After my mom left, he went back into the room to convince my brother to get on a low dose. Disgusting!! All they want is money by putting you on medication that creates more side effects for more money. I will definitely be reporting this doctor and do not reccommend this place. After 30 days of being there my brother has had very little improvements.

After only two months of bi-weekly therapy, now I can reach back, touch my back, no pain and they even helped me work out my chronic knot on my shoulder. The clinic currently has two separate large rooms with equipments but they mostly use just the side with the reception desk. I heard they're scheduled to remodel and make it one big gym with open space in the near future. They also have several smaller private rooms with beds. My PT was Chris and he's the bomb!! I was taken care of by Jack (DPT) and Holly (PTA) and I really appreciated their professionalism, their genuine interest in helping you get better in the areas you needed help...and simply their honesty and kindness to understand some of the issues I faced. I spent probably 1.5 months with the staff here doing some exercises at the location + take home exercises on my own as well and thought they were, for once, not too bad for a couch potato like me. But like I said, what I appreciated more was that they listened. I raised potential concerns that I had and talked about one specific symptom on one of my follow up appointments that seemed like it wouldn't so much be physical but may be a bit more neurology related and they honestly told me their capabilities and their thought on potential next steps that I might need to explore (since it might not be something that physical therapy that they could help with). My children said it's the first camp they have attended where they didn't feel nervous, thanks to the loving instruction from the wonderful assistants and therapy dogs. This camp is perfect for anyone tired of regular summer camps or children in need of therapy services. The dog breeds they have are not aggressive breeds, though you can bring your dog/puppy in for formal training. There were a handful of fluffy lab puppies the week my children attended. What a great idea! The facility is well designed and safe for children and dogs. Melissa Winkle, the owner, is very difficult to contact and numerous days pass before she returns a call. However, she does call back and answers all questions satisfactorily.

As an…read moreOT practitioner who wants to work with my dog in animal assisted therapy she provided a wealth of information and hands on learning during the 6 days I spent there with my dog Winston. During the workshop portion, I enjoyed her informative & interactive teaching style as well as the intimate group (8 people) setting. She presented the core info but incorporated the needs of the group of attendees as well. Being able to participate in the summer camp that she put on was an extra special treat. Most of the attendees had already been trained to work with the dogs and they were eager to help anyone who needed it. Since Winston was a newbie the campers seemed to enjoy the challenge of teaching him new tricks. I was impressed with Melissa's ability to create a safe and fun place for the animals and the campers to enjoy each other and how organized she was. Melissa personally took the time to work on one with me and was very generous with her vast experience/knowledge of handling, dog behavior and incorporating all of that into therapy. I'm so glad I went!

We've been to a few places around town (Chatterbox, Indigo), and each of them, including this one, has pretty typical management. This means some decisions they make are frustrating and other aspects run smoothly. We had a wonderful therapist at Indigo who unfortunately quit. The management only gave us one weeks' notice despite having like a month's foresight, and we were left without a therapist, which is why we tried Climbing Tree. The speech therapist we were assigned here, Sarah, is dedicated, devoted, and serious about helping her patients improve. And for this experience (going on for half a year now), we're giving this place 5 stars. But be aware your mileage may vary greatly, and it is always worth exploring all your options.

For nearly a month I drove 18-miles one way, to basically clean the office, top to bottom including the bathroom. I was there to gain experience in the field of Occupational Therapy so that I might know that this is indeed the field for me. Schools require service in the field and it's become harder to get this exposure coupled with intense competition. As a result Climbing Tree Therapy Clinic has become one of many such private clinics that uses people, hard-working students trying to do the right thing, as nothing more than salary-free housemaids. Unlike the big hospitals where I had over 130hrs volunteering in the field of PT, with a set schedule of therapists you help out and shadow, There was absolutely no structure here. In addition no background checks, no communicable disease tests or vaccinations as does most places to protect clientele (e.g., TB testing and criminal record check) considering they work primarily with children this is concerning and yet my suggestions fell on the deaf ears of the administration head. I would often show up an hr earlier than the staff with nothing to do, so I would read various books on OT. Then when staff would show up, I would hear 2nd and 3rd hand that I wasn't busy enough?!?! This place desperately needs some training on how to best use folks valuable time so that it's a positive experience all around. I just couldn't believe how badly I was treated and I was "Giving" my time, that's what a volunteer is and should be appreciated not told to go scrub a toilet because there is no proper management.

InnovAge PACE of Albuquerque failed me in every way. In the 2 months I was enrolled with them I was…read moreneglected where I lost both dignity and self-respect. I'm a quadriplegic (C 7-8 Spinal Cord Injury) that's confined to a wheelchair that tries to be as independent and out-going as possible, but PACE creates an atmosphere of dependence. Don't believe them or their buses when they claim that their program is about YOUR TERMS and INDEPENDENCE because neither is true. I better pause for a moment and say that if you are in need of day care during weekdays and have other help at home then it may be ok for you or a loved one, but I would be cautious. Back to me, in the 35 years on wheels it is absolutely the worst healthcare system that I have ever experienced. Even though I strive on being independent but it's just me and there's many things I just can't do. In the 2 months I received an average of 1 shower a week (they promised 2 but rarely showed up on Friday that leaves me at home for the weekend because of my smell), they didn't complete 1 load of laundry and I average 1 a day (but promised 1 load a week and light house cleaning once every other week, WOW!), they swept twice but never mopped, did some dishes once, vacuumed once, never cleaned the bathroom or shower, did change the bed twice but obviously no detail cleaning. More things about them: whether you take a bus to their facility or stay at home, you belong to them between 8 am to 4 pm weekdays. If you go there, they make a run for 4-5 passengers any time after 8 (better be ready at all times because they only give you approximately 5 minutes heads up) and 10 am. They make the return trip starting at 3:30 pm so they can charge a full day of day care. If you stay home your either waiting for home services to possibly show up or supplies (which I received about half of) showing up out of the blue, they give about a half hour notice on that. FEEL THE CONFINEMENT? Oh, there's much more. The bus at first used to show everyday whether I asked them to or not, I truly believe they charge the taxpayer either way. It doesn't do any good to find your own transportation there because they don't make appointments, you still have to wait for your turn, again charging more day care. Be prepared to play phone tag (taking up more time) because you usually have to leave a message because they rarely pick up their phones, they are usually just wondering around the building trying to look busy. More wasted taxpayer money! I suffered through 3 UTI's in the 2 months I was there because the doctor (who thinks she's the greatest ever and obviously doesn't believe in preventive care) wouldn't approve the pre-lubed sterile catheters I've been using for years or any sterile catheters at all. Instead, I was caught reusing catheters with KY. It hurt so bad to use them and high risk for a false entry, I had one back in the early days reusing catheters with KY that required a 125-mile ambulance trip to take me to a urologist surgeon. Almost bled to death, but she (doctor) didn't care about the risk. I'll stop there but the whole experience created more stress and depression again causing low self-esteem, loss of dignity and more confinement (dependency) than I've ever experienced. It was such a relief to disenroll with them. I can't prove possible fraud, but the rest are facts so please be aware if you're thinking about enrolling in InnovAge PACE. Thank you for reading.

Did not love my experience with PT at Dawn…read more They are VERY hard to reach on the phone. I guess they do not have an answering service?? Took a few weeks before we finally connected. Finally reached someone on the phone so I could start scheduling appointments. I told him I couldn't do anything before 10:00am because I don't live in the city, and he scheduled one for 11 then asked, "How about 7:00?" I'm PRETTY sure 7 is before 10... For my first appointment I ended up driving around and around trying to find some place to park. They told me later when I mentioned it that despite their "No Parking" signs, you MAY park in their small lot at the corner of Central & High St. Entrance is on High St. Tiny waiting room. They have wifi. (Which they also neglected to tell me.) . I did not click with my therapist either, although that is just personalities. I have a joint injury as well as another diagnosis and I don't really appreciate being told that I "just need to get over it." I went looking for assistance and care, not arguments about how many push-ups I can do. After my second appointment the aggravation and pain were just too much and I cancelled all my remaining appointments. I'll find a more caring provider somewhere else. I tried to get a feel for other clients and everyone seemed to be leaving there in good spirits, however one woman came in and cancelled all her appointments as well. (I couldn't determine why) There are numerous therapists, so it's possible some are a better fit for certain clients than others, and they were all very friendly it seemed.
