Genroku is always my go to chinese takeout place. The quality is consistently excellent, the flavors just right, everything is just so so good. Wish they would put the twice cooked pork belly on the doordash order menu!

We spent our Sunday family lunch here. We ordered House Special Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Dish Fillet, salt and Pepper Pork Chop. All tastes great. Serving staff is friendly and we had an amazing time. Neatly decorated dining area. We will be back to try their sushi menu next time.

This place is a a favorite of my family's! We are Taiwanese & find the dishes pretty authentic. We always get the 3 cup basil chicken & this time we also got the beef tendon app, which was so good & just the right level of spicy. The salt & pepper shrimp was good too! Convenient location & easy parking at the original Richardson Chinatown plaza.

This restaurant has been open for over 25 years and has always been my favorite spot for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Today is my brother's birthday, and we decided to go there for dinner upon my request. Lily made the most delicious dishes for us! I will never stop going there! Best restaurant In town

This is always my favorite place for salt & pepper tofu. And when there's a slight char, it's even more delicious. For those that like periwinkle meat, their basil and periwinkle stir fry is amazing! Genroku is one of the best places to find you want traditional Chinese food. The staff have been here for as long as it's been open and they are really sweet.

FOOD - Stir fried vegetable with beef - The beef had great flavor with the sauce and the leafy vegetable was cooked great. It was tasty and crunchy. Great ingredients and cooking! - Salt and Pepper Tofu - the tofu was in small pieces which allowed for the tofu to be super crispy when fried. It had great flavor and the onions on top were super sweet and yummy. - Fried Flounder with Salt and Pepper - The fried flounder was also very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside where the meat of the fish was. The onions had that great pan-fried flavor and were sweet. The onions were actually so yummy and made the dish soooo yummy. - Basil Eggplant + Chicken - I haven't had eggplant before in this style but it was pretty good. The dish came out steaming hot and it was soft eggplant with thin strips of chicken. Pretty great flavor overall! - Crispy Fried Pork Intestine - This dish was super crispy and well cooked. Not a very common dish to people who aren't fan of eating intestines but definitely worth trying because it is tasty! VIBES Genroku is a great restaurant for families. It definitely has a comfy feeling with the round lazy-susan tables and the yellower lighting. The decorations are a mix of Japanese/Chinese/Taiwanese influence which was pretty cool. Most of the customers at the time we went were older or families. SERVICE Service was great. The man who helped serve us was super sweet and was super patient. He gave us lots of time to think and plenty of recommendations. The food also came out very fast.

Recently came here for a private party and the food kept coming! Oh my goodness! I cannot tell you all the names but I think my favorite was the salt and pepper shrimp! Good was quick and everyone was so nice!

A co-worker recommended we try this place, and we were glad he did! We started with the beef rib special. There were five ribs and the meat on the bone was generous and with great flavor. Then we also tried their volcano roll (Friday night special) which had a different presentation from how we've had it in other restaurants, and it was also delicious. My husband had the Beef with Broccoli. While it had great flavor, it was heavy on the amount of onions in the dish and he wasn't expecting them to begin with given the description on the menu. I had the Basil Chicken (no bones option) at my co-workers encouragement and I can see why it was a favorite. Great flavor of the sauce and it is served in a stone like bowl that keeps it warm and really lets the flavors come together. We enjoyed a warmed sake with our dinner as well. Our server was friendly and great at suggesting options for us to consider. The ambiance is pretty traditional and casual. The pricing for all of this food was very reasonable and we left feeling very satisfied. We'll be back to try other dishes!

I've been a regular for a very long time. I bring my friends and family here whenever I can! I always get the Taiwanese dishes here. I love the basil pork intestines and jalepeno chicken in particular. The service is quick and prompt, and the decor is made to look as if you're dining outdoors! A great place to eat really good Taiwanese food. Can't reccomend this place enough!

This is the place I go when I want a taste like home. Food is delicious, not very pricey. Service is okay. They also serve sushi.. but we always get the Taiwanese food when we come here. Make sure to try their basil chicken bone in.. So delicious

Don't let the name fool you--Genroku Sushi & Grill has some of the most authentic Chinese food in the DFW area. It's also my family's favorite restaurant to come to because their food is consistent, and we're friendly with the manager and waiters! When my brother and I are home, we always ask to come to Genroku. Some of my favorite dishes are their pork belly appetizer, intestines, tomato and egg, and braised pork rice. I wish I knew the exact translation of some of my other favorite dishes, but just know that they're serve really solid Chinese food, and their service is really good too!

Lobster roll without the spicy mayo (daughter doesn't like spicy) and the Eel sauce (to make it gluten-free).

However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!

I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.

The three of us ordered a variety of sushi rolls and shared them. We went with a wide variety of options and found it was hard to land on just one favorite as a result. The prices were reasonable, and I will say the width of each piece was on the smaller end, and we still walked away very satisfied with the amount of our meal. The service was on the slower side. They got slammed shortly after we got there and said they don't typically have that much of a crowd on a Sunday night so it caught them off guard.
