I let her chose the best facial treatment for me, and was happy to see that she didn't jump at the opportunity to suggest the most expensive service availbe. Quite the contrary, I received a relatively mild vitamin c facial treatment for sensitive skin which was very appropriate for me given my dermatolic history and the fact that I was new to this spa product line. The best part- Katia added in all types of complimentary services during my facial that I did not expect. She gave me a hot stone massage on my arms, massaged my scalp, "zapped" a few blemishes, and even tweezed a few stray hairs. After my facial was finished there was no pressure to buy products or reschedule for another service. Katia gave me a few product samples to use over the next month and informed me that future appointments can be scheduled if I like. One word of note, don't let the drive by appearance of this spa fool you. The spa is in a charming cape that seems like a private residence from the road. However, once you step inside you will have entered a "pamper and relaxation" oasis with a well appointed waiting area and private and soothing rooms. Take care of yourself and enjoy!

She asked me a lot of questions and took the time to look closely at my hair before she started. Everyone at the salon was extremely kind. The salon is clean and beautiful. It is very clear that everyone there is knowledgable and professional. That being said, I really anticipated giving this salon an excellent review. I brought a picture of the color I was hoping to achieve. Unfortunately, after nearly four hours, my hair was no where near what I was hoping it would be. When I saw a friend later that evening she said, "I thought you were going to get your hair done today?" I'm not necessarily unhappy with the color, but it looks VERY similar to what I came into the salon with. My visit was also a lot more expensive than I anticipated. According the salon's website, the full cost of a haircut is $50 and the full cost of a full foil is $110. However, when they rung me up the total came to $225. I asked for one inch to be trimmed off and received a balayage. I understand that a balayage is not the same as foil highlights, but I wish I had been advised that this service would be a different price. I was expecting the total to be around $160 and only brought enough cash to leave a tip for that amount. I didn't question the price when I was checking out because my stylist was near the front desk, and I did not want her to think that I wasn't appreciative of her time and effort. She really did spend a lot of time with me and was very thorough, but my hair doesn't look much different. I think the toner made the most difference. In February, I visited a five-star rated salon in Nashua, NH. I received the same services, a cut and balayage for $140. I decided to try out this salon because there were so many great reviews online, and I thought that the prices seemed very fair, so I was a bit blindsided by the final price. Lastly, some of the bleach must have gotten on the chair because the shirt I wore to the salon has several spots of bleach on it. I had bought the shirt the day before my appointment, so I was pretty bummed. Overall, I can see why people like this salon. I wish I had a better experience because I really liked it here.
