From start to finish, working with Allied was a terrible experience. First, we were told that the movers would come on a certain day, and when I called to confirm 2 days prior (because I hadn't heard back via email to confirm), I was told the movers would actually take 2 days and would come the next day. Next, when items were being packed, an entire closet was missed (Luckily, we did a walk through before we moved). Finally, Allied lost nearly $3,000 of items in our move, including our wedding silver, an unused designer purse and attachments for our Dyson vacuum (not to mention things we likely haven't noticed). When I submitted a claim, I was told that since we signed for our items, the claim was invalid (as if one could actually know what was in every box the day they were dropped off). We paid $14k for the pleasure of this terrible experience. AVOID ALLIED AT ALL COSTS.

We spoke with Mr. Ed multiple times. He assured us that his company did NOT contract out to other moving companies. Our items would stay with his company the entire move. We were also assured that our items would be in the very best hands and arrive with no issues. Our items were severely delayed in arriving, and not only that, but they arrived in the truck of a completely different company. Our move was definitely contracted out when we were promised this would never happen. The driver was irresponsible, picking up a friend to move their things for free, and delayed our move multiple days. When the doors of the truck opened, the items were crammed so tightly inside, driving over a speedbump would crack or break something. Other random items of his friend were also in the truck, further cramming our items into the back. We are currently going through the severely long claim's process to deal with the many many items that were broken, chipped, scratched, scraped, or ruined. We have moved many times and this is by far the worst experience we have had.

Home office checked in several times to confirm arrival times and made sure we were satisfied. Workers were VERY thorough in packing -- fragile items were individually wrapped in newsprint, padded paper or custom cut boxes. They even boxed up a grocery bag of trash we forgot about under a desk! Truck was loaded very professionally and crew was great to work with getting things into the right rooms in our new house. Only casualties were a broken dinner plate and a scratched IKEA desk that they were sure to touch up before leaving.

Many companies have bad customer service, but Fedex is far and away the worst. We had a few pieces of broken furniture, broken TV and damaged dryer. Allied paid to repair 3 pieces of furniture and refused to replace the TV and Repair our dining room table. When I asked why they just had me file a complaint. They really don't seem to care about the damage to my things. Our company will not use Allied again.
