They had such a great time and really enjoyed everything they ordered. I also like that this restaurant gives you the option to order a la carte if you're not looking to do AYCE, so there's something for everyone. The service was friendly, and we never felt rushed. A nice touch was that they offered ice cream at the end of the meal. We all left happy, and my nieces gave the restaurant 1000 stars.

The rice is nicely seasoned with vinegar and it just tastes delicious! I loved the eel nigiri because it was savory and sweet, as well as the spicy hotate (raw spicy scallop) because it was creamy and also fresh The calamari we had was the best calamari I've ever had! It had tempura batter, and you'd expect the squid to be chewy but it was actually very soft and delicious! Baked mussels were also a 10/10 although a bit cold. Very good though!! Spider roll was okay, it was crunchy and good but a little fishy since it's soft shelled crab. The dai dai roll was quite refreshing and good! The lemon adds some tart to it but there were quite a few pieces (8 pcs) so I don't recommend ordering if you are eating by yourself. Crazy nachos were good! Tuna was fresh but this was a bit too spicy for my liking (diablo sauce). Good with eel sauce though! The service was okay, the waitresses and servers were mostly nice but missed some of our orders. Ambiance is fine as well! I like how we were seated in smaller rooms with low lighting. Overall pretty good! The rice, fish freshness, and calamari did it for me :)

Service - Since the room sits outside the main area, Sushi Kushi uses a button on each table to request a server. Either the button on our table didn't work, or the staff were slow. As a result, it took longer than normal to put in our order. 1/2 Star. Food - Now, the good news is the sushi is very good for an AYCE place. Unlike buffets where roles sit out, the sushi at Sushi Kushi is made to order. I preferred the nigiri and sashimi, especially the Hamachi (yellow tail), sake (salmon), and seared beef. The rolls are a bit much, I would avoid them unless you want lots of rice and sauce that will mask the taste of the sushi. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Maybe. The sliced beef was an appropriate thickness and had an appropriate amount of fat. I've had this dish multiple times at other restaurants and unfortunately some of them have thick cuts of meat that are very lean. The consistency of the udon was al dente, and the curry broth was not too thick either. I got the nikutama soba this time around and the egg was perfect and flavorful! I would love to try the cold soba next time. Service has always been consistent and quick here, and the servers are always kind and helpful. I will be back!

I loved the basic side dishes that also came with the meal, especially the soybean paste soup, kimchi, salad, and bean sprouts !!! We also tried the corn cheeese, and it was very cheesy and a bit sweet which I loved. Every bite was bussin. You also get fried rice and ramen at the end, which is the cherry on top.
