
