This is a warning .. the dentist cancels the same day after u have taken off work for your appointment.. they tell u what insurance covers n then insurance don't cover it n u end up with a bill .. the dentist don't know how to write it up to have insurance cover it .. I ended up with a huge bill that they kept saying was covered n 3 days later I get a bill I call again they said it's not right .. for 10 months this goes on .. no one returns calls they changed hands n names of business u don't know that either till u get a bill .. read the reviews . This is your warning they don't care about their patients .. im not one to usually do a review but I feel like I'm not the only one that has been thru this .. find some place better I wouldn't waste your time or money . I have been going here a long time and they have recently SWITCHED HANDS and the minute I did not like something about my dentures they sent me out the door with them in my hands and told me they would not correct the issue , I have never been treated so poorly this is my mouth every one see when face to face so nice dentures are very important to me they were so insensitive to my situation ........... I've been coming here for a few years now and i absolutely love them. My dental hygienist is always so nice and professional. Dr.Chandra is always nice and professional and it's always a pleasure to see her. There are often times long waits to get an appointment, but if there is ever a cancellation, you can get bumped up if needed. read more

They will rush you in and out the office. They have so many patients they don't even change gloves between patients, which is very unsanitary. The dentists work is good but the poor dentist is overbooked. Since patients are booked back to she doesn't have time to fully assess the situation because she's rushing. They seem like they are just money grabbers they will offer care plan which includes unnecessary often more expensive procedures. The office is small and cramped. the receptionist don't listen, they give misinformation. They actually let the entire office know information that I would like to have kept private. After being a loyal patient at Nikodem for years (well over 10 years) I am not searching for a new dentist. Twice now in a years time I have been scheduled for cleanings and they changed my appointment with "0" communication. Today they actually tried to claim that I called them to cancel my appointment. I showed them my phone records from the date they claimed I called to cancel to prove they were in the wrong. I had my work schedule modified for months so that I could make the appointment today. The front office definitely needs new procedures to verify who is "calling to cancel/change" appointments. Otherwise, they are just finding excuses for their screw up. I hate having to find a new home after all of these years but Nikodem does not care about patients; You are just another number to them. read more

I have been going here for years. At other dentist offices it takes an act of God to get a teeth cleaning appointment. I usually call and can get an appointment that week or the next week. I do not like to schedule 3 or 6 months in advance do to changes in meetings at work. They will schedule you with the same hygienist each appointment. All of them have been great so I let them know just schedule who is available. The staff is super nice and they send text reminders of appointments. They make good dental hygiene easy! read more

The Nikodem office in Hazelwood is wonderful! I initially went to this dentist because of the new patient promo they had going but quickly decided that this was where I needed to go from now on. Each appointment, I've been welcomed in a friendly manner, brought back by the hygienist quickly and had a great overall experience. One of the hygienists, Donna, has become someone I specifically request now. She does an excellent job - not only in her thoroughness during the cleaning but also in educating her patients about maintaining good oral hygiene. I feel so much more informed since I've been coming and know I'm in good hands! If you're looking for a great dentist office, the search is over! Going to the dentist may not be the most pleasant experience for most people but my dental hyginist Donna was absoletely the best. The positive attitude, caring nature and conversation skills helped me be more comfortable with the whole experience. She really took the time to explain so many aspects of dental hygiene. I would not recommend this dental practice. I go every six months for dental cleaning. I had a dentist I really liked and trusted but she went to a more expensive dental insurance plan so I decided to go to Nikodem. When I went to them for a six month cleaning I was told that my gums had receded significantly in the six months since my last cleaning, to the point where I needed to come in twice for deep cleaning, once for each side of my mouth. I would also have to start coming for cleaning every four months rather than six months. I do not believe in six months my gums could have possibly receded as much as Nikodem said they did. I have no mouth pain, no sensitivity, and no bleeding gums. I believe they said this to get me to do the more expensive deep cleaning. I also heard them tell the lady in the next cubicle that she too needed deep cleaning. I do not trust this dental practice and will not go back. read more

My wife went to them for dentures in June of 2017. They did not tell her that they don't pull all your teeth for dentures. They perforated her sinuses for 3 months of pain and loss of considerable weight.They worked on her with out fixing the problem. She went to an oral surgeon in October of 20147 to have there mistake fixed by someone that new what they were doing. After 12 months from the time she had her teeth pulled, she could not were her dentures. Biggest mistake of her life. She passed away in July 2018 and still could not were them . If you need dentures please don't use the one in Hazelwood. Her experience was a mistake from the first day. Go any were else but them!!!!! read more

Please don't use this dental office! I went to Dr. Nikodem in high school, and after moving to the city and dealing with the south county location for a while without feeling comfort with the staff, I decided Nikodem Sr. Was totally worth the drive to North county. When I arrived for my appointment I was informed my former dentist had retired, and my appointment would be with Dr. Chandra. I should have run away at that strangeness, but waiting 6 weeks anywhere as a new patient didn't SEEM worth it. She announced several times during the appointment that she didn't have time for me, and they all acted like my scheduled appointment was a big favor they were doing for me. At some point, a hygienist came in to tell Dr. Chandra that her daughter was here for the wisdom tooth extraction Dr. Chandra forgot she said she'd do. Then she left and they said some horrid things about this lady asking for favors. She filled two teeth poorly. Overfilled both. When she was removing the scaffolding on my back molar, I felt a sharp click, and heard her sigh exasperatedly. I asked her what was wrong and she explained that I might have some bleeding. What she didn't mention, was that she snapped off a quarter of the tooth with the scaffolding. I told her the other filling felt high. She said it wasn't. I told her I could feel pain when trying to close my mouth, and that the edges were very sharp on both fillings. She told me this was normal, and that they would "wear down a little in a few days and feel normal". So, yeah, no. A week later I was still having sharp pain with the unknowingly chipped tooth and I called to get an apt to have it fixed. I told them it was a painful filling, done within a week. They told me they didn't have availability for 8 weeks. I felt this was highly unprofessional and began the hunt for a new, more qualified and professional office. These people are supposed to be DOCTORS AND SURGEONS. I mean, you can die from improperly done dental work folks, yikes. After seeing another dentist a few months later, a qualified one, they informed me that the back tooth was sharply broken in the back corner, and you could still see the indentions of the scaffolding, meaning they hadn't been brave enough to try to sand the edges after they knowingly broke the tooth, otherwise it would be highly unusual to leave a new filling unfiled, with bits hanging over. The overfilled second filling was identified to be the source of my TMJ, and he explained that improper fillings can absolutely cause jaw misalignment and are not to be ignored by a dentist, even one in a rush. Please, I know the pain of finding a new dentist, especially if you haven't been in a while you might be tempted to return to a old place that is familiar without having to hassle for a new dentist. This line of thinking cost me 2500 in fillings, replacement fillings and a crown on the tooth they broke that a more qualified, unhurried dentist could have filled without issue. After insurance. I had a horrible toothache and they were able to get me an appointment within twenty four hours. The staff was very friendly and professional. The dentist was thorough and pulled my tooth with as little discomfort as possible. I was also given a cute little gift bag to welcome me as a new patient. Went in to get upper and lower dentures. They could not get their set of lower dentures right...so it MUST have been my fault! They worked with me and FINALLY got them to adjust right. 4 months later, the UPPER dentures break completely in 2 pieces...right down the middle! They only offer a 3 month warranty, imagine that! Had Dr. Chandra do some work on me and it all went south in 6 months. My new dentist had to redo all the fillings she had done and the two crowns she did. She had also pulled a tooth on me and that was the worst experience ever. Even the assistant said she wasn't very good at extractions. Nicodem Dental is THE biggest ripoff I have ever had the misfortune of coming in contact with! I bought my 83 yr. old mother a new set of dentures for Christmas and, to this day, she STILL has not been able to eat with them! From the very beginning, the started off with a girl who gave us false information/prices, which they later admitted she had been wrong because she "was new," and since then, I have taken mom back FOUR times for them to try to get the bottom teeth right so she can use them! They completely don't fit....they actually flop out of her mouth sometimes, even with proper adhesive, and they have gouges in them from the place trying to "fix" them by sanding and who knows what. I called the office manager at the main branch to try and work something out and she wouldn't return my calls. When I filed a chargeback with my credit card, they LIED (which I'm going to fight AGAIN)! I paid $1.000.00 for nothing but CRAP and now it's affecting her health because she hasn't been able to eat solid food for over 5 months. I want my money back so I can go buy some "Real" teeth for the poor woman SO SHE CAN EAT!!! Shame on this place! read more
