I bought a brand new entegra ethos 20 T camper van in June 2024. It began leaking right away from the cabinet behind the driver seat. I brought it back in for service multiple times and each time they said they could not reproduce the leak. Sometimes my van would be sitting there for weeks at a time with nobody even looking at it. No one would return my call so I would show up in person in order to get someone to speak with me about it. After multiple trips back-and-forth to the dealership, they said they finally found the leak and supposedly fixed it. I was told they would be replacing the cabinets that were water damaged, but in actuality, they only replaced the front face plate and in the meantime, damaged the surrounding material And applied a thick bead of caulk that did not match the finish on the cabinets among many other things too many to list. The van is still leaking. They did not resolve the issue. I cannot get anyone to return my calls. I've left messages with service manager general manager technicians. They lied on several occasions first blaming the manufacturer for delays which I know was not true as I contacted the manufacturer and they had no record of them even submitting a request for service. I would not recommend buying anything from this dealership. Once you give them your money and leave the parking lot, they couldn't care less about you or your vehicle. read more

Wish I'd read the reviews before we did business. We stopped on impulse on our way through Florida looking to upgrade our camper. Salesmen was knowledgeable, Mike S, the staff fawned all over us while showing us numerous units. When I left we had a deal for a unit for a $1,000 deposit and it would be $xYZ a month out the door. Said sure. Got back home. They ran my credit and then nothing. No one bothered to call me that the banks were fine approving me for the amount but not the monthly amount the dealership and I had agreed. At least not without another $11,000 down payment. I said no, that wasn't what we agreed and they would need to drop the unit price to make that difference. They said they couldn't. Ok, so I said I would not be going forward with the deal. They understood and said they'd refund me deposit. 3-5 business days. It's now day 8 and no one will return my calls. I've left numerous voicemails. Their service on the back end after they make a sale is atrocious. And I'm in a completely different state; I can't pop by Ocala. All they have to do is reverse the payment they took very easily. Brought my RV in 5 weeks ago and nothing has been done. After three weeks, the assistant manager, Will Perez took over our case and looked me in the eye and promised he would get to the bottom of the problem AND that he would communicate. He sent a text that day saying there was an electrical problem. Right, that's why we brought it in. Since then Will Perez has ghosted us. He will not return a text, email or phone call. The manufacturer has also told us that no new warranty work orders have been requested. They have had our rig five weeks and done nothing. I Wish I could leave a "0" rating! We drove 8+ hours to deal with this location and put a deposit on a motorhome before we left. Although our sales consultant was great, the motorhome was "sold" by another salesperson due to a cash offer on our sales consultants day off. We were never contacted until after the fact by the sales manager (Tom P.), who was rude and covering his tail since the fact that there was a contract on the unit already. No chance we would ever buy from General RV, or recommend them to anyone else. We have called the General RV corporate office and also, since we have followed Matt from Matt's RV Reviews for quite some time and took the trek to General RV in Ocala because of his videos, we tried to contact Matt back, as we spoke to him by phone on the day of contract signing. We have not heard back from anyone. Funny thing is, when the cash deal fell through, they had the nerve to call to see if we were still interested. Find a local family RV dealership to deal with and stay away from the likes of General, and other dealership chains, they are all the same, promises, promises, promises, with no true ethics in the sales realm. We purchased a class A motorhome in 2020 and the purchase went smoothly until after everything was signed and payment was made, since then we have had nothing but problems with warranty work and regular repairs! Their lack of getting back to customers, the wait time after scheduled appointments, is nothing short of terrible! We had another experience yesterday by having a 9:30 appointment and they never even looked at it until 3:00! This is the type of experience we have had time after time with this company in Florida and in Michigan! All they can say is that's not what they strive for but here we are along with hundreds of other dissatisfied customers and all they can say is call our customer service. What does customer service say about my RV siting on your property for 2 weeks then they say come pick it up and sign the release paperwork but when we looked inside no one even touched the peeling doors but they did take a pass and shit in the toilet leaving evidence. This place is an absolute JOKE!! We attended a RV show in Jacksonville in February 2021. We placed a $5,000 deposit on a 5th wheel that was needing to be manufactured. Two days after placing the order we had a major family event happen so we called the finance manager and explained that we would not have the ability to continue on with the order. We asked for a refund and were told it was non refundable. I have never seen a contract that didn't have a cool off period. Since then I have been unable to speak to the operations manager even after several emails and call. My service advisor has refused to send me repair updates and now refuses to even send what they repair. Do not purchase a camper from this dealer. I bought brand new with the hope I would only have minor kinks to work out but far from it. They delivered it and I noticed water in the bedroom, the new camper window leaked. Told me they had to order window and they would call back when they received it. I never got the call. I called and called about the window and awning that needed to be replaced. My floor became soft throughout the entire camper. When I called and told them my floor has been compromised they said they knew nothing about the window being ordered and said they would call me back. Never heard from them. I had to call corporate to get them to fix it. They finally came and got it, kept it for almost 7 months, dropped it off to me the day before the hurricane hit and when I got it back the air didn't work and did before they took it. When I called about the air they told me I had to pay because it was out of warranty. They kept my camper 3/4 of the warranty. I have to pay for something they did,makes no sense. Corporate said they offered me discounted parts but was offered from dealer to buy an extended warranty for 4000.00. I still have to find someone to fix the air and paid 40,000.00 for this. One star is being generous. We traded our 2016 Jayco Precept for a 2019 Fleetwood Southwind recently. The sales portion of the experience was awesome. Our sales person knew all the features of this coach in great detail. We agreed on a price and sat through the financing process which was also presented in great detail. A fixed inspection price of $2600 was included for a "detailed coach inspection". The delivery agent was also extremely knowledgeable about this coach and was able to answer all our questions. After the inspection they took the coach to fill the propane tank while we waited in the lobby, and waited, and waited. 3 hours later we were informed the furnace was not working, needing a control board. I agreed to take the coach as-is with General agreeing to furnish a new control board that I would replace. Finally back in our campground we find the the 50 amp power cord plug was miswired and spent the first night without power. General agreed to reimburse me for the plug repair. Over the next few days we found that the ice maker did not work along with a broken front stabilizer link on the passenger side of the coach. It has been 3 weeks since that fateful day and General RV does not answer our voicemails or return our emails. At this point in time they owe us nearly $500 and still refuse to communicate. We bought a previously owned Tiffin Phaeton from General RV In January of 2022 at a fair price. We knew the unit had great potential since the diesel engine only had 30k miles on it. Once we got into the coach and took it out for a weekend we found many things that had been neglected and needed repairing. The service department at General RV of Ocala were wonderful in their attention to my very long lists. We even had to replace the refrigerator which was no small task for the service technicians. My hat goes off to Service Advisor Kevin Murray for the diligence and attention to detail he provided. He was easy to communicate with via email and didn't even flinch when I came back with additional items to repair. Update: 1/31/2023 Summary I dropped off my RV December 30, 2022 and it has been over four weeks that I have not received an update and the service representative (Kevin) nor senior staff (Frank) have answered or returned my phone calls. We bought a camper from Trampas, our sales agent, about a month ago from General RV in Ocala. We couldn't be happier with the experience. Now, before I begin, let me tell you that our experience was not perfect. But our experience was very enjoyable and General RV went above and beyond, even if something went wrong. First, from Trampas, to Micah, Tyler, and Alisa, the friendliness was always on show. They all in their own ways took extra time to help us since we were first time camper owners. Micah, spent time helping my wife get all of the parts from the store we would need. However, when we got checked out, the discounts were not added. This was a situation with their computer, however, when discovered they made it right quickly and they were already discussing ways to make sure it wouldn't happen for future customers among themselves. I just got a check back in the mail last week for $14.50 that was overcharged on the title. I would have never known, yet here I have a check sitting here in my hands and a number 1 value meal from Chick-Fil-A in my future. Upon delivery, two fasteners flew off the camper. Instead of still delivering it, the driver turned around and took it back to be repaired instead of bringing it to me with the defect. When we did our walk through we saw a light acting up and they fixed it right on the spot and replaced it. Trampas, was extremely patient and thorough. We brought our 7 kids with us to check out all the campers since they would be living in it as well. Including our 10 year old who is Autistic. Camper after camper we searched trying to find the right one and Trampas was very knowledgable and very understanding to the chaos that can surround a large family especially one with special needs. In the end we decided to go with a camper that we already looked at recently at Camping World. We had no intentions of buying today but they made us an offer that was too good to pass up and crushed what the competitors were offering to the point that we decided to buy right then and there even though we lived an hour and a half away. Again, was the entire process completely flawless? No, but could I tell that they cared deeply for their customers and worked hard to make sure our experience was great? Absolutely. For that reason I give them 5 stars. We don't ever expect perfection, but we do expect friendly service, a passion for a product, and a commitment to the customer. Was going to retrack my statement I wrote 12/2/2022, I glad I did not. Nothing with this organization has changed! well, yes it has, it's gotten worse. When in the purchase phase, Kevin promised quick service and very little down time if we bring it to them for repair. UPDATE--- The week of 14 July called to schedule a redo of warranty work that had been completed in Dec/Jan. It, AGAIN, took 3 weeks to get the unusable RV into the shop that I purchased from this General RV Center with the promise of quick turn around repair. I turned it in on Friday Aug 4th. I know nothing was going to happen from Friday thru Sunday. 2 weeks later I called to attempt to get an update, because they never contacted me. Called several times over a 3 day period, never received a call back. Went to the shop, waited an Hour to see the service manager, Garry. He explained to me and showed pics of my repair items the current status. "Waiting on JAYCO to tell them how to redo the repair they screwed up last time." He put a requirment for my service consultant (WANDA) to update me every 4 days. Well, I do get updates. However, The update is "We actually have it in the bay and we are working on it" WTF 2 more weeks going into the 3rd with "Wanda" and still no update. Can you imagine, drop your car of at the shop and 5 weeks later you still don't have it. You call and they say, "look, I have 40 customers, I am really busy and can't drop what I am doing to help only you, Like I said, we are working on it. Your Rig is actually in the shop". ACTUAL WORDS FROM WANDA. Do not purchase from General RV in OCALA Fl. If you are on the road, call someone else for needed repairs. I feel that, since i am questioning their ability to perform and manage maintenance, I have been purposely pushed to the back of the line. UPDATE Went to Gen RV to check on ride, Again was told and shown it was in shop being worked on. (in shop is right outside the bay). Was told I will get a real update after the mechs upload their data at the end of today. In the meantime, JAYCO got the real update for me "Gary from General RV and he states when you brought the unit in on Aug. 4, 2023, he told you the unit wouldn't be touched for several weeks. Bought a brand new Key Stone Raptor from here. Within less than a month of ownership generator would not even start, shower was leaking, one of three AC units would not cool and the other broke down and would not turn on. At about 1 month the ceiling in the master started to leak... and the list goes on. For a brand new rig just goes to show the quality control of this place. Worst part is took it in to fix and it's been over 3 months and for about 1 month I've been trying to get ahold of someone for updates and no response. Our experience was TERRIBLE, the sales team was awful, the business mgr. continuously failed to help us, and ultimately our deal did not go through. We ended up at General RV due to a guy on YouTube (Matts RV Reviews) doing some really great RV overviews! On his channel he mentioned that there was a RV show in Ocala FL, and after watching numerous reviews we decided on a Model of RV and bough our one-way tickets to Orlando and then to Ocala. Sales Team is a joke...I called, I used FB Messenger, I emailed and no one EVER returned my messages, finally by using Matts website email form a person at General RV returned my email, we exchanged a few and then I went to call him and his phone was not working, wth??? So then I called the store directly and was transferred to another salesman, who at least seemed interested in selling us a RV, well when we arrived at Ocala and called him for directions to the show, he gave us directions 30 miles off in a different direction, again wth??? so hearing about the show on the radio we were able to figure out where the show was and was pleasantly surprised to meet Matt from the YouTube channel, so that was fun and all, then he introduced us to yet another salesman, who showed us around, eventually we picked out a RV and then was handed off to the Business Mgr for the sale...now we encountered more problems...All he could do was fill out the paperwork...??? he didnt have any answers about the RV, he didnt have any answers about financing, he didnt have any answers about really anything, the copier didnt even have any toner in it and we had to take a picture of the purchase order with our phone. (the irony for me here was that the same organization that couldnt stock a copier with toner, had no problems getting Chick Filet for the team in the tent, but not toner...) After we took the picture of the purchase order we were pretty much on our way, but now for some really irritating moments: We bought the RV on a Thursday but was told we could not pick it up until the following Wednesday, after we left on Thursday, we were unable to reach anyone for 4 days as to the status of our loan and the RV we thought were were buying, NO ONE would return our Phone calls or our texts, not at the show not at the store not via any method of communication, talk about frustrating...now as for actually paying for the RV, We had CASH $65k to buy a RV that sold for $71k, add in Dealer Prep fees (approx. 4k) and Dealer Transport fees (approx 4k) plus tax (which the business mgr could only estimate for some reason) our out the door price was close to $80k so we were curious if we could finance the rest of the deal, this was on a Thursday, the Business Mgr could not give us an answer and indeed did not even call us back until the following Monday only to inform us that they were unable to find financing for the balance?? We weren't given any options, they didn't want to renegotiate the pricing, nothing except saying that they could not move forward with the purchase and that we would be getting our deposit back in 2 or 3 days...BTW I'm writing this on a Thursday and its been 3 days since they cancelled the deal and I still don't have my deposit back. what a horrible experience it all was. On a good note, IMO after doing months of research and looking at the pricing at the show we found General to have some of the best pricing on RV's that they sell, not that we could buy any of them lol. I received a very disagreeable phone call from Daniel in Michigan, refusing to give me a quote and telling me the only way to purchase was to sit down with one of their salesman and write up and order, choosing the specific options, etc. that I wanted. I just bought a new Springdale camper from here. If I only had to deal with service it would be a 5 all day. The salesman that sold it to me lied of course. He said I would get 2 batteries and a solar panel because I wasn't thrilled that the fridge only ran on battery. When I did my walk through I mentioned the 2nd battery and solar was not in it. The service man said he would write it down and let sales and finance look into it. The next day I picked the camper up and finished the paperwork. The finance guy said my salesman wasn't in that day and they would reach out to me. Of course no call. Typical dealership. Once they have the sale you are no longer a priority. read more

This dealer would not fix our motorhome issues under our warranty. They actually ordered parts and then LOST them. They would not reorder them because they would have to pay for them. Would not recommend. read more

I have owned a unit for 5 months we bought from General and they have had it for four of those five months. You call and text and ask for managers and no one is available or in a meeting. Paying $900 a month and can't even use it for something that could be fixed in a few days at best. read more

We have a Grand Design travel trailer that we are living in full time.  We had warranty work that needed done, plus we wanted roof inspection & to add slide out covers.  We have worked with General RV in Flat Rock, MI as they were the closest service provider and had a great experience.  As we were in Ocala, FL, we decided to go to the Ocala General RV.  This was a mistake and I would recommend against using this facility if you can.  They tout "camping life" and getting your rig back to you as soon as possible.  However, if you are not willing to nag them and demand service, you will be forgotten, and your travel life disrupted.   Quick synopsis - made an appt. planned on three days, they forgot about trailer for 2 days, then could not get warranty work approved due to be being late Friday afternoon.  No communication from service rep and when we went back on site received a sob story of "we are sooo busy, we can't keep up with the work."  Three days turned into 7 and they said it was done.  Arrived picked it up on Thursday night to leave for Asheville, NC next morning.  Found that it was not fixed and had to go back in for repairs the next morning.  We were four hours late getting on the road. Besides the aggravation and uncertainty due to lack of communication, we were out 3 days hotel costs, had to crash with cousin for 4 nights, lost one night of camping fee, and found out today that not everything is truly fixed. We had a leak and its still leaking.  I did talk to the service manager (Kevin) and got the same story of how they are understaffed, too busy, not expecting the amount of busy, etc.  He said he was to take care of everything, which not sure if timing or if he expedited, but trailer was ready within the next hour. Kevin said he going to do a walk through with me to ensure all was fixed to my satisfaction.  He went to get his coat as it was cold out.  I never saw him again.  I did my inspection, hooked up, waited, and he never showed. Finally, after about 15 minutes, I had to get on road, so talked to service rep. and left. Morale of this is they are so busy they don't need to worry about a single customer, so don't bother going to them. read more

I just bought a travel trailer brand new 2022 unit last Monday, took it camping on Wednesday, saw a terrible leak in my awning and in my bathroom. Took my trailer where I live in the Orange Park store and they are giving me a hard time about repairing this under the warranty. These Dealerships charge a $2500 prep fee for the trailer before they sell it to me to do what exactly? Move it around in the lot, drag it to the walk through location and send me on my way with a leaky awning and bathroom? But apparently they did inspect my unit and "I signed for it as is" Now they want me to come pick up my trailer and wait to hear if the warranty will fix this or not. This shows me they did not inspect my trailer and sold me a $60,000 piece of broken junk. Just For the record Freddie the sales manager needs to find an occupation not involving customer service. If he continues to talk to people the way he did to me, im sure someone will leave him a permanent crooked smile. Chris York my sales man was awesome, he's a good guy along with Wayne in finance, He seems nice. I Pre did my paper work with wayne. Then I showed up the day of purchase after completing my walk through for the trailer And waited for the other finance guy Darrin to walk by and talk to us. He just walks by, petted my dogs and went out the front door. We Waited 40 mins and saw him walk back in with Popeyes. After complaining and telling them I was going to leave and forget the new trailer I would take my old one back home, the finance guy darrin finally came to get us. Turns out, he told us not to sign a few papers because his partner was "over documenting ", but yet now they haven't paid off my old trailer I traded in because they still haven't submitted my paperwork. Absolute clown show. Proceeded to wait another 2 hours for them to "transfer my hitch sway system from old unit to new one" Save yourself the hassle and buy from somewhere else. The service departments are awful to work with and tell me "we are not a storage facility". well great, fix my brand new leaky trailer and I'll be happy to come get it. 904-718-6414 for any questions.
