Wow!! This place is absolutely amazing. I found this place for my dad who was desperately looking for a skilled and HONEST mechanic, and we sure did get just that. My dad had been quoted outrageous amounts from other mechanics and still was never given an answer as to what was wrong with his truck. The Ultimate Truck Service not only were upfront and so honest with my dad, but also didn't even charge him because it ended up not being anything wrong with his truck. We were at the mercy of a mechanics expertise, and when these people could have ripped us off and/ or still charged him, they didn't!! It's hard to come across honest people these days and we can't express how much we appreciate the honesty. I will be spreading the word EVERYWHERE about this place. Took our motor home for a new transmission and have our brakes checked. The work only supposed to take about a month. When we called 3 weeks later for an update they were rude and wouldn't tell us any information on the new transmission and it would now be another 5 weeks before the work would be done. Also got several different bids with duplicate or incorrect charges. Finally picked up our motor home and got home we discovered that ford frames rails where soaked with transmission fluid, the carpet and chairs were full of grease from the mechanics, our toilet was used, and it now had a vibration and didn't shift properly, the doghouse weather stripping wasn't installed correctly either. We were not happy at all with the service but gave them the chance to fix the issues. Took the motor home back the following week and they did fix the vibration and tried to clean up the tranny fluid and furniture and carpet as best they could. They lost the inspection plug to the new transmission and had to mail that to us a week later. They also broke the fuse relay box and refused to fix it. We had to deal with this for over 2 months. They did shoddy work and I should not have had to point out the problems, not a professional shop I do not recommend them, what a clown show! read more

Do not do business with these people! Took my Dually pickup to them, they diagnosed it as a broken crankshaft, ok, not good, but ok let's put an engine in it. Mind you , it took them over a month to get to this point. So when I got their estimate on replacing said engine I was totally shocked! $60,000, I've got it in writing! I don't know if they just didn't want to do the work or if they couldn't do the work either way they priced it so exorbitantly that they knew it would chase me off. It did! So it cost me 200+ to have it towed to UTS, nearly 800 to get it back from them and another 200+ to tow it to another place. Cost for doing the job at new place, less than 20,000, not cheap, but not $60,000 either! read more

This was my second time at UTS with my 99 Dodge diesel. With 200,000 miles I figured I'd get some preventative maintenance done with a valve adjustment and have my hoses replaced. They also diagnosed that the exhaust leak I had noticed was from a cracked exhaust manifold. which I had them replace. After a couple days in the shop a girl calls me up to say there's nothing wrong with my heater hoses and do I really want them replaced. I told her yes, I just had the main hoses replaced at a New Mexico Dodge dealer and wanted all the rest replaced to assure no future problems. I had a set of 8 new injectors installed on my Powerstroke diesel by Ultimate truck. They seemed fine and professional at first less than 2k later my truck lost power and started smoking dark smoke on my way home from the coast. I had my truck towed there to be evaluated. Two weeks later they said I had a blown head gasket and they wanted to charge me 12 thousand dollars to fix it. I had it towed to another shop and gave them the paperwork from ultimate truck. They said they would do their own evaluation and trouble shoot the issue. Come to find out the fuel injector in cylinder #1 was hydrolocked by diesel fuel and not coolant. The injector in cylinder #1 was not properly torqued down and the fasteners had come loose causing loss of power and made the truck undrivable. I called several times before I received an email stating that they would not care to resolve the issue. In other words they don't stand by their work. For the amount of money we pay repair shops they should stand by their work. The management or owner values money more than the integrity of his business. There are shops that back their work and do it correctly the first time. I would recommend taking your truck there. This is my honest experience with this bussiness. read more

This company overcharged us for an easy oil change because they decided to do additional inspections with out asking first (we were charged for an inspection that was three times the price of the oil change). Maybe this is my fault for not setting a price cap, I've never experienced a mechanic shop charge me for work that wasn't either approved, or ask for. read more

4.5 stars to the gentleman who came out to look at my bus. He was friendly and seem to know what he was doing. He worked for about 40 mins trying to diagnose my issue. Said his goodbye and was on his way. 45 mins and out. I was happy till I got the bill an hour later. I agreed to the 1 minimum and drive miles. Except now I'm told I'm paying the whole hour service charge, 30 mins of drive time (@190/hr) and mileage of 1.50 each. At no point was drive time discussed. Even when I was comparing the "in house" rate vs "mobile", I mentioned at only $30 it was worth it to me. I feel like this is bad business practices. I must take it as a cost to knowing better next time. Again, no fault on mechanic services. But, I feel quite let down UTS. And, I believe they have, sadly, lost my future business. read more

Unfortunately Ultimate Truck Service gets no stars from me as my experience was very unprofessional and unscrupulous. I brought my rv in for a tune up because it was running poorly. I left my rv the morning of my appt. and when I came back at the end of the following day,the mechanic was finishing up the bits and he showed me a couple of burnt wires. Even though i was happy that my rv was getting a much needed tune up my bill was an outrageous amount of $923. I gasped as I did not get an estimate of the cost when I had brought my rv in for my appt.I am a designer and My lively hood is selling my art at back to back Music festivals all over the west coast during the summer months,( traveling in my rv./trailer) I CHECKED WITH ANOTHER AUTO REPAIR WHO SAID THAT IT WOULD ONLY TAKE -2-3HRS AT MOST FOR A TUNE-UP ON MY RV. After leaving UTS, I was on my way to a festival about 4hrs south and my rv was running much worse than when i had brought it into UTS. I was super stressed as I had very little Power and I barely made it up the mountains at 3mph with a trailor in tow. Luckily I had already made another appointment with UTS to fix a valve cover gasket they said needed replacing on my first visit. Long story short i limped back up to Vancouver driving at night so its less stress on my engine. As i got near i called them and said i was going to drop it off as I have no power. They said no, dont come in and that they needed to cancel my appointment because they were overbooked from the contract they have with the County Fair . I said No im coming in Now ,as i pulled onto their road. I walked into the office , i got stink eye from about 5-6 workers and the owner grabbed my keys and in a huff went outside and started it. he came back in and said yep its missing and I needed to leave it . I was relieved, as i live/work in my rv in the summer and was in the middle of a festival and my brothers wedding at this time. Thankful that they were going to fix my power issue,I picked up my rv 2days later and was told that they had forgot to put in a rotor on my first appt. and that was why it was missing so bad. They also said that after they did a test drive and it was still missing they went back into my engine and replaced a fuel injector, thinking that this was the issue?. and gave me a Service Bill of $825.( I need to say that UTS Never called me to tell me this or ask my permission to replace a fuel injector.) I was literally in tears in their office as they also said that i needed a new engine. I asked them for the Diagnostic tests that they had ran and he said that "i didn't need it because it was all written in the invoice". Feeling very forlorn and stressed, as i had just had a new tranny put in the previous year ,and now I needed a new engine that UTS said was going to cost me a minimum of $10,000. Apparently, with a new rotor and 1-fuel injector they felt my initial problem was solved and I should be good to go. Again, i was feeling relieved to be back on the road Assuming I had more power now and problem solved. Now $1748 down I left ,however ,once on the highway I could feel that Nothing was solved, because Iwas still Missing big time and had very little power. I had no time to even think but just pray my way straight across the state to my next festival, the Oregon Eclipse Festival, wondering if I could make it on a wing and a prayer. After the festival I figured I needed a new engine right away so i cancelled my next festival (taking a loss of pre-paid booth fee of $675 for late cancellation) and I started doing some re-con and found some affordable rebuilt engines in Watsonville,ca. and a reputable rv repair shop in King City Ca (My Auto Repair)..My estimate for the swap plus engine was under $5000. I limped my way south and dropped off my rv at this shop so they could put a rebuild engine in while I flew to Florida to support my folks through the devastation of Hurricane Irma. While in Florida, My Auto Repair mechanic called me and said that based on the compression test(160lbs all the way around) I didn't need a new engine. But after their initial inspection they found Major Faults. 2 spark plug wires were crossed , 1 spark plug wire was melted because it had been routed in- correctly allowing it to rest on the exhaust manifold. In their professional opinion they were wondering how I even made it down to California in this mess. They said I had old spark plugs and different colored spark plug wires that didn't look like a set or new?,really? Since they forgot to order the rotor did they forget to order spark plugs and wires or did their mechanic take them and botched up my job with band aids? Also all of my wires were left un-tethered and dangling that potentially could have caused a serious accident for me. Back to the beginning, I came in for a tune up and left with no-rotor and crossed wires and told I needed a new engine.Stay tuned because as of now they dont want to take any responsibility. read more

Hands down, the BEST people around! Our motorhome broke down on I5 in the middle of the night, with kids and dog in tow. This was the closest place that popped up and serviced cummins diesels. We limped it to their shop, and parked out front and waited for them to open (8am). At 7am, mechanics and staff were beginning to arrive. They got us in RIGHT away and began working on our rig. Everyone was so incredibly polite and professional. They had us back on the road by noon. And the bill was a fraction of what we expected.
