We bought our RV here one year and one month ago. Apparently there business model is get it sold and forget the rest. Since taking delivery of this new unit in January 2021 it has been back four times. Today we were there to pick it up only to find out the unit was still in the body shop. We were called earlier in the week to pick it up today no less. Now our service consultant was also unaware it was in the body shop. The reason was they ran a screw from the inside to the outside and didn't let anyone know. Buyer beware from here. This iin general is a problem with the whole industry. However, considering the cost of these RV's you should be some much better than this. Disappointed!!!!! read more

What a nightmare! We met with the salesman Mike Sciotti to buy a 2022 Dutchmen (Keystone) Yukon 421FL. Great salesperson, nice, knowledgeable, bent over backwards for us. Five stars for Mike, Zero stars for General! He spent 3 full days with us while we were trying to decide, looking at it, going over everything. We were going back and forth between a Grand Design Solitude and this one, but finally decided that this was the one for us. Things went downhill fast when after the finance guy (Wayne) had all of the numbers worked out for us and we had to finalize the deal with the idiot "Freddie", the supposed "sales manager". All we wanted was an extended warranty thrown into the deal since we were paying pretty much sticker price as advertised on the internet. Nothing else. No discounts AT ALL. Another dealer in Winter Park had the same model that INCLUDED a Lifetime Warranty and was $500 cheaper. This "Freddie" guy actually yelled at us and told us that we "Already bought this one because we signed the purchase order", and said "What do you want from me? I'm not giving you anything for free, these are the numbers you agreed to, this is the deal, there's nothing else to discuss". He was VERY intimidating and confrontational, so much so that hubby had to leave the room and stand in the hallway because he was afraid he would punch this guy. My husband has been in sales most of his life, owns his own business, and would NEVER treat a potential customer like this. We were TOLD to give the 1k deposit, credit info, sign on the dotted line to SEE what they could come up with money-wise. Not a sale, just an inquiry. Wrong. He told us that we were supposed to be taking "delivery " today. WTF?? He told us that an extended warranty was "mandated by Florida State Law" to cost an extra $6,500 for 5 more years. No thanks. Lairs. Never again. We were warned by others in the campground and locals to STAY AWAY from General. Now we know better. RUN, DONT WALK, away from these thieves. read more

They requested to see the current offer ( totally expected) but than to provide any consideration of the price they started pressing to provide them with credit card information to show seriousness. We are currently shopping for a pull behind camper. We are trying to explore all the options available. We are not sure exactly what will work best for us. We where definitely made to feel to insignificant to mess with. Both my husband and myself got the impression we were wasting Matt Williams time and to picky in what we were wanting. So it ended up being a waste of our time. I really hate that I had to give one star to give my review. It was a big disappointment. In my opinion it is a better use of your time to deal with smaller family owned dealerships. I would rate them 0 if I could. I purchased 1 $300,000.00 RV from them and have nothing but trouble getting help. First they talked me into a coating that is supposed to keep it looking new for years, over a thousand dollars. You can just hose love bugs off, they said. No black streaks, no chalk lines, we will send someone out to wash it if it doesn't hose right off. We will wash it once a year they said. I called and asked for help with dirt and love bugs and their response was no we don't come out to wash it. I asked for my money back and the response I got was once it's applied you can't get a refund. It's a coating like cerra coat $20.00 bucks at walmart. My induction cooktop and oven quit working. Both sinks have fallen into the cabinets. Outside stereo has no power, macerator doesn't work, bathroom window leaks, entrance door lock tumbler stuck. Had to drill it to get in. I called them every day for weeks, nobody returns my calls. I have been six months with no cooktop or oven. These people are the worst customer service people I have ever encountered. An assistant mgr. finally returned one of my calls. I explained some of the problems and described that I had called every day for help. He said. we assigned it to Kevin months ago. Do want me to fire him? I responded that if I had an employee that ignored customers pleas for help for six months he would have been fired months ago. read more

We purchased a pre-owned camper. They were supposed to repair broken items and replace the battery. When we picked it up a week later, most repairs were not done and the battery was not replaced. We had to wait a long time for work to be done. In addiiton, no one told us we needed a certified check. After we drove an hour to get there, then we were told to go to the bank and get one. Our bank was not nearby so we had to come back. We do not live close. After we got home with the camper we got a call several days later saying they forgot to charge our card the correct amount for the down payment. Very disorganized and unprofessional. read more

To say I had a bad experience is an under statement. I would not recommend General RV to anyone. Phone calls were not returned, Storage keys to unit were lost, walkthrough found minor damage not corrected, inside unit was not cleaned nor washed. First outing reveled tire pressure totally incorrect and low and the in house battery was defective and had to be replaced and my list could go on. For a company the size of General one would think they have their S**t together but I found out the hard way they don't. read more

I had my Class A diesel pusher in for some body work after backing into a tree. Kevin in service was great to work with. He took care of all of our needs and got everything done in about 3 weeks. I hope everyone else can get the same service as well. I have had issues at other places. read more

We bought our RV new from General RV in Ocala 3 months before we rubbed a oak tree with it. We took our damaged RV to General RV Ocala in June 22 they told us several months later it was totaled. It is now January 3 and they still have not finished with the General RV insurance company so we can get our money from them. After this experience I think only a fool would do any business with them. Kevin Murray never returns calls or e-mails. I would never trust them again. I am 73 and my wife is 80, we don't have much RV time left and General RV is waiting it. read more

experience was TERRIBLE, the sales team was awful, the business mgr. continuously failed to help us, and ultimately our deal did not go through. We ended up at General RV due to a guy on YouTube (Matts RV Reviews) doing some really great RV overviews! On his channel he mentioned that there was a RV show in Ocala FL, and after watching numerous reviews we decided on a Model of RV and bough our one-way tickets to Orlando and then to Ocala. Sales Team is a joke...I called, I used FB Messenger, I emailed and no one EVER returned my messages, finally by using Matts website email form a person at General RV returned my email, we exchanged a few and then I went to call him and his phone was not working, wth??? So then I called the store directly and was transferred to another salesman, who at least seemed interested in selling us a RV, well when we arrived at Ocala and called him for directions to the show, he gave us directions 30 miles off in a different direction, again wth??? so hearing about the show on the radio we were able to figure out where the show was and was pleasantly surprised to meet Matt from the YouTube channel, so that was fun and all, then he introduced us to yet another salesman, who showed us around, eventually we picked out a RV and then was handed off to the Business Mgr for the sale...now we encountered more problems...All he could do was fill out the paperwork...??? he didnt have any answers about the RV, he didnt have any answers about financing, he didnt have any answers about really anything, the copier didnt even have any toner in it and we had to take a picture of the purchase order with our phone. (the irony for me here was that the same organization that couldnt stock a copier with toner, had no problems getting Chick Filet for the team in the tent, but not toner...) After we took the picture of the purchase order we were pretty much on our way, but now for some really irritating moments: We bought the RV on a Thursday but was told we could not pick it up until the following Wednesday, after we left on Thursday, we were unable to reach anyone for 4 days as to the status of our loan and the RV we thought were were buying, NO ONE would return our Phone calls or our texts, not at the show not at the store not via any method of communication, talk about frustrating...now as for actually paying for the RV, We had CASH $65k to buy a RV that sold for $71k, add in Dealer Prep fees (approx. 4k) and Dealer Transport fees (approx 4k) plus tax (which the business mgr could only estimate for some reason) our out the door price was close to $80k so we were curious if we could finance the rest of the deal, this was on a Thursday, the Business Mgr could not give us an answer and indeed did not even call us back until the following Monday only to inform us that they were unable to find financing for the balance?? We weren't given any options, they didn't want to renegotiate the pricing, nothing except saying that they could not move forward with the purchase and that we would be getting our deposit back in 2 or 3 days...BTW I'm writing this on a Thursday and its been 3 days since they cancelled the deal and I still don't have my deposit back. what a horrible experience it all was. On a good note, IMO after doing months of research and looking at the pricing at the show we found General to have some of the best pricing on RV's that they sell, not that we could buy any of them lol. For us it didn't work out, but it appears that General RV has some really good employees there that are capable. Find those people! but for us its not so good... read more

Don't buy an RV form them! We bought and paid cash for a 200K motorhome from General RV and immediately had major warranty problems. We can not use it, it sits on the General RV lot since 4 months. They say that they wait for a part from the manufacturer but Jayco tells me that they can't find a part order. General RV does not answer the phone, barely replies to emails and gives us the run around around. We must now take legal action. read more

This is the worst rv center. Ever since I traded in my travel trailer in 2019 for a 2019 Triton 5th wheel toy hauler its been nothing but trouble. The generator transfer switch needed to be replaced within 6 months, both a/c units went bad at the same time within a year and now the refrigerator. And trying to get an appointment for service is a nightmare, they don't answer their phones. read more

Went to service today to ask for estimate , pretty simple repair , lovely young lady greeted me called for shop manager who brought the Forman who glanced at told Me to pictures and send them over to the young lady and he would write estimate over next fee days , I asked would like to take the picture now while I have the unit here his response no I would have to go back and get a step ladder you can do it at your convenience. General RV Ocala really gets 0 stars. Once they had our check, everything went south. It started the day of delivery with our coach being flooded with water and not disclosed to us and ended 5 hours later with us walking through the rain to where our coach had been dropped off, with a fridge that wouldn't get cold, a missing table pole, and a long list of other problems. These problems and others took months to be fixed despite General RV having it for over 5 weeks. Every time we pick it up after "repairs" there are new wall and floor dings, new problems and always excuses.Do not buy from them. Can someone connect with me about why & how can we get the General RV Ocala to send our DMV registration submitted. We signed our paperwork on May 26th & our DMV has NOT received the paperwork for our registration from General RV Ocala. When we picked up our RV on July 2nd, I confirmed with the General RV DMV guy that we did our paperwork with said he sent in our paperwork to Alaska & we just called Alaska DMV & they have NOT received the paperwork/registration for our RV from General RV Ocala!!!! In 2 months & 1 week today is when we signed paperwork & we've been waiting for General RV Ocala to send the DMV registration paperwork to Alaska DMV...... really not happy!! We've been calling General RV Ocala all morning & no one from their DMV/registration department will answer their phone or call us back! We love our RV, we bought it through their Online department, but chose to pick it up at the Ocala, FL location. Trying to get ahold of someone besides the receptionists that send your calls to the wrong department is horrible! Really poor customer service, not how a business should be! read more

Please believe the reviews you see here. We have had the same experience and lack of returned phone calls. This is the worst place to deal with. You actually have to show up to talk to anybody. Receptionist will answer the phone but you will go to a voice mail where nobody calls you back. Save yourself the stress and aggravation. Buying an RV should be a good experience. Before you buy, call a few service departments and parts departments and see if the call you back. read more

Not good service at all. They wont call you back. Went there two weeks ago with intermittent brakes as we were on out way to Ohio to spread father in laws ashes needed it fixed. They supposedly fixed it. Also charged for labor. This is a 2021 carbon Toy Hauler. Nope within 10 miles not working again. Decided that we would try the dealership in North Canton Ohio. We crept along and prayed. Got there they fixed it and never had a problem. Said it was a warranty issue and we should have not been charged. So now we wait again for service to call back which doesnt happen. Im pretty disgusted. I see a lot of people walking around service socializing and in competent mechanics. I wish there was an option for zero stars. Going back to January 22 2023, we went to the Tampa RV show. I spoke to a Morryde employee and decided to purchase 3 items. A step above 3 step, a telescopic handrail and motion activated light. We walked up to the register and was handed off to another guy who placed our order and had us pay in full. At this point we were told that we can pick our items up in 3-5 days from the Ocala location of General RV witch is 1 1/2 hours from us because it was closest. After a week and no one calling us, I call the Ocala store to ask if my order had came in. They told me not yet, probably another week. I call back after another week, still not there. I also asked to make sure that all 3 items were ordered, they told me only 2, the steps and handrail and that I need to call the Tampa/Dover store because they are the one who took the order. I now call the Tampa/Dover store and ask about the order and get the run around that Morryde was not ready for such a large order from the RV show and was having to build everything, I also ask them about the 3 items and was told that Ocala keeps the steps in stock so they only have the light and handrail on order. Another week goes by no call, when I call , yet a different answer and they are going to have the Parts manager call me. Never a return call. I call again after a week, still no truck from Morryde. (During the past couple of weeks I have already called General RV competitors and mock placed orders online to check availability of all 3 items, every place in Central Florida and online was in stock). My wife now writes to Morryde asking about the situation and they get right back to her that We can reach out to the parts manager in Tampa/Dover for questions. 1 day after Morryde's email, 3/10/23 a girl from Tampa/Dover calls and tells me that my order has came in and in 3 hours it will be in Ocala. I ask her if all 3 items are there and she said only 2. She said that the steps and handrail was the only thing on the order and that she would have the parts manager call me right back. No call. I now call the Ocala store 3/13/23 to check my order and speak to the parts manager, they said he had already left for the day, I try the General manager, he's also gone. I ask for any manager, they put the sales manager on the phone and we talk for 2 minutes and he said he is getting the parts manager right now. He sends me to the parts managers voicemail. I call right back, rings several times then hangs up. I try 2 more tims and same thing. This is all before they close at 6pm. 3 minutes until 6 I call back and the receptionist picks up. I tell her I was just on the phone with the sales manager and need to talk to him, she told me hang on.The phone now continues to ring for the rest of my 30 minute ride home and he never picks back up. I'm still without parts. Not sure even what is at the Ocala store. I just want what I have paid for almost 2 months ago that I could have bought anywhere else same day. We are now working with Morryde to suggest stopping business with General RV because it is making a bad reputation for their name since we were under the impression at the RV show that we are buying straight from Morryde. We are also reaching out to the National RV Association to not let General RV back at their RV show due to bad business of a vendor that is misleading and not following through with paid for products. If I would have know up front that I was not dealing with Morryde, that it was actually General RV, I would have never purchased due to how many bad reviews are everywhere against General RV in the RV community. read more

I went in because I watched Matt from Matt's RV Reviews who does a great job in getting you in the door, but once you get there expect the sales team, reception, and the finance team (namely Kevin Scribner (Sales), Jon Etter (Finance), and Jenny (Reception) to give you the runaround. They won't return your calls (Kevin did at least try and get me help but with no success) and they won't refund your deposit either if you don't go through with your purchase. I won't go into any more details but if you want to be treated better go give your business to LazyDays for better service and pricing. Even the manager came out to make things even more uncomfortable. We are in the market for what I consider to be an expensive motor home maybe 200 k is our budget. We are going elsewhere. My camper spent more time in the shop then at home with me. I've had numerous problems repaired and some they forgot to repair. Its been almost a year since I've purchased my camper and still some of the original problems had not been repaired. Just recently I found a panel that was missing from the top of the steering column when I first purchased the camper. I didn't notice the panel was missing until almost the end of my first year of the warranty. The panel was located in an area were it would be easy to miss. I was told that I needed to find a Ford dealer that would work on fixing the problem. I told General RV that this was wrong and they are definitely responsible for getting the panel because it should have been there when I purchased the camper. I'm still getting the run around. For months I had tried to talk with someone in management. They will not answer their phones and will not return your calls after leaving a message. Even worse, if you call numerous times, the receptionist will ignore your calls. I used my wife's phone to call back and they answered right away. The receptionist denied ignoring my call when she saw my number on caller ID. We the people need to take a stand. Let them know you will not buy anything until they do right by you and others. Go into General RV and let them know you saw this review. If you don't say anything then this will not matter and they will continue to take your money and not give you any good customers service. I just want to spend quality time with my family before its time to leave. It can't be done if your camper is in the shop. Good luck. read more

We had a terrible issue with these guys. We have came 100 miles from home to camp with our parents so we can look at campers down in Ocala. We stopped in a General RV and seen a camper that we liked, we wanted to continue looking at other location and campers before we made our mind up. We found another camper that we liked at a different location. We contacted our sales man from General to find out the ins and outs on the camper from their location. I didn't want to waste anyone time and go back and forth. They told me that they wouldn't give me the price on the camper from them until we were in the store. Then wanted us to send them a quote from the camper we found at a different location. We indeed sent them the quote and they stated that is not a quote. The sales manager gets on the phone and begins to tell us that he was sorry that we couldn't afford a camper from them. For someone to tell me that has no right to tell me what I can and can't afford. Then wants to tell me that the camper we found at a different location is no good that it does not compare to their camper at all. I(my parents) deal with General rv in our home town and we have never had any problems with them. They have always been great. I will never come back to General rv of ocala for anything and I will tell everyone I know what happened while we were and turn them away from this location read more

Terrible terrible piece of junk I bought for sixty thousand, never have been able to use the toilet there's a pipe running under the toilet if you go member two you have to find a stick to push it in the tank ughhh the diverter broke right away, four months for appointment after a month they hadn't moved my trailer, this read last year, so I picked it up, doors don't shut, electronics don't work, closer sold me a worthless extended"paint"warranty I figured out, leaked like a sub from day one, infested with carpenter ants from day one, second time at trying for repairs, appointment days four months out again, I keep unit beside my house with AC running for humidity, don't ever use it because it basically has no indoor plumbing, now I went and opened it.. It's RUINED!! AT THIRTY MONTHS OLD we had one rain storm a month ago and it filled the ceiling with water, completely ruined the camper and now I figured out (my fault) I have no insurance the policy I thought was for camper was for a dump trailer, I dont think it would of been covered anyway. Now I have a forty thousand dollar pay off on a piece of shit I've never used and couldn't sell now for five thousand..OMG????!!! read more

His tone and attitude projected that we were an inconvenience and stupid even though the dealership was not busy. Two brand new campers..Can't make it 1 trip..Buyers beware of this place ! first one a salem/forest river 20k brand new.First trip out entire wall on outside of unit was coming undone.Ac went out,had to cancel trip and come home because we couldn't leave our dog in the camper 86 degrees in side.We than 2 months later had to upgrade to a bigger salem/forest River 38k brand new..First trip out.Water would not work..Jacks would not go down at all.This is so real not made up.Around 11pm 4 kids 3 are mine,one is our best friends.Smoke alarm goes off and fills inside of camper with smoke/Odor Another trip canceled due to camper,no water and kids too scared to get back in.Dropped off camper 2/21/221 have called asked for a manager to call back with documented call log.Each to Kevin and Tom.called dozen times.No return phone call.Today 3/11/21.Went to this place and no managers are able to be talked to,they are both busy..after 30 mins in the lobby waiting on one.I get Mike a assistant manager with nothing to say other than it's going to go in to be looks at in about a week..With COVID we are backed up.They have signs stating if you have an emergency they get you going again.Called keep you camping.How can a place stay in business with this kind of customer service.Not one apology or a call to say sorry for destroying 2 family trips.Out thousands of dollars on pre paid travel plans for booking.Most importanly they don't even care enough to give a call back.when this camper caught on fire no flames but tons of smoke and the smell of electrical melting.Oh And with the smaller kids in age they pushed the screen out on one side of the front door and when asked if they could fix this Ron my service advisor says we can't fix that,your going to have to pay for this because our techs don't works for free ! It's a 30 second job And I have bought 2 campers from you guys.I would never buy anything from these people again.I highly would recommend going somewhere else to shop for a camper !!! read more

literal worse experience in all the yrs we have owned an rv. this was our 5th one and we from grv and purchased ours for nearly 300k cash nothing but issues. first yr we had it they had it in the shop for 122 days. still not right. we are having to sell this one bc we cant solve the issues. read more
