I usually only come to Geneva for pedicures - the staff are very nice and clean really well. Tools are new and sanitized. You can call ahead to see if they're busy, or just walk in and shop the mall while you wait. Nails.. I would probably go somewhere else. It's convenient to go to because it's inside the mall, but the convenience also comes with an up charge. I feel awkward there at times because there's no music so you are basically getting your service completed in a quiet, blank salon. Please be specific on what you want if you are getting your nails done! The techs work fast, but you also want quality nails as well. read more

Love love LOVE this place. They gave me exactly what I wanted from the inspo. I asked for acrylics plus this design and they served it. It was such a relaxing vibe, i came kinda close to the end of the day so it wasn't busy. The one thing I didn't love was the price, it was pretty pricey (but getting nails done is a pretty pricey hobby lol) But honestly the nails lasted me sooo so long and the design was so accurate and cute. I was able to get in and out very quickly. The convenience of allowing people to shop while I'm getting my nails done was great. The shop is freezing cold and they have space peters going, but I can't imagine how the mall can allow them to be so cold. My nails came out great. The people in the shop were lovely. I was in desperate need for a manicure so I went to Geneva Nails and Spa. It is conveniently located in the mall and I went soon after opening so there was only 1 other customer in the salon. The other staff were just on the phones and/or chatting. It was $25 for a gel manicure which isn't bad compared to other places. There was a Yelp review about the smell once you walk into the salon and even with a mask on, you can definitely smell the alcohol or the cleaning products. The gel manicure did not take long and it did not feel rushed, but after it was done, I noticed that the gel was not smooth. There were these bubbles or holes. The manager the one in charge asked me about three times If I wanted to get my feet done. I told her the first time I didn't want to get my feet done, so I got upset and I told her that every time I come here they insist to get other things done .As I was getting my refill done, The lady doing my Nails kept making me feel uncomfortable asking me the same questions over and over again if I like my Nails, If I like the color .I told her that I like it the job she was doing .The whole hour She was doing my Nails she keep talking . I like to relax not to be told the same thing over and over . The manager and her coworkers was really unprofessional Because after I got upset they were talking about it afterwards. I can't wrap my head around these low reviews, considering there's only a couple but I came here sort of late (around 8:30) when they close at 9 and instead of them being frustrated and annoyed they appeared happy to have me as a customer. I came in for a gel French pedicure and was really happy with the $55 price tag. As the last time I got a gel pedicure (and it was like a 20 min pedicure) it cost me $75+ tip!!! So $55 was PERFECT for me! This place is very clean- immaculately so and I could see the women cleaning up as it was the end of the night! In my opinion the nail technician did a good job considering the time frame she was working with. She also went past 9pm (as she sort of had to lol) which was when they closed. Poor thing didn't leave until 9:30 (a half hour after they closed). But she did an awesome job removing the dead skin & I could clearly see it on the towel- so I know they did a good job of removing it (for once)! She also was really gentle with my toes and skin surrounding it. She even gave me a quick massage at the end that I figured I wasn't getting because of how late I came! I'd definitely return- albeit during the day not 20-30 mins before they close! We will see if it lasts (as gel shouldn't chip)! Also she did a BEAUTIFUL JOB! Friendly staff, and good prices, but I'm not a fan of what I received. My tech seemed new. She nipped my toes a couple of times with the cuticle clippers and then the way she removed my acrylic nails ... by using a fake nail to put under them and PRY them off. It hurt. I also feel for those who are germ squeamish, this is definitely not the spot for you. I personally did not see any tools being cleaned during my time there, and the nail files she pulled out of the box looked dusty. My natural nail, painted decently, all proceeded to crack and fall off and upon taking off the polish, my nails look ROUGH. I know they're probably damaged from the previous acrylic, but she didn't take the time to file them evenly with a smooth file, or file the top at all. Would go back again for a pedicure though. I might try again in a few months to see if anything has changed, or try a new tech. read more

This nail shop was taken over and renamed before it was a nail shop that had been in the mall for years which had a bad reputation. This shop is refreshing, modern and screams elegant compared to the old shop. Staff and owner are very knowledgeable I showed them a photo of a neon color on Pinterest and they found the exact dip powder color down to the T and explained to me benefits of dip v. acrylic and gel which was helpful. They don't have matte top coats yet, they claim to have vegan cruelty free products which I guess is cool and a plus if you're into that. Went here and got acrylics removed - they used too much pressure on the file. They were also impatient and didn't want to put more effort into soaking my acrylics off like I asked. I went right at opening time so no need to rush. I asked to turn the pressure down but the damage was done. My nails were so thin. The French manicure looked nothing like how I wanted and less than a week later almost ALL of my nails on the left hand (non dominant) are breaking in the middle. MY NATURAL NAILS. If I could, I'd give half a star. They do not actually uphold ANY of the standards they list. I reported my experience to the manager, who ignored me after saying she would "investigate". Eventually, she responded and felt that a full refund was unwarranted. I had explained that none of the tools were cleaned, and were shared among the staff. My friend cried out in pain multiple times when getting her gel manicure removed and was simply told not to move (she wasn't) and that beauty is pain. This same friend was given a terrible design on her ring fingers hat was supposed to match a picture she provided (I included it in my review, and to the manager). My nails were so "complex" according to the manager. Apparently, that means that it was okay to skip steps, rush us out, do a messy job, take personal phone calls while doing our nails, injure us and belittle us. Keep in mind, we were nothing but polite and pleasant. Which the manager even said her staff commented on and praised us for. I have reported them to the BBB for unsanitary practice and unprofessional-ism. Addressing their "GOLDEN RULE" listed on their site: - single use tools were not used. Nothing was "packaged". - none of the equipment was cleaned or sterilized. The tools were shared among the staff, and were reused on all clients. - we arrived an hour before close and were rushed out and the services provided were half assed/steps were skipped. This "allotted time" was theirs to determine. I would have rather been told they didn't have time to provide their promised level of service. Also, no manager made sure we were satisfied. - we were traded off by the staff. - they spoke nothing but their native language when in front of us, unless we spoke to them or asked them a question. Their answers were often given with annoyance in their voice. My tech personally made multiple phone calls while doing my nails. I've included pictures of the rushed/ poor work and injuries AFTER cleaning them up. **UPDATE** The manager agreed to a full refund IF my friends and I returned to the location and had all the work removed. As if that will help her or her employees? This request is completely childish and spiteful. Oh, and she still didn't address the lack of spoken English, their lack of time management, their lack of hygienic practice or total disregard for all of their promises listed on their website. I offered to remove my reviews and not take this to the BBB if a full refund is provided AFTER arguing back and forth, just to call it even. The manager accused me of extortion and then went on to say she was willing to negotiate. She made it very clear, multiple times, she was not. I have kept all the screenshots of our conversation. Was told I could do a gel mani, regular pedi at 7:15 tonight. Got there ~10 min early. Pedi was fine. Cut me several times during the gel mani and didn't even acknowledge it as I was bleeding. They prepped to close for the evening and pulled the gate halfway down, manager (?) stood directly over me with her coat on for almost the entirety of the manicure (came over once the tech finished filing). At the end, my gel wasn't dry but they insisted it was. Put oil on my fingertips and I asked them not to, as I didn't want it to get all over my steering wheel. No lotion/hand massage which is fine but when I asked to not use the oil, they then wiped it off with paper towels and smudged my nails all over the place. I pointed this out and was told no that's not a smudge, they're dry. At that point, I wanted to get the heck out of there so I didn't argue but my nails look awful, didn't love getting cut and bleeding, felt incredibly awkward with someone standing over me in their coat to hustle me out. They were extremely nice and understanding and did a fantastic job. Not once did I feel like T was rushing through my pedicure, and the nail salon was extremely relaxing. From reading the reviews I was excited to try this nail salon, especially with it being open til 9p. Long story short. The service was below what I was expecting. My pedicure was mediocre because the exfoliating process was not thorough and the towel she used was cold. No lotion was given either. My pedicure was done faster than the 2 women sitting next to me who started theirs way before mine. I honestly could've done a better job at home. Then for the manicure, the shavings from my previous manicure was done right over my shoes so I was left with a sandal full of nail dust, grosssss! The technician rushed through the manicure because she didn't clip my cuticles neither did she give me any lotion, she just put it in front of me. With the amount I spent I was very dissatisfied. Hi, I decided to write a review after my experience because I'm very picky when it comes to getting my nails done. I was very hesitant to come to Geneva because last time I went to the mall for my nails, the nail technician was on her phone for half of it and didn't do a good job with even making sure my nails were even. I booked an appointment for a Monday after 10 on a Sunday evening after 9pm. I have to say, I never had any person answer so fast on yelp before. It was very refreshing to be able to just message on here looking for availability for an appointment. I even had to push back and come come later and they were fine with it. When I arrived, everyone greeted me with a smile and I didn't wait long at all to be given to pick the color I wanted. It was really nice to be able to get my nails done and see someone very intricate and were making sure my nails were not different shapes or sizes. My favorite part of getting my nails done here was the wax on your hands at the end, it was amazing, my hands are still very soft. After 3 days, I was doing some cleaning and noticed my nail felt off. I immediately got on my phone and messaged them to come in to get it fixed, I did notice it was after they closed so I figured I wouldn't get a reply back until the morning. Immediately I got a reply back to come right away when Im available in the morning. I definitely will be coming back here, the best thing of all is that I live only 5 minutes away as well. Before I was commuting to almost a half hour away from me. The prices are a little higher then I'd like but, my nails also were in desperate need to be done, and I wasn't charged for repair either. I tried getting a design yesterday and when the woman could not do it, she blamed me for picking a design "too hard" and said my nails were "too short". I've gotten many designs in my life more difficult than this and with much shorter nails...so not sure why I, as the paying customer here, was being blamed for their incapability? The people are not willing to work with you and have very limited flexibility with their services. I've been to this place twice now and was dissatisfied with my results both times. They did not treat me with any sort of respect, which is the least I would expect for how much they charge. I am more than willing to spend money on a good quality service, but this felt like the biggest waste. The last time I was there, I left the salon with my cuticles bleeding from how rough they drilled into my nails. has such an awful experience going here to get my nails done for my cousins wedding. got a mani pedi & the girl who did my nails made them all different shapes, it was horrendous she took an hour and a half just on my hands, and she didn't do a good job. when i told the "manager" of how horrible my nails looked she provided no assistance. she just told me the girl who already created the mess would "fix it" at this point it was a joke, why would i want the person who already did a poor job doing my nails, to fix my nails, its evident she's not the tech i want. I just moved to PVD and needed to get my nails done. Google search showed Geneva as the closest nail salon, and even though the average rating was not that high, I decided to try my luck and went there. It was Saturday morning, and there were just two people working. I immediately had someone to do my nails (both Mani and pedi). More clients were coming in and putting their names down. Everything seemed fine. The place looks very new (I was told they opened five months ago) and clean. I have nothing bad to say about the pedicure ( except for the nail technician repeatedly pointing out the fact that I had lots of cuticules and she could tell I hadn't had professional pedi done for a long time- I felt bad but tbh lady, give me a break! People have different reasons for not getting professional pedi, okay. Not like my toes were gross or something ). Anyway, pedicure was just fine. Manicure was a huge problem though. When she finished removing cuticules, shaping the nails, she asked me to dip my hands into liquid wax to moisturize the skin. Although it felt nice and it def made my hands super soft, I believe it affected the second part of manicure - polish application. The technician applied polish and top coat and it looked just fine but when I moved to the drying station, the color would separate and leave these streaks ( see the pics). I asked the technician to fix it, she covered it with polish and top coat and it would look good but after drying - the color would separate, almost shrink and there would be those gaps again. I felt bad and annoyed and didn't want to ask to fix it again ( by that time there were too many people waiting to get their nails done). I just left with this ugly manicure, thinking that my niece would paint my nails better and I wouldn't have to spend $55 on it. I've gone to most of the nail salons in Providence once but have never been satisfied with the results enough to return to one. Geneva has officially changed that! Went here on a whim today in order to get my nails done before leaving for a trip. All of the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I got a dip manicure and it came out great! This use to be my go to spot because it is close and convenient but honestly I've probably had 6 gel and acrylic sets done and the prices are a lot for the CHEAP products they use. My nails always look horrible not even a week later. I tried to give them chance after chance but THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT AND THEY ARE VERY UNDER STAFFED! For the last 3 days I've been trying to get in to fix 1 nail that broke from the set I got from them!!! Every time they are too busy to fix 1 NAIL! So today I call before hand and asked if they were too busy to take me in to fix my nail so I asked when the next available appointment is. She said that they don't take appointments for just 1 nail to be fixed. So I asked her how long it would be to wait it I have to walk in. She said that she has no idea and for me to come in and check! I asked her what is the difference if I asked over the phone or went to the place if they couldn't take me at that moment anyway.
