Service was fantastic. The gentleman behind the counter had to be an owner. He was extremely passionate about pizza and offered some suggestions on what to try as well as a detailed explanation on a bunch of different items on display. Prices were reasonable as well. I love places like this. I tried a chicken caprese slice, chicken marsala slice, a regular and a Sicilian. They were all fantastic. Walked in before heading to work and was greeted with a smile by a female at the front counter. Maybe Josephine? Lots of guys working to fulfill orders. Nice display case of drinks from bottled to canned sodas, Stewart's glass bottles, Snapples-galore and 2 liters fit for any family or party! My slice more than pleasantly surprised me! The dough was not too chewy, but fluffy. The bottom wasn't burnt, and had such a delicious crunch. Sauce was great and I will definitely be back next time I'm working in the area. The best pizza on Long Island! The best! Large slices, grease dripping, melted cheese and thin crust. Fantastic. It was nice and hot too. I'm a sucker for a pizza lunch with a soda. Jack's was a recommendation from a dear friend. She has never steered me wrong when it comes to food. She delivered here! When we walked in we placed our orders and sat down. The staff was amazing. More like 3.5 stars. Solid, standard pizza place. I had a large Caesar salad (chopped) with grilled chicken. I asked for dressing mixed in. Dressing was not mixed in. Sigh. Calamari was good. I tried the chicken parm too and it was fine. read more

Had time to kill and was hungry for lunch and thought pizza would be good to try. Glad to see they sold warmed slices and not just whole pies. I got a traditional pepperoni slice, a piece of grandmas with just cheese and a Dr Pepper. Total came to 11 bucks. The pepperoni was the stand out, crispy crust, good blend of cheese, pepperoni tasted good too. Pleasant staff who were friendly and a lot of regular walk ins who made it feel like a good vibe all the way around. It's been years. Nearly 50 since O had a slice of pie here so expectations were high and driven by memories from my childhood. Still located in the same place though it's footprint has doubled over the last few decades, this is still the place where memories are made. Good, hot pies with dripping cheese and sauce. The flop dead on and the spices just right. Not much in the way of decor but that's not what you are here for is it? Was in the area for work. Pre-ordered a pie and garlic knots so it would be ready when we got there. It was ready within minutes of our arrival. At the time, I wasn't very hungry. I didn't get to try the pizza or garlic knots. Within 10 minutes, hunger strikes. I decided on a sausage and pepper hero. I went to the counter and placed my order. I was asked if I wanted garlic and oil or marinara. Garlic and oil of course. I told the lady at the counter that I was sitting with the big group and pointed to our table. I waited...and waited. Over 25 minutes went by. I went up to the counter to inquire about my food. It was in the bag and ready. The same lady at the counter said, "I was looking for you! I didn't know where you went..." I'm not sure how long it was sitting there..but I didn't go anywhere... The hero was tasty. Generous amount of sausage, and nicely cooked peppers and onions. I ate takeout from Jack's a few times with my ex-boyfriend's mom and his uncle. He wasn't around for those times. I love their pizza. I guess it's like most pizzas on long island but I have no complaints about it and it's very tasty. Nice balance of dough, sauce and cheese which some pizza places mess up with. Living in NY sets a high standard for pizza, I get that, but do yourself a favor and do not order a Sicilian pie or slice. The sauce isn't good and the slice is HUGE. I know Sicilian slices are supposed to be thicker, but good lord did I order a sheet cake? The slice is so thick that it can't even fit in their to go boxes or your mouth. Attached you'll see my first red flag for this place: ruined cheese. I can't speak for their other food, but if they can't make a good Sicilian than I don't want it. read more

Nothing Special - I was passing through the neighborhood and happened to pop inside; - I ordered a regular slice and a Sicilian slice. The Sicilian tasted very "Cake Like" - Regular slice was fair @ the very least. I suspect that this place is very popular with the Island Park locals - Otherwise, I think "Pizza Options" are limited in this "One Horse Town". - Plenty of better options across "The Channel" in Long Beach - But, than again - I'm more sure if their is sufficient "Potable Water" in that town. What was up with the stolen cocktail salt shakers that were floating around this place? Overall - didn't enjoy my visit. Would not make the trip! read more

After a long day of running around and get soaked in the rain, my boyfriend and I decided that we deserved pizza. It's been a while since we've stopped by at Jack's. Maybe even over 6mths! Initially, being that we were hungry and wanted to see what slices they had available, we didn't notice they had a renovation until we were inside. They've expanded their seating area. There are more tables and chairs available for dine in now. It used to be a tiny space with about 4 tables and booth seats, now it's an open area with plenty of space to enjoy your dine in experience. My boyfriend and I ordered 3 specialty slices and some plain cheese slices. I had the chicken marsala and the mac and cheese slice. I was iffy about the mac and cheese thinking pasta on top of pizza might be too much. I was convinced when the staff said there are 5 types of cheese in the mac and cheese slice, I was sold! My boyfriend had the bbq chicken and 2 plain cheese slices. When we got home and opened the box, I saw 3 plain slices. Hmm.. an extra slice? I'm not complaining I went for the mac and cheese slice first thing! Took a bite and was blown away. It reminded me to the city's artichoke pizza slice, but not as creamy, just more cheesy! Thanks to the guy that recommended it! Chicken marsala is a pretty hefty pizza, but it was packed full of chicken and mushrooms. I tried a bite of my boyfriend's bbq chicken and that was good too! For our typical Friday night pizza take-out, we made the switch from East End to Jack's about a year ago and haven't looked back. Nothing against East End, they're perfectly fine pizza parlor; Jack's is a notch above because of their specials. The "Family Special # 1" is a great deal: regular pie, chicken roll, dozen garlic knots & 2-liter Coke for $21.95! Specials are meant to incentivize you to choose said business and this special does just that. Obviously all this would be moot if Jack's didn't serve up delicious food and have great customer service, which they do both in spades. You can tell they take pride in being a trusted establishment in Island Park and that's reflected in any/all the interactions I've had with them. read more

A pizzeria with a plethora of options. Multiple types of pizza, roles, calzones and they are delicious. The chicken bacon ranch slice seemed weird at first, but it was really good. The regular slice, the grandma slice and the white slice were all wonderful. They even had some stuffed artichokes, which I almost never see anymore and it was very good. My only gripe was that things weren't heated up enough even though we waited awhile, but the food is good enough that I won't focus on that. read more

Must have got a new cook cause the food from the kitchen is way better. the sauce is a million times better, the meatballs are huge and super tasty. As for the pizza, it's all great. Doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but truly a hidden gem. Parking lot with street parking as well! My friends and I came from pretty far and had spent the day at Robert Moses beach, we were starving. The original spot we went to was closed, we ended up driving over here because it was near and the reviews were excellent. Thank god we did! You walk into a warm welcoming and cozy feeling. Prices are fair and staff does well with recommendations. FOOD IS GREAT wish I took some pictures of the pasta/ziti/burgers/and pizza. We all got something different and tried each other's food, wasn't disappointed by a single tasting. Where they truly shine is the EXCELLENT SERVICE. It's unmatched. We went on a Friday night, two gentleman by the name of jack and another by chad (I believe those were the names) were the ones who greeted and took our order, placed us on a nice table that would fit our group. Chad (I think) was behind the counter taking orders and seemed busy but still made sure to keep passing by us to see how we were doing. They checked on us quite often to see if we were satisfied and needed anything else. Very well spoken, and kind gentleman. These guys treat you like family and it makes you wanna go back all the time, they even spoke to us for a few mins after our group dinner! They have a new pizza. It is thick crust with "Luciano" sauce on top. It is SO good!!! It has chicken and cheese and spinach and other ingredients. Delicious!!! The staff is a friendly bunch! They smile and generally seem happy to be there. The son who is usually at the counter is cheerful and will banter with you. They make a great plain slice. My favorites are the Chicken Caprese slice and hamburger slice. Place is very clean and parking is easy. read more
