I recently purchased a truck from this dealership, and while there were parts of the experience I…read moregenuinely appreciated, there were also some major issues that I feel need to be shared. To start on a positive note: I love the truck, and the buying process itself was smooth and straightforward. The staff were friendly, and I drove off the lot feeling good about the purchase. However, a few things after the sale have left me pretty disappointed. First, I felt underpaid on my trade-in. I was told the value was lowered because it needed new tires--but then the dealership listed and sold it for significantly more without ever replacing the tires. That felt frustrating and misleading. But the biggest problem has been the mechanical condition of the truck I purchased. I live three hours away, so returning to the dealership for repairs wasn't realistic. Almost immediately after getting it home, I discovered several serious issues: The front brake rotors were warped, causing the steering wheel to shake violently when braking above 60 mph. This wasn't noticeable during the test drive since I couldn't reach that speed. The next morning, the serpentine belt began squealing when the engine was cold. The following day, the rear brake pads started squealing constantly, forcing me to take the truck into a shop. After inspecting the truck, the shop informed me that: -The front rotors were severely warped and needed to be replaced -The rear brake pads were worn out and rubbing the indicators resulting in the replacement of both brake rotors and pads. -The serpentine belt needed to be replaced due to the cold‑start squealing These are all issues that should have been caught in a basic safety or mechanical inspection. Instead, I ended up having to put a significant amount of money into repairs immediately after buying the truck, which was extremely disappointing--especially considering my trade‑in had zero issues. Overall, I'm happy with the truck itself, but extremely disappointed with the condition it was sold in and the lack of a proper inspection. I hope the dealership takes this feedback seriously so future customers don't end up in the same situation.

My F350 is the 2nd vehicle I've purchased from them, both being an easy process. No, I don't work there and I don't hang out with the owner. I'm a local customer who trades with local businesses. I recommend SHF to anyone looking to buy a new or used car or truck.

Nice sales guy but the finance person ruins the experience…read more This dealership is about 50mi from me, so I called ahead to confirm some things before going there to check out a car. I was told over the phone that they accepted Ford X-Plan (partner/employee pricing), and used the website to get a quote for the car I wanted sent to my email. Additionally, I had two other dealerships make offers for my car as a trade in before I went. When I got there, everything was nice and pleasant with the salesperson, but the finance guy was off in space. He tried very hard to ignore the quote I had gotten and added $3k dealer markup anyway, said that they actually would not accept the X-Plan discount for no discernible reason, and would not budge from a trade in offer that was $3k less than any other dealership on my current car. When asked why they wouldn't get closer to a reasonable trade in offer, he snipped back with "Well, we're the professionals here". I would say if you have to go out of your way to go here, get the offer in writing first, but... apparently that doesn't matter either.

Battery service plan she did not understand or request. Bluetooth brake control she does not understand or need. PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) for a travel trailer that her vehicle does not require. Hundreds of dollars in filing fees and taxes, and failure to offer her the option to tag and register the trailer herself. My mother did not fully understand many of these charges at the time of signing, and they were not adequately explained. Several appear to be unauthorized upsells or redundant products. These practices, combined with the physical defects and the earlier incident where she waited over six hours for promised vehicle service (forcing her to walk in the rain), demonstrate a clear pattern of taking advantage of an elderly customer.

We now have an awning that is still not functional and needs more work. This was paid by insurance upfront and they tried to charge us additional money. They are not honest, they do very poor work and have multiple different explanations on what is wrong. I would never recommend there company to anyone I know. We will finish the job paying out of pocket elsewhere due to how bad they have treated us.

According to "The H.A.M.B.," much of the steering and suspension parts that come out of China need to be banned... I think "Down Under," they have. But overall my experiences in buying aftermarket or OE parts has been a "buyer beware" proposition unless the part is made in the USA or isn't essential in the vehicle's safety and operation. What I liked about Car Quest/Advance was their guys could find solutions for the most oddball of applications... I have a 44 year old "Captive Import" 4x4.... its not stock, but try and find OE electrical, HVAC, and suspension parts for it... As such with a GM harness, Car Quest/Advance found right off the shelf, a simple GM 1 wire alternator. NAPA had no clue what I was talking about, and O'Reilly's was just as dumbfounded.... 'it's not in the computer." Sure, it required modifying the OE bracket, but it works perfectly. Another street rodding friend has a '41 Chevy.... try and find the little odds and ends, let alone some big ones for a Chevy small block that don't quite fit... and they found solutions. You cannot find that kind of face to face customer service on eBay or Amazon. Therefore we need to support our local brick and mortar auto parts stores.
